  1. Roman is different from the Yanks who are only in it to make money and the others who are into it for sportswashing. Roman loves football and Chelsea and only wants what is best for the club and its fans. For those reasons I am more shocked and disappointed in him than I am with the others. He panicked and went against his instincts knowing what he was doing was wrong and not what Chelsea fans want. I just hope he's strong enough to admit he made a big mistake and pulls ud out of this before its too late.
  2. I'm against politics and protests being dragged onto the field of play, but now that's its here, I hope the players come up with something on the pitch to show they stand against the SL. The middle finger salute would be fine by me.
  3. I'd rather our club get left behind than move forward with this shitshow.
  4. And how the fcuk does a club who haven't won the English league since the days when The Beatles were playing the Cavern Club, qualify for this so called Super League?
  5. They also think they have a captive audience which will continue to watch no matter what. Well, they should take a look across the pond and see how Americans have turned away in their droves from watching their major sports on tv over the last year.
  6. Maybe a simple compromise with the bottom four of the Super League being relegated and replaced by the top four of the Europa League.
  7. No, you're not understanding it wrong. You'll get a few of the "big 6" already well out of the title race by Xmas, so they will indeed have nothing to play for. You'll have half a seasons worth of games that are even more flat than what we've seen this season.
  8. They're just chasing their tail with this never ending lusr for more and more money which just ends up being blown on ridiculous transfer fees and obscene wages.
  9. Nothing wrong in making a massive U-turn when you realise you've made such a bad/wrong call on something.
  10. I'm a staunch Capitalist, but there's your decent, very hardworking ones who create businesses, jobs and wealth and then there's your Gordon Gekko' cunts of this world. Sad to see our great game and clubs being run those sorts.
  11. Taking that train of thought. How about all the other clubs suing the ass of the Super League for not allowing them to compete for the right to play in it? Discrimination and a restraint of trade and all that.
  12. If the players do not make a stand against this then i'll have no sympathy whatsoever for any of them! Everyone is saying the power is in the hands of the owners, but it simply couldn't be further from the truth. On top of the massive fan power, If the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar. Mbappe, Klopp, Pep et al, took the lead and said they will have nothing to do with it, the whole thing would collapse overnight like a house of cards.
  13. He's a busted flush as far as being a big club manager in England. Could see clubs like a Newcastle or Villa wanting him but I highly doubt he'd be willing to join clubs of that level. His best days are clearly over so TV work is where his future in the game is now.
  14. Was hoping he stayed, because they were going nowhere with that dinosaur in charge. With a progressive manager and a couple of good defenders they could be a threat next season.
  15. Load of bluster we've seen numerous times before which will just end with tweeks to the CL format and money to clubs.
  16. Such a great shame to get that injury right at the time he was really starting to blossom as a player. Seems to have lost muscle and doesn't physically the same person anymore and a shadow of the player he was just before that injury. Sadly, looks so far from good enough for us now that we have no choice but to move him on.
  17. Re Chilwell. Think he's been average at best for much of the season, but i have to say I was impressed with him yesterday. Apart from that sitter he missed which was a bit eek!!!
  18. I've been watching football a long time and that goal at Barca is right up there with the most exciting, memorable moments I've ever experienced watching any sport, nevermind football and Chelsea. Let's not forget he also played a good part in winning the EL as well. While not a big success, those two significant contributions to two major trophies should not be overlooked.
  19. Nonsense to say our fans have underrated Azpi. I've never seen anyone say he's been anything less than a top player for us and one of the best value for money signings we've ever made. Some fans saying his legs have gone is not the same thing at all as underrating him.
  20. Another big thing has changed, and that's our defending against set pieces. When they got a corner in the last minute, I was no longer automatically thinking goal to the opposition.
  21. Very well deserved win by our lads!!! Think this defeat will pump City up for their final against Spuds and end Jose's time there.
  22. City been the best team for last 20 mins, but we've been the better team today and deserve to win
  23. This pitch looks to be playing a bit slow.
