Only way I see Rice coming in is if we can offset some of the cost by sending Wet Spam a Dross Barkley, Batsh*t or Drinky or something. If he could be had for say £30m plus Dross, then I am ok. £70m cash is madness in this market.

Such a liar. Jose is one of those people in the game that you can tell is a massive fan of football and it is not just his job. Like us, he probably keeps track of everyone in the league and also what is going on the in big 5 leagues.
-
Depending on the kind of money Napoli rake in for KK, they may also be an option for Jorgi. Personally, in this market I reckon he will be going for around £30-£40m range.

I honestly think Atalanta have a great shout at winning the CL. They have something crazy like 97 goals in 33 games in Serie A. In one off games, they will be uber dangerous as they just attack non-stop for 90 minutes.

I really liked Schurrle and always thought that he was perfect AM3/4 as he was one of those players that seemed to be able to step off the bench but immediately be up to speed with the game. Further, he always was quite good at attacking and find space in the box which meant against tried legs he could affect games late on. However, after winning the WC he got some mystery illness (possibly depression) and was never the same and quickly moved back to Germany. All in all, I'll remember him for the title in 2015 and wish him all the best!

I dunno, I think we have to be careful about sending Kepa to Atleti. I mean, can you seriously see Costa and Simone putting up with some of Kepa's performances? If he replicated his form from here, there, I could honestly see some sort of real life Ramsey Bolton shit with him ending up in a Reek 1 shirt by the end of the season.

With the Dippers next season I am hoping for Dortmund Meltdown Part II.
-
Please let it not be us that he comes to. He is bang average.

We have far too many problems atm to think about a title push in the next two seasons. At the moment, we have the following problems: 1) A GK that lets in nearly 50% of shots on goal in. 2) Four CB's that show no leadership qualities and all have individual weaknesses that the opposition know and exploit. 3) An attack that creates lots of chances but has really poor conversion rate (this may already been remedied but we still have to wait and see.) 4) A midfield that is pretty lightweight and gets overpowered and even out ran at times. 5) One LB that downed tools and another who, whilst great getting forward, is very slow to recover. For me, to expect to solve all those issues in one year is asking too much. Next year the expectation should just be CL qualification and anything else is a bonus. That would still be progress as surely this year would've been Ropey League qualification and a cup would be a bonus.
-
The problem is that we need someone to be a complete crack head and have no knowledge of football whatsoever in order to get rid of Kepa. He is so bad, his stats are now the worst ever in PL history for someone starting more than 6 games. So it is no longer worst in 25, it is now worst 25×28 or worst in 700 (approx.)
-
Only team Batsh*t will go to in the PL is Palace. They have scored 30 goals in 36 games and they liked him. If he goes anywhere it will be there. Problem however will be cost as they do not do expensive signings.

Yeah, I just went and looked again and edited my initial post!

Complete reserve side against Utd at the weekend please. We need a result against the Dippers now. If we lose we will be fucked if Utd and Leicester win their next ones as they can just play out a draw and finish above us on goal difference.
-
Well they should've had a penalty but as it is Utd, they obviously didn't get it and then Utd ran down the other end of the pitch and scored. Game over now, Man Utd are probably the best counter attacking team in the league and Palace have zilch to play for.
-
At this moment in time, I think we have to go with a reserve side, depending on what happens tonight. At the moment, there is the possibility that Utd and Leicester win both their next two games. If that happens and we lose to the Dipper's then they can play out for a draw and unless we beat Wolves 15-0 or something crazy they will finish above us.

Yeah, I would agree but I think SFL has a hard on for Kante and it is the only way I see him fitting into the side if Harvetz arrives.
-
Another option is: Kante Mount. Harvetz Ziyech. Werner. Puli Personally, I reckon if Harvetz comes here he will be made into a No.8 in a 433 and a No.10 in a 4231. I think this may be one of the reasons he is open to Chelsea as he can learn from SFL who was the best goal scoring No.8 in the past 30 years. I think people get way too wrapped up in the positions Harvetz has played this season. He has ended up at RWF/CF due to injuries and his talent level, which means he can play a variety of positions to a very high level without a drop off in quality - think Balack/Rooney/Alaba/Saul. However, long term I believe he is best off in midfield has he has the ability to dictate play and score goals. If you stick him in one of the three forward positions he will maybe score more but he will not be able to take control of games as easily.
-
KK must be on his way. No way do Napoli lay that sort of money out - especially when they will not have CL next season, barring a miracle - on a player without bringing money in.
-
Tbf, I think what Utd do is they offer a salary that is tied to CL football. This consequently means that if they are in the CL they player will get say £100k and if not they it will be reduced by 25% so they get £75k instead. The author is obviously a bit of an idiot and does not realise how to use percentages properly, but I was able to sort of get their logic. As for Utd's wage will, I do believe that operate at a (base) -25%(or another percentage) for lack of CL. This sort of policy can be seen when they were last out of the CL, where their wage bill took a dip and then bounced back again.
-
Especially a defender that relies on pace and will be 30 within two years. Only team that will agree to that is Barca but they have surely got to cut back on wages.
-
No, except for second highest point total.
-
For me our problem is not Leicester (who I think will only get a point or two against Sheff Utd and Spurs) or Utd who I fully expect to get an absolute minimum of 5 points from their next three games, it is Wolves. I say this because if Chelsea draw with the Dippers (which most people would think is a good result) but Wolves win their two against Burnley (tough but winnable for Wolves) and Palace (lost their last five and appear to be on the beach) it will mean that a win at SB puts them above us on GD. For me, unless Wolves fail to beat Burnley, we are going to have to beat the Dippers as I do not see Utd getting anything less than 5 points in their next three games, while we all also know that we will bend over as easily as a prozzie in the Amsterdam if Wolves come into our game needing a win.
-
Agreed. If he could just add something like 5-6 goals and 5-6 assists a season he would be an untouchable.
-
Torres would actually be a great replacement for Willian.
-
Yeah, Mount is probably the most knackered player. I do not think it is a bad idea he misses this one also. Kova has not played much since the restart so he can keep that position. The other two in midfield should be Jorgi (keep Kante for the Dippers) and Barkley/RLC.
