Yeah, Ramsey have fuc* off. He is 29, injury prone, on £400k a week and is boarderline lightweight. I do actually think he is a good player but he is certainly one we do not need. De Ligt would be a dream but I do not see it. We would have to chuck in Jorgi, Emerson and some money to pull that one off and even then, I do not see Juve going for it. As for Kai, we'll see. I have not really been buying into the links as I believe 99% of sport journalism is now just click bait. However, if we do get him the worry will be what is left in the budget for defence and the GK. They are surely the biggest priorities right now.

So, as I am bored and cannot get to sleep I thought I would take a look at what Leicester fans think of Chilwell as I simply cannot believe some people think he is worth anything over £30m. Here are some of the things they say: His erraticness in the final 3rd is every bit as bad as Jeffrey Schlupp's, but to be fair at least Chilwell was never a striker in his early years so its not been his main priority when learning his craft. I just struggle to believe his end product will improve enough to be considered one of the best left backs in the league and Europe, which is what the media are alluding he is given the prices bandied about. Happily sell, we've often looked more of a cohesive team without him just like we did without Maguire last season when he was unavailable. He is the one asset we could afford to lose and it not make us immediately weaker. £55m + add ons and i'd have a lockdown party. I think Chillwell has a real lack of footballing intelligence. He doesn't see the pictures on the pitch that the best players see. He's got so much pace and ability to dribble yet he rarely tries to beat a player and pull the ball back. It's probably his greatest ability and he doesn't use it. It's infuriating. Well if we didn't replace him we would become immediately weaker. Whenever Fuchs plays you appreciate what Chillwell offers in actually getting us up the field, Fuchs barely crosses the half way line these days. We could absolutely sign a replacement that would be cheaper and improve the position though. It's so annoying because he's so close but he has the ball much more in the opponents half and doesn't seem to improving in this area. If I was Rodgers, I'd have him up against a couple of the u23s with the sole aim of bursting past them and putting hard low cross into a dangerous area. He reminds me of Schlupp so much. The amount of time i'm willing him to just knock it past a right back, sprint past him and whip a cross in. It's like he doesn't realise he's rapid. Happy to see chilwell leave. Of all the players linked with moved away he’s probably the most replaceable and least important. So if he’s the important player that leaves this year I’ll take that. Just hope we can get telles in. That would be a major upgrade.

I would keep the same team but have Jorgi and Alonso start for Gilmour and James. If Kova is fit, then maybe start him ahead of Barkley.

I actually game Zouma MotM as I love a hard tackle like he put in but you're right he is partly at fault for that and on the first one he also needs to be stepping out and closing down Zaha as both Dave and AC are in position; further everyone knows Kepa is a complete clown so ir is not like you can trust him to save a shot on target. Today again just emphasised how bad our CB's are. All three (Tomori I am excluding at this moment due to small sample size) are really only adequate for a CB3/4 role. Rudi has the heart but no brain, AC has the positioning and reading but is a wimp and Zouma has the athleticism and strength but cannot read the game nor pass under pressure. So, whilst we can all say play any one of the possible combinations, we still produce pure comedy gold moments as each one is flawed. Yeah, Rudi has been dire this season. Only reason I think he has escaped criticism until recently is because he shouts and brings some enthusiasm which pretty much makes him the only one in the back line that does it.

That game really showed the worst of us. We score three, but we must've had a xg6 or something. From off the top of my head we had: Willian miss at 2-0, Zouma free header miss at 1-0, Giroud free header 2-1, Tammy scuff 3-2, Mount to the bottom corner 3-2, Willian block 3-2. Then at the back we provided yet more comedy gold moments. Kepa not able to save a shot straight at him, AC bamboozled by a slight turn of pace, Tammy giving the ball away cheaply at 2-1 etc. Tbh, if we get CL I will be amazed, we are so sloppy. Oh, and Jorgi needs to start.
-
Yeah, remind me not to suggest bets to you again! 😅 As for the game, Mount and Puli have been stars. Giroud doing well when the ball goes into him and I do not think Gilmour is actually playing that badly. As for there goal, this is way have have been slaughtering Kepa. He is dog sh*t in every area - can't kick, can't save, can't catch, can't boss his six yard area because he is a pussy, is funsized with t-rex arms etc. Any decent GK saves that. However, there are others at fault, James gave the ball away cheaply, Gilmour went and chased the ball rather than stay in position and Zouma holds off instead of stepping out to close the space and not allowed the shot. All in all, just cementing what we know, our GK and defence is now the absolute No.1 priority in the transfer market.

Yeah, such a price tag should put any team off as that is far too high. Although, when I think of Chilwell for anything about £40m, maybe it isn't. However, the fly in the ointment for WHU will be that if we do go hard for him, I reckon Rice may put in a transfer request. It is quite clear from everything that has been said and his Chelsea supporting family that he is as close as a true supporter goes for a professional footballer. I mean, we know Sancho was a Chelsea fan as a kid but I am not sure he was one on the terraces like Rice.

Tbh, I was basing it on watching RLC since he first appeared in the first team, rather than since he has come back from this injury.
-
I imagine he will be. What is important for him is to get minutes so I want him on loan against next season. Whilst I love a youth product in the first team, it is also important that they play as much men's as possible between 18-22.
-
Tbf, he could say exactly the same about RLC compared to Mount and Kova (and to a certain extent Barkley too.)
-
My money would be on PSG. I still reckon we will end up with Telles.
-
I am not sure on him as a No.4 as I do not think he has the positional discipline and I would also worry he wouldn't recycle the ball quickly enough.
-
I don't disagree but the option is, have a soft as shit CB in front of the attacker, or have two CB's showing the attacker inside on their strong foot or chasing 10 yards behind.
-
Cahill is 22/1 to score anytime. With our set piece defending and their set piece delivery, that looks like good value.
-
Yeah, this is coming from Simon Johnson though. The man that wrote a feature length article on how Pedro was not signing an extension three days before Pedro signed an extension. So, whilst it may happen, this bloke doesn't know anything we don't.
-
AC keeps his position as he is the only one that has any positional sense. Whilst AC is without doubt a massive wimp for a CB, he is also the only one of the four that you can rely on not to go on a walk about mid-match.

SMS is a very good player and he is one I have touted a few times. However, there are a few draw backs and I think if he was brought it would require quite a lot of shuffling in CM. Firstly, the good. SMS is quite technical and has two very good feet. This allows him to shift the ball quickly and he can pass/shoot with both fairly easily. Further, he is a pretty big unit and is good at defending set pieces and can intercept fairly well, while he can do the miles. Now for the bad. He is slow, and when I say slow I am talking Alonso level slow. Now this isn't as big an issue for a CM as it is for a LB but I am not sure people around here would be happy with it. Second is that he has the habit of allowing some games to pass him by, this has not been am issue so much this season, apart from the odd game, but last season it happened a lot. For me, he has a lot of characteristics that we need from a No.6, however I wouldn't say he is prefect as he isn't going to go beast mode like a Essien or Yaya. Further, to accommodate him I would say we would need to sell Kante and Barkley, while I would also question if we could then afford a another big name player such as Harvetz. For me, to accommodate him it would require a lot of movement of players; unless Roman really is partying like it is 2004. For instance, this is one of the only ways I see it working: No4 - Jorgi, Gilmour No6 - SMS, Kova No8 - Mount, RLC However, even then, I personally think Mount is developing into a No.6 rather than a No.8, so even if we buy SMS we may quickly find we are stacked at No.6 and lacking at No.8.

This calls for Vesper!

Talk about only hearing what you want to hear. That said, I have heard is whole family are massive Chelsea fans so it would be a bit like one of us playing for West Ham and hoping we could play for us. We already know that when we released him he was distraught.
-
Didn't realise F.Torres only had a year left. He is a very interesting player. Doesn't get the most amazing stats but his play between/breaking the lines and close control is very very high. He is one of those AM's like B.Silva for City, will be a very smart signing imo.

I think my posts have been taken on slightly the wrong way. My initial point was that I questioned the original articles announcement that SFL had an IQ of 150. As I pointed out, a lot of IQ test's do not go above 130 and, for those that do, it means SFL would be in the extreme end of genius since this is notmally assigned to those with an IQ above 130 (which is also why some tests do not go above that level.) Further from reading the article, it seems that they have based his on his GCSE results and not an actual IQ test which is a poor form of extrapolation. As for my comment about humanity, by that I meant with an intelligence of that level he would be approaching Turing/Einstein levels. I never said he would be some great healer, I meant that he would have a level of intelligence that allows him to deal with highly philosophical/mathematical/scientific problems. No where did I indicate that having a high IQ means you can solve societal problems or that you would be nice.

Batsh*t is reportedly on £110k and Moses is £75-90k depending on the source. If either are close to being true, that is much higher than they are worth.
-
I mean them willing to go when they still have a lot of money left for their last year. If they hold out for this year, then they keep their high wage for this year, then next year when they leave on a free they will probably pick up a higher wage than they would this Summer as they will be signed on a free. Only party who benefits financially at this point is us. Tbf, Batsh*t may agree a move owing to the Euro's. However, apart from that there is no real point from his perspective.
-
No one is buying Zappa and Drinky. We will be lucky to find loans with their wages covered. Moses and Batsh*t will also be tough sells with their contact situations.
-
This is slight semantics. My point was that a 150 IQ, if done on a test that went that high, is a score that means that SFL would be of exceptional intellect. My point was that I do not doubt he is intelligent but I doubt he is as high as that as such a figure would give him an exceptional level of intelligence. If he is that high then it is a shame for humanity that he decided to focus on football.
