Should have sold last year. He is now a year older, coming off a bad season (which I actually think is reflective of his true ability), Utd have a 25% sell on clause, he earns over £100k and we are now in Corona times. Only chance they get over £35m now is if Everton are still buying players whilst on crack. It is funny you had this here as I have just got off the phone to my cousin who is a Palace supporter (all my Dad's side are apart from him.) He just told me something that absolutely cracked me up. So, as we all know Palace cannot score a goal to save their lives (31 in 38 games) and they sent Sorloth (23 years old at the time) off to Turkey in August. Anyway, long story short, the kid cracked in 24 goals and got 9 assists and finished the top scorer in the league and won rave reviews. However, some bright spark on the Palace board sent him out for 2 years, didn't put a recall clause in and gave Trabzonspor a option to buy clause of only €6m. I was honestly nearly crying he was so pissed. This is probably up there with paying £30m for Benteke.

Do we get a sell on fee or did we get paid upfront? I have read both so not sure.
-
He does but I am not sold on him, seen him make really silly mistakes this season. 2 v us at home (fumble + weak wrist), 1 v Liverpool (ball went straight through him), 1 v Le Arse in the cup (jumped over the ball) and 1 in the league against a team who I cannot remember (possibly Newcastle) where he got beaten really easily at his near post. Henderson for me is another English GK that is being over hyped.

Doesn't surprise me, Aarons is very canny in that he doesn't really do anything wrong and gets up and down pretty well. However, with the club captain being there and James in reserve and trusted by the club Aarons/new RB is way down the priority list and possibly even bottom.

Are there any players from the relegated sides that people like the look of? In my opinion, at Watford Sarr is going to be a very good player, whilst someone like Ben Foster (who will probably not go to a big club) would make a excellent GK2 option. At Norwich, there is Cantwell, Aarons, Lewis and Beudia (although I see absolutely no place for them here owing to the nature of our squad needs/make up). At Bournemouth their is Ake (probably too small as SFL has already said this is an issue).

So essentially if a PL club win the Ropey or CL they will not be able to play until 24 as they are going to play in the Super Cup.

Yeah we need Kante back to track Aubame-blood-clart-yang
-
Yeah, I agree, I think it is clear he is going for a 433/4231 (these are pretty easy to switch between): Kante/Gilmour/Jorgi Mount/Kova. Harvetz/RLC Ziyech/Willian. Puli/CHO Werner/Tammy/Giroud That for me is a real squad. For the first time since that mid 00's we can say we have two players for every position. CHO for me, does not need to go as he will still get minutes. The ones to go will be Barkley + Jorgi (sale)/Gilmour (loan). Could maybe say we are heavy at CF if we're playing only 1 CF but Giroud is on a rolling 12 month contract so it is not crazy.

Why the fu*k does there need to be a picture of him with his top off to sell coffee?
-
Rice will have to pull a Payet and ask for the transfer.
-
Wait, so £72m in total with all add ons, or £72m+ add ons?

Yeah, I thought it must of been a Anti-Trump of Anti-Brexit person. Only someone of that leaning would do something like this in public.
-
Would be harsh. The EFL cup brings in a lot of revenue for League One and Two clubs. They have already been decimated by the closure. If they want to cancel the EFL Cup the PL teams should put their hands in their pockets.

Beat expectations. I predicted 6th. So, 4th plus a cup final is way beyond. However, there is still work to do, I would say that things for SFL to do are: 1) Buy a new GK 2) Buy a new CB 3) Buy a new LB 4) Stop going completely gun-ho and leaving us wide open at the back. All he needs to do here is the easy to do 1 in front, 1 behind system i.e. when pressing have 1 CB in front of the attacker left up field and have the other CB or DMF sitting behind but in front of the next furthest up field opposition attacker. 5) Employ someone to coach the defense properly at set pieces.

This gif actually made me lol. Caan anyone tell me its real context?

I think what has happened with Willian is that he got some amazing offee pre-Covid and was going to roll with that - rumours had Le Arse offering 3 years + £200k+ a week. That deal must be off the table. My money is us giving him having something like £150k for 2 years + 1 year if he hits certain targets. That works out to about £15.5m for two years, which is probably cheaper than buying someone. As for the squad, I do actually understand the need for Willian/AM4. In my opinion, people need to forget about Mount and Harvetz being AM's, those boys are going to be No.8/No.10, Mount may even end up No.6 if he can become more disciplined and improve his tackling. For me, the squad will be; CM: Mount, Harvetz, RLC, Kova, Kante, Gilmour/Jorgi* * Jorgi sold or Gilmour loaned AM: Puli, Willian, CHO, Ziyech CF: Werner, Giroud, Tammy For me, Barkley is a gonna and I cannot see Jorgi/Gilmour both being in the squad. Biggest worry is Kante, if his fitness doesn't return we could be easy prey without the ball in the middle. A real decision will need to be made on selling him. Partey still has a €45m buyout. As for Willian, he is a very good bench option. I am not a massive fan of his owing to output but if you think of him as a bench player to be used to take sting out of games as he can come on and ball retain/help out the RB, he actually makes quite a bit of sense.

At GK, I think we should just go to Le Arse and buy one of their GK's. Leno has been a top 3 GK in the league for both his seasons here and Martinez is a complete throw back. Honestly, I have not seen a GK hold on to a ball as well as him for a long time. I must've seen him make about 3/4 stops already where someone has pinged the ball at him and he has stopped it dead with one hand.

Me too.

No. Really this Summer should've been the end of them but Corona has probably put a stop to that. Tbf, Baba for me is on Drinky level of write off, he has no knee left.

SFL first season at Chelsea (aged 23) 53 games, 7 goals, 2 assists Mount first season at Chelsea (aged 20/21) 51 games, 8 goals, 6 assists

Apprantly Rudi was seen leaving Hradecky's house.
-
I think he is a good shout, even if we buy another GK and he comes in as GK2 as I do not really want to rely on Willy if there is a long term injury. However, whilst I have touted him on here I remembered earlier today that he doesn't like playing for big clubs due to the amount of time he has to spend away from his family owing to cup competitions. I cannot remember the paper or what the article was titled but he essentially said that he liked playing for Watford/WBA as he wasn't worried about earning big club wages and that playing for Man Utd meant he didn't see his kids enough.

With the way things are shaping up, wouldn't be surprised to see a sale with a buy back option for Tomori.
-
That sounds like he will be here for the FA Cup game. Not expecting him for the CL as that goes into August and he has a contract with Roma so surely they'll want him rested/ready to train with them. I suspect this will also be the case with Willian unless he re-signs.
-
Really want to win this one. Be great to get CL and a FA Cup. That is way beyond what anyone could've expected in August.
