Moses? Weird.

Strange, since 14/15 season for me is easily the 2nd worst Adidas home kit, its just not worse than the 09/10 robocop kit.
-
13/14 season, and I actually like the current one. 13/14 is my favorite, but I would buy the current one, since its a winner kit. Already a classic in my books.

Conte has been awful today.
-
What the fuck is Conte waiting to make some changes? Jesus.
-
Im a big fan of what Conte is doing this season, but I'm always get pissed when he wait way too long before making changes. Pullis already made 3 subs, and Conte is waiting, waiting, waiting...and we are the team that need the result.

Comparing number of points between different seasons doesn't make any sense, and I hope you realize that. By your logic, Manchester United from 12/13 season is a better side than United from 07/08 season (when they won both Premier League and UCL, and were easily the best team in the world), since in 12/13 they won PL with 89 points, and 07/08 with 87 points, and guess what, Mourinho team from 14/15 season is also as good as 07/08 United, since in both situations the teams won the league with 87 points, and by your logic 14/15 Chelsea was a better team than Chelsea was in 07/08, because in that season Chelsea ended the season with 85 points, and its obvious 14/15 Mourinho team wasn't even close of being as good as Liverpool was back in 07/08, let alone being better or as good as Chelsea or United were in 2008. "The fact that we won a few games 7-2, 7-1, 7-0, 8-0 and broke goalscoring record made it look like a good attacking team." Okay, made it look like a good attacking team, but probably wasn't...Right. Those games against Liverpool weren't just "huge disappointments". They were actually hints of Mourinho football DNA, and in hindsight thats pretty obvious. Those semi finals were lost because of Mourinho vision of football: his main goal is not to lose the game. Sometimes he is so afraid of losing that he makes winning more difficult than it was supposed to be. "Take last season away and everyone will expect this team to win". No and no! A big fat NO! Nobody would expect us to in the league, not even Conte was expecting that I'm pretty sure. Ok, finishing mid table last season was crazy, but this squad wasn't not even close of being good enough to be a team that people would "expect" to win. Actually, if Conte had stayed with some old tactics and using some old player, right now this team would between 4th and 6th place in the middle of the current Liverpool, United and Arsenal zone. Jesus, at the start of the season Terry and Ivanovic were considered untouchable players in this squad, and even Oscar was a key player. Pedro was a flop, Moses useless, David Luiz a joke, and Alonso the worst signing of the summer. Conte's fingerprints in the success of this season is pretty pretty pretty obvious.

I don't think so. Mourinho best work was with Inter Milan. Easily. When Mourinho took over, Chelsea was already a semi final UCL side and PL 2nd placed side. That team wasn't "a different class". A strong team, definitely, but not "a different class". 09/10 Ancelotti's team was in my books a better side than any of Mourinho's teams from 2004 to 2007. The best he could to with that 04/07 team in Europe was the same semi final Ranieri achieved months before he arrived claiming he was the Special One, and in both semi-finals he was defeated by a much more weaker side in Liverpool. In 390 minutes of football against Liverpool, that "different class" Chelsea scored only one goal. Months after he left the team finally achieved a UCL Final and finally defeating Liverpool with perhaps one of the most brilliant pieces of football I've seen from Chelsea in the first 15 minutes of the Extra Time. The team went for the victory. Even after the goals scored by Lampard the team kept pressuring Liverpool until scoring another one with Drogba. That was the kind of performance that the team would never achieve with Mourinho in such stage of such decisive game. Mourinho would ask the team to not lose the game... Mourinho was good in 04/07, but not as good as english press made him look. When he took over, Chelsea was supposed to win the league, just like people expected Guardiola to win the league this season. When Conte was appointed months ago, this team prospect was to struggle to even get a top 4 finish.

Indeed. People forget that Chelsea was 2nd placed in 03/04 season. With the amount of money invested before the start of 04/05 season, I never understood the fuzz about Mourinho. What Conte did is something really special.
-
We only need to beat Boro, Wolves and Sunderland at home to secure the League. There are no excuses here.
-
Indeed. Im done with ultra pessimists like Jason. I really get angry when I read his posts specially in recent weeks. Football is something for people who got the balls.
-
Its really weird that some people really think its a not a good idea to get Lukaku back. He has been the best striker in PL for that past 2 seasons.
-
Not sure. Expect at least 2 penalties for them and one red card Juventus tomorrow.
-
Specially when we all know whats going to happen: Atletico will be the better side for most part of the game, but will end up losing again...
-
You are easily the most pessimistic person in this forum. I remember in early January when the team had X wins in a row, and you were more concerned about Liverpool being only 4 points behind.
-
Football is always unpredictable, but unless the team collapses in the last games, I don't see us losing it. When you take a look at Spurs fixture and at our fixture, and realize there is a 4 point gap between those teams, there is no reason to believe we won't win the league, but no doubt will have some nervy games in next weeks.
-
I dont care about this game. Doesn't matter if we beat them 4-0 then get a bad result against Southampton.
-
Anelka was 3 times better than Costa in every aspect of the game. Costa is only better in picking fights and complaining.
-
Not saying everything is safe, I'm saying we are still HUGE favorites to win the league.
-
Whats your point?
-
Willian is more suited to that role than Pedro, I think its not difficult to see that Willian got more defensive skills than Pedro, Zouma coulve have started with Azpi playing in the "Moses role", also, 3-6-1 is not mandatory. If you dont have the right players, try something else. If Conte think its better keep his formation intact despite not having the right player available, than trying something else, then its not a good thing, and thats not something that a "tactical genius" does.
-
Don't care about losing to United. They are not as shit as many of you think. The gap still is 4 points. Thats HUGE when there are only 6 games left. Spurs last 6 games are harder than ours, and its really hard to see them winning them all. No reason to panic.
-
No excuses for losing 2-1 against Palace at home (in tha game Conte made some very bad calls, like starting Pedro in the "Moses role", or for not winnning our remaining games +beating West Bromwich. If Spurs win this league, Conte must be sacked no matter what.
-
I will be happy with the PL this season, but I think people are praising Conte way too early. I mean, if we manage to lose this trophy, I will have big questions about Conte. If we take a look at the our 7 remaining we play 4 games at home against mid to botton table teams, and one game against West Bromwinch. 5 wins are mandatory when you have a on form team catching you, like Spurs, and when your manager is considered a tactical genius. 5 wins will do it, even if Spurs win all their remaining games. That means: if we dont win the League, it will be lost in games against teams like Crystal Palace, Southampont, Sunderland and Boro.

Sometimes you can say many things with no words.
