I don't think so. Football is really dynamic. Unless you are getting someone like Ronaldo in his 24, there is no guarantee a player that is 24 years will be a better investment in the long term than a player who is 28. Belloti is 23 and Morata is 24. We are not talking about 17 or 18 years old kids. Ok, 5 years from now Belotti will be 28 and Morata 29, but will a 29 years old Morata be the best striker in the world, or a mediocre one? What about a 28 years old Belotti? Both players came from recent good seasons, but only throwing around the age argument is not a good thing to do in my books. We are not talking about players that are taking big leagues by storm. Actually, I think Aubumeayang is the only striker that is even close of being worth huge money. He is top scorer for BVB, BVB is a big and rich club, he is playing in Bundesliga for 4 years, and he is improving his goal score record season after season. No offense, but only in TalkChelsea people think Belotti is worth the same price as Aubumeyang.

Wenger, is that you?

Guys, this forum is crazy. Alex Sandro is not even close of being worth 60m or 70m. He is no Cafu, Roberto Carlos or Marcelo. Thats crazy and madness. Its so crazy, that I can't stand the fact some people really believe we offered 70m for him and Juve really refused to sell. Really? I mean, they just sold Bonucci to rivals Milan for 35...and won't let Alex Sandro for 70??? Guys, you just lost your minds if you believe in those reports. Of course Telegraph, Guardian, Mail and all those papers around they must keep the rumors alive, since in the "transfer market", creating transfers rumors is the only way to make fans interested in reading football news when there is no football left to play.
-
I hope he will join Milan. He is not worth the price tag, he is not the kind of player needed in the 3-6-1 system, he is not the kind of player to terrorize the opponents defense in a UCL knockout stage class. You just don't replace Diego Costa with Morata.
-
Just saw this on twitter: "Morata 40 league goals in his entire life Aubameyang 40 goals in a season Chelsea “fans”: announce Morata." LMAO
-
Market went full crazy.
-
That goal might be no more than a tap in, or a GK howler. Again, just throwing numbers doesn't mean anything. I'm not saying he is not good, he definitely is, but those stats people are posting make him look like as important as Ronaldo for Madri last season, or even as deadly as Messi. Thats my point.
-
To be honest, those stats doesn't make any sense. How did he won RM 13 points? Those stats are only based in goals, I'm sure if Benteke was there in RM he would have scored the same amount of goals and "get" at least 13 points. Those stats about points won by a specific player are always misleading. Actually its never a good thing when people star to throw those numbers to prove a player is really good.
-
Jesus, I can't believe people keep throwing those numbers. Minutes per goal in this case is really misleading. I mean, Morata was a sub, and he usually played against weak sides. I'm sure Batshuay got some huge minutes per goal rate, specially when the stats are just arbitrary as this one (minimum 13 goal scored). So, Batshuay must be king of minutes per goal rate* (*minimum 5 goals scored). Morata is just not worth this kind of silly money Real is asking. This is the kind of player you get for 30m, or 40m in an inflated market, as it seems right now, but 70m for a player that was on the bench for most part of the season, and scored only 15 league goals in previous 2 Seria A seasons is something that doesn't make any kind of sense.
-
Lets be honest, paying 60m for Morata is as stupid as you like. I mean, he is a good player? Definitely, but not worth the amount of money Real Madrid is asking. The reason is very simple: Morata is just a squad player for Real, and it seems in the future Zidane is thinking more about giving Asensio more playing time than giving Morata more chances. You might point he scored 15 goals playing most of the season as backup to Benzema, but he is playing for Real after all and most of those goals were scored against weak sides. If you look at at his goal record for Juventus thats far from what you would expect from a 60m striker. He scored 7 goals in one Seria A season, and other 8 in another one, and thats it.

To be honest I don't know what you think about the whole situation. Conte did a great job last season, but for me if those news are true, he is acting like a petulant child. I mean, the team already had a proper goalscorer. I know most people were unhappy with Costa in the last part of the season, but I'm pretty sure most Premier League fans around will agree he is better than Lukaku or at least both are at the same level. Then Conte say to this striker that he is not wanted anymore BEFORE the team had replacement. So, the team was in a weird situation where a top class striker was needed so bad. Now he Conte is sooooo angry because the team missed the top target. Its something like that: "hey, I don't want this striker anymore, I already told him that he is useless now, so you have to buy me Lukaku or I will get pissed".
-
That won't help Conte, since it was even more stupid to kick the ass of your main striker when you are not even after another top replacement.
-
Wow, thats a HUGE blow for Conte. No doubt that laves him in a very very very very bad situation in the club.
-
To be honest I don't watch Serie A, so I don't know Rudiger, since I don't have a clue of what is going on in Roma. I will wait untill I see him in action as a Chelsea player.
-
I think its pretty funny that everybody only believe those transfers news when they come from BBC and Sky Sports, but usually Daily Mail come up with the news one week earlier. Days ago DM was reporting was reporting we were close of getting Bakayoko and were trying to sign Alex Sandro. Now BBC and Sky Sports are reporting the same shit as "BREAKING NEWS". Don't forget Mail was the first to report Luiz was coming back when everyone thought they were creating a stupid story,
-
lol Matic is just an afroless Fellaini. Can't wait to see Matic-Fellaini-Pogba conquer Europe in few months.

What you said doesn't make much sense for one simple reason: I pointed Real and Barcelona not to say their model is the "key to success", but to point that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS KEY TO SUCCESS. Since the 1st day I joined this forum I've been reading the same thing over and over. Its a very simplistic way to look at football. Back in the day the word used was stability. It was something like this: *Key to success is stability. *In order to achieve stability you can't fire managers, even if the results are bad. When you let manager work and let him build the squad he wants to he eventually will get the right results, even if it takes 3 or 4 years. Well, SAF did that with United, didn't him? When I joined Ancelotti was the manager. After the double everyone here wanted him to create a "dynasty"....and even during AVB tenure many people were backing him using the "stability" argument. Well, nowadays people are more open minded to sacking managers, but now they created another "key to success": managers must get full control of transfer market, and when things are not working, people will come up with this excuse: Its the board fault, because they didn't get the players the manager wanted. Just look back when Conte's team was getting smashed by Liverpool and Arsenal, people were saying things like: "its board fault because they didn't get Koulibaly and Naingolan, instead we got Luiz and Alonso"....well, Luiz was one of the best players in the league, and Alonso one of the top signings of the season. I'm sure the board listens to managers, but they won't buy players that won't fit the club's policy. For example, I'm sure Conte is willing to pay 50m or even more for Bonucci, but its pretty clear Bonucci is not the kind of player the club buy for that price. To other side when Conte send Costa a sms saying he is not wanted anymore, he is putting the club in a weak position in transfer market. I don't even know how people here can see that as an ultra cool move from Conte, as we were in some Netflix series: "oh, Conte is badass", "Conte savaged there", "uuu, Costa deserved". That was actually a dumb move, specially when Costa is basically our only CF (the other one was Conte's 3rd option to play during all the season), and our main target has a 100m asking price. For me the Costa incident is just another good reason why he can't have more control in transfer market and should world with the players that are available. Its the managers job to make the squad work, thats why they receive huge paychecks, not to play some kind of FIFA or PES career mode in real life. Conte even managed to turn Moses into a useful player. He should concentrate more on that instead of asking for more control. This is a club that sacked a manager that was considered a living god by most of fans, I hope Conte is not stupid enough to try to start a losing war.
-
Lets say those kits are "uninspiring".
-
This forum is full of nonsense This bullshit over and over again. We are in 2017...since 2004 (thats 13 years) this club adopted this formula: managers usually don't have the final word in transfer business, and since then this club got as much Premier League and European trophies as Manchester United. Real Madrid managed to build a squad good enough to win 3 UCL in 4 years with the same model, and its the same in Barcelona: "the board" is the one making the decisions about who is coming and who is going, instead of the managers. So, after 13 years using a a model, the club will change a winning formula to appease Conte? No way! Eventually he will leave the club, another manager will come, and as soon as this new manager win a big trophy, people won't mind about the past. Mourinho is the perfect case. When he was sacked people were mad. Months later Conte was the new hero in the town, but guess what, he is only the current manager because Mourinho was sacked. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/16/chelsea-will-not-rip-winning-formula-appease-manager-antonio/ This is a very good article. If Conte is trying to get full control of transfers, he is starting a losing battle.
-
Many people saying Conte is ultra badass for sending Costa THAT msg. Actually I'm pretty sure the board is far from happy with the whole situation, and while Conte might not give a damn (managers usually leave a club with a HUGE paycheck, and he has jobs available in big Italian clubs), the last thing we need is this kind of weird situation, specially when it seems it came out after Conte could not control his emotions after Costa replied him in a bad manner.
-
This forum is really weird in terms of praising and criticizing some players. Moses was good for most part of the season, actually he was even essential, since he was the best player in the squad that could play the "wing back" role. Ok, but he has always been pretty limited, he offers almost nothing in terms of going forward, but he is usually pretty solid in defense, and he hardly make stupid defensive mistakes, but despite he being limited, there were a lot of crazy comments saying he as "world class" when the team started to win games after games. Now after a silly mistake in a FA Cup Final everybody are saying we need someone to replace him. Really? So if the result was different with Moses scoring the winner people would believe Moses was really good enough to start games next season? Moses is by a country mile the most limited player of the current starting XI and easily one of the most limited of the entire squad (if no the THE most limited). What he did this season was enough to give him a deserved +2 years contract and he will be a useful player next season, but as a squad player and this has nothing to do with his red card in the FA Cup Final.
-
Moses is not a RWB. Before that Arsenal game in the beginning of the season, Moses was just a "winger". There are few teams around playing in 3-6-1 or 3-4-3 system, so wing backs don't even exist. Usually wingers or fullbacks are the ones more suited to play the "wing back" position, and if a ultra limited player like Moses can be decent in that position, no doubt that means there are a lot player around that can play as wing backs.
-
He is the typical united player: french and overpriced. lol
-
You picked Moses because he fits the 3 CB system. JT is not suited for that system as we saw during this season. Perhaps 10 years Terry would be perfect for this system, but we dont know, but I would choose him alongside Carvalho for a 2 CB system.
