because Chelsea must become self-suficiente, under UEFA new regulations that will start in 2012 season, clubs with debts wont be allowed to play in Europe. in past 3 years Chelsea bought few players but had debts every year...I cant see we wasting more than 40 millions in new players, let alone 40 millions in one single player.

We need a new defensive midfielder...every season Essien lose 2, 3 or 4 months because of some injury. We wont win CL with Mikel in the starting XI.
