  1. lol Thats what I call a downgrade. Im talking about MU, of course.
  2. Unless Mata accept he is not good enough to be the star man of a top european club challenging for big trophies, his Chelsea career is dead in the water. When Mata leaves, KDB will be a batter squad player than he is right now.
  3. My "next game" section is showing "Game has started", its the Derby game. Anyone is having the same issue? Thats is one of the most useful tools of the forum.
  4. I dont think so, Mourinho told us that United can still win the league, so that must be true. I Mourinho we trust. Did he say the same about Honduras prospects for WC?
  5. I realized that this Bony guys is really good, and I think it all comes to how bad is Chelsea approach on the market. Swansea got him for 10 or 12m last summer. Even for (then) raw players like Lukaku, Chelsea is paying 18m. I mean, Lukaku will be great (or already is), but you just paid 18m for a player that had to spend 3 seasons playing for other clubs until he is considered a finished product. For me this king of gamble is not worth the price. Lukaku right now is scoring goals and playing great, but he could easily be an average kind of striker too, who knows? When he was signed, the kid was, lets say, far from a good striker. Chelsea should be investing in players like Suarez or Bony, they were a bargain in terms of instant success, but this is a club that just paid 50m for Torres, so perhaps what Im asking is a little bit too much.
  6. Sorry, but it just doesn't happen that way at all. Jose doesn't have the press in his control, nor the press is the puppets. The press need Mourinhos, and he needs the press. He knows how to deal with it. About the brazilian thing, what the fuck are you talking about? Football played in Brazil is boring and shit, its a pain to watch 95% of the games played here, and the best brazilian players are in Europe. The reason why I became a Chelsea fan its because I love english football, and the game that got my attention was a match between Boro and Chalrton years ago, full of intensity for 90 minutes. But, you dont need a guy saying it every time he has the opportunity. We already know that Jose love english football, he already said that 1.0000000 times, we all know in England the diving aspect of the game have a different approach, and he sound cynical when he talk about how many foreigners you have in PL, when, besides Philips, Sidwell and Parker, Jose usually dont buy english players. Even tough I love my mom, I will get really bored if hear my sister all the time saying our mom is great, and how bad she loves her. Thats exactly what Mourinho is doing right now, but Im leaving this discussion here, it seems a lot of people really are more interested in other aspects of Jose Mouinho than his tactics and choices...
  7. One thing that Mourinho is doing in his return, and I find it really annoying is his "English football is better" thing. Every week he is praising one aspect of english football. After Liverpool's game he spent some seconds to say how good is PL, other day he was talking about "english blood", and about how bad are the foreigners divers (his words), then again days ago he was saying FIFA should solve the diving problem in other countries because there is few diving in PL, now he is talking about the lack of english managers in PL, because he thinks its a sad thing, and british managers are as good as the foreigners (even tough we all know that are few good managers out there born in UK). For me it just an attempt to sound "popular", and the man is still under the effects of his failure in Spain, where the press has no respect for him. To be honest this is the worst aspect of Mourinho: his relationship with british press. The media always made him look like a messianic character. Spanish press made him look more like a villain from a comedy movie than anything. Mourinho loves the press (because he feels loved), and he knows how to deal with it. Just look at his "special quote" I dont think there was something really...special about that, the was just saying he felt he was a special manager ("a" not "the"), since he was a european champion, but then he became "The Special One", and his quotes looked like words spelled by a divinity or got the same status as Churchill or Martin Luther King quotes. Im more interested about his aspects as a manager. His SpecialOneLovesEnglishFootball character is annoying and predictable.
  8. The problem with your post is: Mourinho is giving Mata the chances, he started almost as many as Oscar, but he has been avarage at best. So if you still prefer Mata over Oscar at this point, you really look like a fan-boy. As you said, this is a football forum, so dont get angry to find this kind of terms here. Being a fanboy is not that bad at all.
  9. LOL Chelsea will be busy fighting for PL trophy and UCL. Lets give it to United.
  10. The curious case of Juan Mata: Mata was a good player at Valencia, but he was far from a huge prospect when he signed for Chelsea back in 2012. He was the major signing in an aging squad that had AVB as the head coach and with few "flair players" left, Robben, Duff, Cole, Philips, Zhirkov were all gone, and Malouda was in decline. It was easy to understand why many Chelsea's fans felt in love with the little man. He justified his player of the season awards with his stats: 55 assists and 32 goals. Despite his talents, goals and assists, Chelsea never looked really strong when he was the "maestro" of the team. I have to admit the winning game against Liverpool, and the 2nd half against Southampton were the best PL game the team had since 2011. The midfield looked strong with AND without the ball. Mata is a player that needs a team that keeps the ball in their feet for 60 or 70% of the game, but he won't find that in PL. He should be happy to be a Chelsea player and fight for his place.
  11. The market is full of great players available, those ones to turn a mid table team into world beaters in matter of weeks.
  12. Everton stronger under Martinez than they were under Moyes. MU from Champions with SAF to fighting for a unlikely top 4 finish with Moyes. Moyes, the right answer to replace SAF...
  13. lol 7th. "Only" 11 points behind the leaders, more than half of the season already played. Still fighting for the trophy, right? Gimme a break. People just dont realize how good SAF was. MU will be luck enough to end the season in the top 4.
  14. That was happening since the first half. Everybody knew at the end of the first half that it was a time for Oscar+Willian replacing both Mata and Schurle.
  15. That was a penalty plus a red. Bad refereeing decision.
  16. Mata just became a frustrated player. When Luiz came in the last minutes of the Arsenal game, you really could see the man wanted to help the team and play his game, Mata for instance just look disillusioned when he is playing. That said, I can understand his rage. Why Mourinho didn't make the changes in the HT, why he just had to wait 6 minutes into the 2nd Half to do what he had to do? It seems he just wanted to embarrass Mata.
  17. I want to believe that was a penalty. I dont want to believe Oscar is so stupid to dive instead of scoring a certain goal. Penalty+red card.
  18. Schurlle is new Kalou. Will score some goals, even in important matches (like the one against City) but for must part of his games is an avarage and furstrating player.
  19. Predicitable. Awful line-up. Worst match for Mata start would be a ranny away game against a defensive side. Schurle is not a starting XI material, specially for away games. Time for Oscar and Willian.
  20. Cant believe after that amazing match the press was talking about referee controversy. I realized that british press is usually more interested in this kind of silly controversy than in the game itself.
  21. What about your Liverpool 3-0 prediction?
  22. GREAT!!! 2-1 but it was total domination. Cech: solid. Azi: BEAST. Mourinho should realize he is better than Ivan in every aspect of his game. Best performance with Chelsea shirt. Cahill: What can I say about the man. Everybody knows Im not a big fan, but he was just tremendous today. That interception in the 1st was just brilliant. Terry: as solid as ever. Cole: decent Luiz started with little confidence but improved. Really solid and good match. That pass to Azi in Etoo goal was just brilliant. Definitely a better option than Mikel in the pivot. I really dont know how we have fans that just want him gone for free. Lampard: boss of the mid. I was really worried when he left. Mikel: made one or two crucial mistakes, but an overall decent performance. Forget about MAZACAR. Willian-Oscar-Hazard is the real deal. Oscar: can't believe Mourinho turned this little and fragile man into a ball winner. He is perfect for high pressure. Brilliant match. Willian: another surprise under Mourinho. His defensive workrate are amazing for a attacking man. Great. Hazard: belgian demon. Fortget the "new Ronaldo" bullshit. This is HAZARD. Etoo: scored the match winner but almost fucked everything with that penalty that Webb did not see. Godfather: the man finally got his tactics right. Love how he gets involved into the game. The passion for the game is really there.
