Sinclair is the most frustrating footballer ever. CFC took the right decision to let him go. He'd never be good enough to start here.
-
Bertrand really moving up in the ranks. Well done!
-
It isn't early at all. If he's good enough, he's good enough. Regardless of age. I'm sure they don't need to register him anyway considering he's U21.
-
Maybe Torres won't reach astronomical levels again, we don't know. But that doesn't mean he's finished.

You do know Ayew was born in France? I love Ayew, one of my favourite players alongside Prince from Milan but he has no place in our squad due to him being an attacker for the left side, the right side isn't natural to him at all. Mata's stamina is also underrated. IIRC he was the most played player for us last season! To say Ayew has twice more stamina is quite funny. Regardless, back on topic now, Azpilicueta is probably the best signing we could make. We need a replacement for Bosingwa, who played over thirty games last season if I'm not incorrect, and Azpilicueta can fill in that void nicely. He's not here to displace Ivanovic. But what he is here to do is shore up our RB options. Kane isn't ready yet, Hutch is unreliable due to his chronic injury problems and Ferreira is going next season. Good signing, at the right age aswell.
-
Lol! It's naive to think someone has more stamina than someone just because they're African.
-
Then again, not many players are like Inzaghi. Torres' movement isn't exactly the best ever but he's still good. Again, I just want the season to start. If Torres fucks up, sell him. If he takes his last chance then he can do a good job for us upfront.
-
If Lukaku went on loan we'd only have 2 strikers. We're packed in CM IMO. The Meireles swap deal will allow us to get a different type of midfielder in to complement the squad more.
-
Torres has good movement, your judgement's just being clouded. For Spain in the Euros, Torres made so many good runs, if Spain were more penetrative they would've got a lot of good goals. And again, people seem to discredit what Torres has done in the last few months. He hardly looks like that player lacking in confidence. In the last couple of months Torres has scored quite a lot (10 goals for CFC and Spain since RDM took over if I'm not incorrect) and if anything is to go by, Torres will have a decent season. Torres still has a quality finish IMO. As Zolayes said, just wait for the season to start and if he does shit then fair enough. Atleast give him a chance to rectify himself. This is the guy's last chance, let him actually do something with it before shooting him down already.
-
Christ, the season hasn't even started yet and he's already "finished". As many have said this is Torres' last season to actually impress, if he doesn't then we move him on. The season hasn't even started so we can't judge whether he's finished or not, not just yet anyway.

I wish people would stop saying how bad it is that we let Borini and Sinclair go. Every club has let one or two youngsters go, who have flourished into great players. Look at United with Piqué and Guissepi Rossi for example. Players who've gone to be world class. Sturridge from City... It happens everywhere. Just because Borini and Sinclair made it doesn't mean we should give every youngster we have a chance. At the time people didn't even mind them going. What if Kakuta (a player many here want to dispose of) goes and develops into a great player? Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Ayew's more like a Mata cross Malouda than a real pure winger. Since my mum's Ghanaian I've followed him from an early age, he really isn't a pure winger IMO. He plays on the LHS as well so he's not really an alternative to Hulk.

I wasn't saying that Torres scoring a hatful of goals if he was at Napoli was a fact, of course that's hypothetical. I was saying it's a fact that Cavani performs at his best in a counter attacking team, hence the quoted post above.
-
Does that mean if Hazard, Mata, Ramires, JT, Cech or whoever play shit we must get a new player in their position too?
-
I would chop off my left bollock if we signed him. No. No. No.
-
SWP really wasn't as bad as many make him out to be. He was useful. Moses will be useful too.
-
A fact that many seem to overlook. If Torres was playing for Napoli he'd score a hatful of goals as well.
-
City have Dzeko, Balotelli, Tevez and Aguero yes, but they always have two of them playing at one time. This allows them to have that many strikers. We on the other hand only play one. We can't have 3 strikers sitting on the bench, that's ludicrous.
-
Marin is best out wide. He isn't as good as an attacking midfielder. Essentially he's our only winger, so the Moses signing would definitely add to the squad.
-
That's what Whelan said about Moses. The Guardian are just being amateurish.

Here's their game v Arsenal. http://www.motdgoals.com/2012/04/epl-full-match-arsenal-v-wigan-16-april-2012/

That's why they haven't won a trophy in 7 years. They aren't willing to take a risk and spend.
-
A goal line clearance isn't luck, just great defending by A. Cole who has done it on numerous occasions. Our 4-1 win at the Bridge wasn't luck!
-
We weren't really lucky against Benfica or Napoli IMO.

I'd say Hazard is quite similar to Aguero actually, but Aguero just has supreme finishing, that's what sets him apart and allows him to play that second striker role more effectively. Just because Mata and Oscar aren't positioned centrally doesn't mean they wouldn't be as creative. That doesn't explain why a team of: Tevez Nasri - Aguero - Silva Works perfectly fine. Silva starts on the right or left or wherever but he still has a telling contribution in almost every game. I'm trying to say that perhaps Mata and Oscar could work in a similar vain, perhaps almost like a false ten role.
