It's not just CFC that have done it though. Look at United against Madrid as a prime example. Madrid who aren't even that renowned for their passing game compared to Bayern and Barca.

Cahill - Luiz doesn't work. Cahill - Brana is quite frustrating as well. It's an obvious trend yet some still think Cahill is our best or second best CB when it's quite clear IMO that Luiz and Ivanovic are better. Not to take away from Gary though, he's a good defender but definitely not good enough to fill in JT's boots.

You're making too many assumptions. For all we know we could say that he is patient enough because he knows he that he's in a great position to become a starting left back at a great club like CFC rather than being happy to go to a mid table team which also screams no ambition. He should be playing regularly right now IMO. He's good enough to play 20-30 games at left back but our current manager doesn't seem to want to rest Ashley in games where we don't really need him.

Wouldn't mind Jose or Moyes... Not too sure about Manuel. He's not much of an improvement on Rafa IMO.

I think you're being a little unfair on Pirlo. Pirlo is great at finding spaces, its one of the main parts of his game. Imagine him right now in this team though? Would solve all of our DLP problems. He still is probably the best in his role atm, apart from someone like Xavi probably.

What are the attributes he lacks then? What can't he do? Is it because he isn't 6 ft+ and a speed demon? So you don't think the likes of David Silva, Aguero, Cech, Rooney etc. aren't world class? What are they then? What about the likes of Ozil, Modric, Thiago Silva? Thiago Silva hasn't exactly been on the grandest of stages but is still considered by many as the best CB in the world? I don't get your logic. Are those the only world class players in the planet for you? If Mata isn't world class then the only world class player in the PL is RVP. Yaya Toure's hasn't been on Mata's level this season so I don't know why he's in your list and Mata isn't. At the moment, Mata is truly the only world class player CFC have, apart from Cech, and at a push, Ashley Cole perhaps. He's almost carried us this season, and that's testament to how good he is. Mata's been as good as anyone this season.

Didn't watch the game but I've been saying it for months now, Torres's link up play is very weak. He's not a link up player naturally and never will be, especially in the mental state he's currently in.

Ozil isn't exactly a monster is he? What about J. Cole under Mourinho who was amazing? Mata would be fine under Mourinho. Mata was written off because Oscar and Hazard came, people thought he'd be the worse one off. But every time he's faced adversary or a big challenge he always comes through. He'll be fine!

I sort of agree with Leif regarding Josh. Leif is not even saying that Josh isn't talented, he certainly is. What I think Josh is missing is that drive to the next level. Josh needs to start realising his potential sooner rather than later if he ever wants to be a first team player at CFC. By that I mean he needs to start showing he's a class above the Middlesbrough players more consistently. Sturridge did this when he went on loan to Bolton, same with Jack Wilshere - I've yet to see the same with Josh. Yes he's young but ideally we want him to start showing that fire that shows everyone that he's too good for Boro. Chalobah is showing more during his loan spell than Josh is IMO.
