But even with this group of players we are capable of having good defensive games. Last 10 games for example: 5 clean sheets. Liverpool, Everton, Leicester, Watford, Norwich. 2 games where we only conceded after set pieces. City and Aston Villa. And three very bad defensive games: West Ham, Palace and SU. One leader and top CB would do wonders for us. This is much more essential than Kepa imo. In this 10 games worst Kepa moments were first West Ham goal after corner and Zaha goal. And for both goals we have at least two players more responsible. Yes, I would replace him with Oblak or Turkish guy but if we have to choose world class CB is much more important.

We are already there with Werner and Ziyech. Buying Havertz and fixing defense will have to make us competitive with Liverpool and City.

If we miss out on Havertz go for Sancho and play Ziyech as AM.

Yes, saw that. I was hoping Swansea will get play off to watch Gallagher but not happening. Nice to see Leeds back in the PL. Brentford can go over WBA... But than again if we are after Benrahma to replace Willian it is better for us if they dont get promotion.

Tbh Michy played just 224 minutes this season in PL. Utd at home only start. After that 18 minutes most in one game.

11 goals and 7 assists this season. Better stats than all our midfielders. Not even sure we can say he plays for weaker side? 2nd in Seria A and going to Lisbon.

Our only loss without Kante this season is SU the other day. Alonso started just one of our 11 losses this season (West Ham). Similar with Barkley. Big difference when he is starting. I am speaking only about PL. These three players have bigger differences in percentage of wins than Jorginho. Conclusion Alonso and Barkley are best Chelsea players and Kante worst?

This is too much money to spend on GK. Cech was 7m, Courtois 8m... Can we just find something like that. Turkish guy is my number one target.

I think wingers playing defense in overrated thing. I mean even the worst wingers in defending cannot cost you more than 2 or 3 goals per season? Willian is knows as best in this and even he cost us sometimes. Example:

Ole barely rotate even in Europa League. Would keep the same CBs for this one. Ok Emerson in, he was not that bad against Leicester. Offensively with 5 subs we can easily change all of them after 60 mins so this resting players debate is ott for me. Especially because Frank have no idea what his starting 11 looks like.

Mount played just 45 minutes in the last two games so he is 100% playing this one.

But someone mentioned that Conte 2 years ago started semi final vs Spurs with Hazard and Costa on the bench. Even Fabregas. Anyway, what would need to happen so you can say Frank let you down? It is not like we are like Liverpool or Leicester with clear starting 11 and big difference in quality of two possible teams. Clearly our best defensive line is Alonso, Zouma, Rudiger and Azpi. We played in this lineup just 3 games this season. And won all three with clean sheets. Giroud is our best striker but was 3rd choice for more than half of the season. In midfield Frank is also changing all the time and he does not have idea what is our best lineup. Maybe our best performances this season Everton 4:0 and Liverpool 2:0 came with Barkley and Gilmour starting in midfield. Kovacic and Pulisic have been our two best players this season and both have not been regular starters this season. CHO or Pedro for Willian on RW can easily be better options. No matter what competition we play Frank seems to change all the time so whoever starts on Sunday I do not think we can say Frank throw FA cup.

With one year left on contract 12-15m is absolutely most money we can get. And it is realistic price.
