Can't see your reasoning. We wanted close to 200m for Hazard summer before. When players have one year left on contract their price is usually 50% cheaper. Courtois left us for 30-35m after great World Cup. If he had more on contract he would cost around 70m surely. Sane was quoted 100m one year ago. You think players have the same price with 2,3,4 and 1 year left on contract? Dortmund wants 100-120m for him now. So next summer it will be 60-70m max by this logic no doubt.

CL spot is all that matters now and a couple of horrid displays will be forgotten very soon. And we had 5 wins in a row ( we won against 3 top teams at the table in this period) before losing to WH. It is just one match. We can easily go on winning run again. About CL place I am not worrying because I expect Leicester to lose a least half of possible 18 points left. Did you see their schedule? And form? So we can lose 1 game and have two draws and we would still finish above them. Wolves and UTD would overtake us but who cares. 5th place gets you CL.

10/11 2nd in the league with 71 points and QF in the CL. 17/18 5th with 70 points and won FA cup. Just one more loss and we will have 69 points max. But I agree with you in terms of expectations. He is 30yo in 6 months. Yes a lot of injuries but just one goal in around 1400 minutes this season. I remember people saying in the team like Real or Barca he would score like Messi/Ronaldo.

This is only PL? Because we conceded from all Lille, Ajax, Valencia in CL.. UTD in FA cup both goals. Even Hull and Grimsby (goalkeeper made assist)... So surely over 20 goals... At least 1/3 of all goals this season. UNACCEPTABLE!

All three goals we conceded at SB in three games this season against City and Liverpool have been from set pieces. And arguably all three fouls have been unnecessary. Chris and Azpi against Liverpool and Kante against City. So not only we defend corners and crosses badly we also make stupid fouls in dangerous area. And I just realized 3 of 4 goals we conceded against UTD have also been from set pieces. And Ndidi for Leicester... God, anyone have stats? How many goals in total we conceded from set pieces this season? Surely over 20... But I agree, we are very much capable even with this squad to keep clean sheet against best teams.

Roman is most important figure in our history but yeah Chelsea was great and cute before. I mean Vialli is our second most successful manager with 5 trophies from 1998 to 2000.
