They dropped over 200m euros for 2 flops in Eden and Jovic... They let James go for free with contract still on... I like Carlo but he was pretty much done at top level. Last 2 clubs Napoli and Everton.

But the thing is... Those are good numbers from both for LWB position. Much bigger problem is other side and Reece and this is why we are after Hakimi.

It's because Kepa played 7 games under Tuchel and had 5 clean sheets. In last 2 games he conceded 2 goals but he is not at fault for those. If our attackers delivered we would have won. Everything that happened under Lampard is forgotten and irrelevant. I berely missed Chelsea game in the last 20 years so ofc I know Turnbull but didn't used forums back then. I remember even Hilario delivered against Barca when Boulahrouz had Ronaldinho in pocket.

Usually Super Cup is after a couple of domestic games but this time before PL starts. It is the same for Villarreal. But we have 17 players on EURO and Silva on Copa. They have just 2 players on EURO and 1 on Copa. And Torres will 99% leave. So they will be much more prepared for that game. But quality is on our side and we really need to win that trophy. Hopefully players with full pre season like Mendy, Alonso, CHO, Pulisic, Ziyech deliver in that game. I think Chris, Kova, and 6 players from England and Germany could finish EURO already in June so that would be great for Chelsea. And if we are signing Haaland, Hakimi and others we better do it as soon as possible. Silva, Kante and Jorginho are most likely to play finals with NTs (Zouma, Emerson and Giroud also but they are leaving most likely) so with 3 weeks holiday after that they would not come before August.

Pretty sure others did more. Rudiger and Zouma as CB pairing last season kept clean sheet everytime except one game (Lille - we still won that game). This continued this season with Frank. But he played them so rarely.
