  1. This is totally on the hypothetical Sarri or the next manager even uses James.
  2. He was one penalty away from winning his first trophy and looks to be on course making another final in the same season. Conte also had a horrid record in cup competitions and that changed. So long you have winners in the squad, it shouldn't be an issue.
  3. He doesn't help himself. Which is why at this point I am on the fence with him. I see how he wants us to play and I can see that with an injection in quality, we'd be way better. But his treatment of RLC, CHO, and Emerson leaves me banging my head against the wall. He complains about poor player performances when we have three superior players constantly on the bench.
  4. Which opposition? He's played 3 games in the league. One of them was getting mugged off by Jimenez. Bloke is a flower against physical strikers. I'd be more comfortable had he come back during the summer bulked up. Look at Stones.
  5. Doesn't explain why he was benched for Alonso against Everton. Alonso has been solely responsible for goals against Arsenal, United, City, Spurs and Everton. The sheer fact this twat can waltz his way back into the starting XI is absurd. The spurs and City performance should have been enough for Emerson to cement his place. Guess a decent cross against fucking Dynamo Kiev has Sarri thinking Alonso is Maldini again.
  6. It's Spurs or United we need to hope fuck up. Arsenal have a piss easy rest of the season compared to us three.
  7. I feel like the only reason Arsenal are ahead of us is having two midfielders with end product in Ramsey and Ozil. Barkley and Kovacic wish they could of done what Ramsey just did there.
  8. True. But I think our attitude is different. Think our players enjoy cup games. Especially in the latter stages. 3 finals in 4 years, and could be 4 in 4. I am convinced if Emerson played against United instead of Alonso, we would of won. What I tend to notice it is usually one individual mistake that has us capitulate. Only way I see us losing the Europa.
  9. Top 4 is gone. I was convinced since the Arsenal defeat. We could have taken advantage of United and Spurs balancing the Champions league, but it's evident we don't have the quality to do so over a season. Call me crazy but I'm optimistic about our chances in the Europa league. Our players tend to raise their game when things are at stake.
  10. Christensen has failed to impress when given the chance in the league. He was god awful against Wolves. He's so fucking soft it irritates me
  11. From what I've seen he looks absolutely brilliant. Bayern is also interested. Landing him would be a dream
  12. Rumored to join United. Devastating. Will be the best right back in the league eventually.
  13. He's played holding midfield for Real a few times. And from what I've seen he is much suited there. More mobile and technical than Jorginho. I'd really like to see both of them battle it out for that spot.
  14. CHO and Pepe our starting wingers next season and it won't be too bad.
  15. Ok. Then we are a 7th place team without Hazard.
  16. Simply playing RLC, Emerson, and CHO more or better yet making them starters, would change the atmosphere completely. It's like when Argentina in 2006 benched Messi, a young exciting player, for Pablo Sorin.
  17. Barkley reached his quota for good performances in a season so he will likely be back to his mediocre self. Scenes at the stadium if Alonso is in the starting XI.
  18. You are failing to see the irony. Many fans were skeptical of Sarri when he arrived because he wasn't known for rotating his teams. If we played our same starting XI during those 8 games, the moment we drop points I can say for 110% certainty, people would whine about him needing to rotate more. As if you lot would all of a sudden change your tune. Truth of the matter is, if we can't afford to fucking rotate against bottom sides, this problem lies deeper than the manager.
  19. Wolves would eclipse us and we'd be fighting Leicester for 8th at best.
  20. Not for me. If anything, we over achieved in the beginning of the season. Those results papered over the cracks of how easily we can get exposed, which teams are now figuring out. We are a 5th/6th place side with Hazard. Without him, we are genuinely 8th -11th.
  21. I would too. RLC for Barkley as well. What I wouldn't do is put in Ampadu for Jorginho. James for Azpilicueta. DaSilva for Alonso. Mount for Kovacic. Abraham for Higuain. All this was mentioned from other members which is just asinine. Let's replace our XI with championship players and all of a sudden start pretending we will give that manager time.
  22. Sarri or no Sarri. What we saw that first half is life after Hazard and with a transfer ban. Pretty fucking grim. Sure adding RLC and CHO will add a bit more bite in the third, but with the same dire fullbacks, no true leader in the team, no end product from the midfield and no urgency from our forwards, we are a poor side. Poch isn't going anywhere. He's tied down until 2023 and no way will Levy lets him leave to us. Those that are screaming for a manager to come in and play the youth, need to understand the time and patience that comes with it. And the fact we knew Sarri coming in, he would need time and the club would need time to transition, and we already have fans calling for his head 7 months in? So you aren't willing to give a manager time to change the philosophy of the club, but are willing to give a manger time to play youth? A more time consuming risk than the former?
