  1. Salah can't amount to the pressure of a title race me thinks
  2. I remember the first real criticism of Emenalo happened coincidentally the season after Gourlay left. That summer, we failed to strengthen after a title win whilst in the meantime brought in utter gash in Rahman, Kenedy, Hector, Miazga, Djilobodji, Pato + Falco on loan, etc. Just bizarre signings that in no way improved us. Major outcry given we finished 10th.
  3. I remember reading somewhere that Lukaku, Courtois, and KDB were scouted by Piet De Visser before he left the club. Not Emenalo. Hazard was the hottest prospect on the planet at the time and only chose us because we were European Champions. (maybe Joe Cole's influence as well) Gourlay was heavily responsible in bringing Mata, Cesc, and Costa to the side. It's no surprise as soon as he left, our board room started to capitulate. The only signing I would give credit to Emenalo was Azpilicueta. Bargain.
  4. For all we know, appointing a DOF could solve almost all of our concerning issues. IIt's a fair argument saying Radcliffe may come here and not even want to spend.
  5. Anything that will keep Jorginho on his toes
  6. In an ideal world, him doing well and taking over Dave would be great. However, I am still adamant in saying that there will always be pressure put on the manager to play players that were invested on. I fully expect us to tap into the market or keep Zappacosta vs promoting James and giving him game time. Even with good performances.
  7. Looks like a Kovacic replacement or Jorginho rotation option
  8. West Ham Giroud Hazard-----------CHO RLC---Kante Jorginho Emerson---Luiz----Christensen----Dave Kepa Slavia Higuain Willian-------------Pedro Barkley----Kante Kovacic Alonso---Luiz---Rudiger--Zappa Kepa
  9. I'd say he is rewarding Alonso, Barkley, Kovacic, and Pedro/Willian far more leniently than Emerson, CHO, and RLC. The former just need to put in a 7/10 performance against farmers to earn their starting XI back whereas the latter have to find Sarri the infinity stones.
  10. Odoi's directness may had something to do with it.
  11. Can someone check this for me? When was the last time Chelsea Football Club fielded 3 academy graduates in the league?
  12. Doesn't surprise me. It's no wonder we've done so poorly in Europe and fell off the league these past several seasons. Think I also read somewhere that since Willian's been here, he's averaged 5 league goals a season. We accept mediocrity.
  13. Absolutely mad that an 18 year old has better decision making than two 31 year old veterans. One of which a world cup winner.
  14. West Ham at the weekend will be a far better game to evaluate this team. Only issue is that we won't be able to because Barkley, Willian/Pedro, and Alonso will play.
  15. Gonna miss the Emerson, RLC, and Hazard linkup when Alonso and Barkley waltz their way back in the starting XI Saturday.
  16. The fuck is Willian warming up for?
  17. I agree. I'm just saying it would of been hilarious to see his reputation go further down the drain.
  18. What about the cross? Beating a man then finding the open striker? Pedro would of passed it back to Jorginho and Willian would of been less direct not to mention his pass wouldn't of even beat the first defender
  19. Absolute scenes if Willian whiffed that just like CHO did there
  20. Azpilicueta just got mugged off there
  21. In what fucking world does Spurs have a larger TV right than we do for NBC? Fucking mental they are showing their game over ours.
