  1. I genuinely thought he improved on all aspects compared to the United match. Distribution much, much better.
  2. Only Willian can come on, with the freshest legs, and still be the worst player on the pitch. Playing on his 'strong' side. The cheek to take the #10 kit. He doesn't even deserve to look at the #10. We honestly need to start considering converting Barkley into a LAM, with Emerson overlapping.
  3. To have a player that has been with us since he was 6, to score his first goal on his debut at the bridge wearing the Chelsea kit. One of our own.
  4. City have a vision. What we are seeing isn't something that happened over night. They spend a shit ton, but there is a lot going right upstairs. That's the difference between us. They had a vision of what they wanted since 2012, and they've been building on that. Appointing Guardiola was the final piece of the puzzle. We still can't decided if we want progressive football or conservative football. Now all of a sudden we want youth integration. It genuinely begs the question of what actually goes on in our board room.
  5. The main problem I see is unfortunately not fixable. Lampard can definitely improve the structure in midfield and how we defend as a unit, but the biggest issue that even Sarri couldn't fix, is the lack of end product. Willian averages 5 league goals a season Giroud isn't prolific and his attributes don't make him a good fit for Lampard Tammy is unproven. Pulisic is unproven. Pedro is over the hill, and hardly a chance creator. CHO, as much as we hype him, is unproven. Mount and Barkley are probably the most creative. The former unproven and the latter notoriously inconsistent. The fact of the matter is, the real chances we do create, is from forcing the opposition to make a mistake. When our press slows down, the chances we do create dry up as there is little to no creativity in the team. The chances we do get, we fail to convert. So it breaks down to whether or not we kill the game early on, or allow the opposition back in it. Let's be real here, there's a reason we saw little to no comebacks last season.
  6. Well the sad thing is we can't really assume our board will even recruit effectively next summer. We could spend well over the odds on squad fillers again vs genuine improvement. I can't even safely trust them they will even recruit a proper striker. Just need to hope that Cech will make a difference.
  7. United win tomorrow I genuinely think the slightest likelihood of getting Top 4, would already be gone.
  8. 5th, after Barkley. Brasilians everywhere must be laughing at us.
  9. Again we saw another team give him all the time in the world on that right attacking side given how poor of a 'footballer' he is. I really hope James is the answer, because I am honestly fed up with watching how fucking appalling our right attacking side has been over the course of a decade.
  10. Is it a problem that can be fixed? We saw the same thing under Sarri. Start off brilliantly but collapse after the slightest amount of pressure. Also, you bring up creating chances, yet the only real chances we create is from the result of forcing the opposition to make a mistake when we press them. Other than that, there is no creativity in this team. When our attackers and midfield tire, the chances dry up and the other team takes control. We saw it against United, Liverpool, and now today. I think it's wishful thinking to expect we will create chances out of nothing. There's a reason we saw little to no comebacks last season. This is where I though bringing off Mount for Barkley would've paid off, as Barkley would've looked to create something. I'll give Tammy a few more games before we can safely say waiting for him to break his duck will hinder us even more.
  11. We defended much better today compared to against United. Christensen and Zouma did well when our midfield collapsed. Like United, we should of been out of sight before Leicester even got in the game.
  12. Zouma was tremendous. Night and day difference vs his performance against United. MOTM for me. Can you believe there are still people who defend/rate Willian? Never ceases to amaze me. Fit right in with the players that played 120 minutes on Wednesday, even playing on his 'strong side'. Fraud
  13. Can't wait until people accept the reality our team really isn't that good. Should of lost. Plain and simple.
  14. So much more energy than us in this last 20. Like I said, Super Cup was honestly a fucking distraction.
  15. Poor from Lampard to still not address the fact we've lost the midfield since the 20 minute mark.
  16. Blame the opposition for not capitalising
  17. For a bloke that’s averaged 5 league goals a season, that is an incredibly bold statement. Care to explain?
  18. Kovacic better defensively I’d say. Arsenal still look weak defensively.
  19. My point is that there probably is a rational explanation vs the improbable one you proposed
