  1. I don't think there is balance in that attack. All three like the ball at their feet and tonight showed Havertz needs space to have his free role of creator and focal point. Werner and CHO stayed wide and through the channels, Mount will undoubtedly come through the middle. I genuinely don't think one or the other can play together in attack, but its worth a punt.
  2. Skeptical about both Mount and Havertz being in an attacking lineup, but it deserves a go. He's missing chances but shit performance? Think many of you are forgetting how awful Morata was. As poor as Werner has been in the third, we aren't playing with 10 men with him on the pitch. Tuchel's system is incredibly dependent on ball retention, and Werner + Mount are arguably our best players not named Kante in regards to pressing.
  3. There's still a worry in my head Havertz + Mount can't work in an attacking lineup, much less the latter being an influential player in the final third. Tricky. Mount needs to play, but I want to see more of the Werner/CHO/Havertz front three.
  4. Werner, Havertz, and CHO was probably the most fluid front three we've seen so far under Tuchel. Ziyech and Pulisic have done nothing to warrant starting over Werner. I'm still against Mount involved in our attack. Tonight was another display why.
  5. He's pretty much become a key clog in our press right now, which has been the basis of how we've managed to control games under Tuchel. I don't think he's done much wrong other than his decision making in the third. He's also our only direct attacker given CHO, Ziyech, and Pulisic like the ball at their feet. And there again likes the basis of our biggest issue, the latter two not performing. What have Pulisic and ZIyech done to warrant themselves starting over Werner?
  6. This along with Spurs are arguably the games where Mount has to be #1st name on the team sheet. Mendy Azpilicueta---Christensen---Rudiger CHO-------------Jorginho-------Kovacic------------Chilwell Mount Havertz----Werner
  7. Incredibly debatable. And I thought out of all of our attacking combinations, Havertz, Werner and CHO looked the most fluid.
  8. Because he offers a lot more than just scoring now.
  9. I want him to start utilising Mount deeper. Would love to see at some point. Mendy Azpilicueta----Thiago Silva-----Christensen James-----------Mount-----Kovacic---------Chilwell CHO---------------Werner Havertz
  10. Havertz gets sandwiched, no foul. Allan trips himself moments later, ref gives the foul.
  11. Left side is dead with Alonso and Zouma
  12. Massive performance from Kai needed. 👊
  13. One thing that desperately needs reminding is how average all of our CB's are in a back 4 (bar Silva). Not going to let this change in system that protects our back line immensely, sway my perception again. Some could even be argued are mid table level. An Elite CB is still needed, preferably Konate. Sell Zouma. Keep those on loan still on loan.
  14. Against a high line. Won't see anything like that tonight.
  15. We also naively played into their hands.
  16. Mendy Thiago Silva----Christensen-----Rudiger CHO-------------Jorginho---------Kovacic--------------Chilwell Mount Giroud---Pulisic
  17. Hope its true. Will be between us and Arsenal then. I know who'd I fancy...
  18. Because every system can be exploitable, especially one that is as strict is this. Tuchel is not known for sticking with a certain formation. What he is doing, or at least I hope he is doing, is building the foundation from the back. Doing the temporary fix to get the team performing again. The great thing about this temporary fix, is that we are still playing progressive football with the possession game Tuchel wants. So we are still on the right path.
  19. The good news is that our chance creation is slowly getting better since Tuchel first arrived. Our team dynamic in attack is finally building an understanding. There are still issues however, as last night Kante missed a glorious through ball to Werner that would've had him one on one with Allison, and then Mount again in the 2nd half missing another through ball to Werner and instead played it wide. Hopefully this gets analyzed and sorted fully. Just pick your damn head up lads.
  20. @Jason Must of been a breath of fresh air for you seeing Jorginho finally playing lobbed passes to Werner.
  21. Right but I'm not going to pretend Andreas is all of a sudden ridden of his defensive liabilities. We saw the same thing under Conte with these defenders + David Luiz. It protects them immensely. We still need another elite CB to partner Silva once Tuchel starts playing a back 4 again. Zouma does look likely the one to be sent off.
