  1. Or Lampard can coach his players to actually play through channels instead of pinging it wide every time... Bruno Fernandes and Salah have played more through balls than our entire team.
  2. Hard to do that when the system only benefits one player. Giroud.
  3. Christ, is this going to be another RLC League cup final vs City moment again? Let's not hold on to hope for a few seconds worth of 'brilliance'. Unlike Ruben, I believe Havertz will come good at some point as he's proved in the past. Needs to be doing more but not at the expense of an inexperienced manager.
  4. We have an incredibly talented squad where an experienced manager could potentially steer the ship until the summer. Ultimately, I'm for the Benitez/Hiddink route for now. Tuchel, who I rate, I admit is a gamble and reports the club were already warned about him back in 2017. Lampard has proved he is well and truly out of his depth.
  5. But United haven't lost since the Arsenal game....which was over 2 months ago. Agreed, anything can happen but what evidence suggests we will finish above any one of our rivals when they are all on course to finish higher than us?
  6. Mate, I genuinely can't tell if you're taking the piss here? Liverpool, City, United, Leicester, and Spurs are on course to finish above 70 points. We are on course to finish well below that. We haven't beaten anyone currently above us, and we sit 9th. Add the fact we are getting progressively worse as each game passes with zero signs of progression, how do you genuinely expect us to finish Top 4? Which, you know, was the bare minimum for this season?
  7. Question for those stating Gilmour is better than Mount, what exactly is this based on? Gilmour's sample size is miniscule, and his best performances came as a Regista. Why are we comparing him to Mount, when the only time Gilmour has played in Mount's position, he looked utterly lost?
  8. Interesting. Simon Johnson stated that his sources informed him they were already looking at alternatives and that he wouldn't risk writing the article in the Athletic given his credibility is on the line should it be untrue.
  9. "Lampard faces a fight to convince Chelsea that he can lead the club towards future glory". I would give anything to be a fly on the wall to hear his convincing argument to our board. Liverpool, United, Spurs, Leicester and Man City are all on course to finish higher than 70 points. We are on course to finish well below that and there are virtually no signs of progression given the one dimensional play we continue to see day in and day out. Hopefully the board are smarter than this.
  10. There's always the risk of 'The step up" but one needs to look at the actual philosophy of his game. The space Southampton players create for themselves is incredible for a club of their stature. Someone always seems to be open and transition frequently happens through the middle of the pitch. Something that doesn't exist for us. They play with a quick tempo and there is a level of technical ability in their ball movement that didn't exist before Hasenhüttl. Don't think we'll get him, but I would be happy with his appointment.
  11. If he was the stand alone player, I’d jump on his case too. Fact is, everyone has been shit. Devoid of belief was it?
  12. Makes you wonder how the hell Lampard passed his coaching badges.
  13. Because I definitely said we should be pinging high crosses to Werner instead of playing him through the channels. Annoying little runt aren't you?
  14. They've never played this well until now.
  15. Kick started Arsenal's season and now kick started City's season. We will 100% finish below them now.
