It is when one moves like molasses and the other is rapid. Wonder which one will be easier to defend against when they are playing a counter attacking system...
I see a pattern of games won when Werner plays against a high line. He attracts defenders and always has them on their toes. That alone has proved incredibly vital for our other attackers to score.
....because he caused the most harm against City on both occasions? And Liverpool? And Real Madrid? And Atletico when they had to score?
You see a pattern here?
Just because he plays there doesn't mean he's effective. You just have to look at Mount's overall game and realise he shouldn't be spearheading our attack. He's a B2B midfielder and virtually the only reason he is playing is to provide additional support to the two CMs and how good he is in a press.
The only silverlighting in all of this is that we have been incredible under Tuchel when seen as the underdogs. Not to mention Pep will spend all week over thinking his set up considering how poor we are against a low block.
Any more arguments of player X should be playing ahead of Werner should be finally put to bed. Not one of our attack has performed at a consistent level to be a regular starter.
Havertz missing a sitter vs Arsenal. Mount invisible in the big games. Ziyech lackluster. Pulisic missing a sitter vs Villa. CHO and his horrid decision making.
This argument should now be dead in the water.
Because we struggle against shit houses. If Pep hasn't watched the Arsenal, Leicester, and this game and still thinks a high line will be effective, then he deserves all the criticism.
