  1. He was rated the 2nd best player (not just GK) born in 2004 and beyond Gavi (Barca) was number 1 here are top valuations for GKers 22yo and less Slonina is the top teen
  2. It was just GKers it was all players
  3. the main issues with Noni Madueke that I have are simple: 1. (hopefully doesn't matter) It is another Dutch farmer's league buy. 2. (bigger) He is injured a lot. never has played more that 1000 league minutes in a season
  4. zero chance Napoli sells him now and in the summer he may cost well over £100m if he keeps playing like he is (and has) full replay and also just highlights https://soccercatch.com/matches/18546319/napoli-vs-juventus#media
  5. He has been training with us for several weeks. https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/club-news/report-12m-player-Chelsea-signed-in-the-summer-is-now-training-with-potters-squad-after-being-out-on-loan/
  6. Todd Boehly brutally sacked long-term Chelsea physio over Zoom, ditched medical director in staff cull and failed to fix injury-prone squad – how much of Blues crisis is bad luck? https://talksport.com/football/1301784/ Chelsea manager Graham Potter truly cannot catch a break. Two minutes at Craven Cottage on Thursday night summed up his lack of luck quite brilliantly. With the Blues back on level terms and dominating, Denis Zakaria became the latest addition to a long, long injury list in the 56th minute. Moments later, a moment of madness from new loan signing Joao Felix resulted in a straight red card on his debut. Just like that, Potter was without two more key players, with Felix to miss the next three games as Chelsea wait to discover the full extent of Zakaria’s thigh problem. Potter’s opportunity to turn things around vanished and Fulham went on to inflict a seventh defeat in the Blues’ last ten matches. The irony is that Felix was rushed into the starting XI because of all the players missing – and perhaps that lack of time to climatize contributed to his rash challenge. Having agreed to cover 100 per cent of his £250,000 wages, along with a £10million loan fee to Atletico Madrid for a five-month deal, Felix’s suspension will cost Chelsea around £3m. It all begs the question: at what point does this stop being bad luck and, instead, point to more systematic failings? Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly, who took over in May, has spent more than £300million on players – and the Blues are currently tenth. Having acted as interim director of football, the American billionaire has assembled a squad of players who don’t fit and get injured all the time. While the sheer extent of Chelsea’s injury problems is unfortunate, how many games can players like Reece James, Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Wesley Fofana be expected to play in a season, given their records? Despite the spending spree, the Blues do not have a squad they can depend on to survive a rigorous domestic campaign. Their most reliable player, in terms of fitness, is 38-year-old Thiago Silva. Is it just wild coincidence that such terrible recruitment and an unprecedented injury crisis occur the season after Boehly culled the long-term staff who took care of these things? While the departures of Bruce Buck, Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech dominated headlines, the medical team was also dismantled. Head physiotherapist Thierry Laurent was reportedly sacked on a short Zoom call after 17 years at the club. Meanwhile, the club’s medical director Dr Paco Biosca was also given his marching orders after 11 years at Stamford Bridge. The biggest casualty, of course, was manager Thomas Tuchel – another decision which looks increasingly curious by the day. Could they have prevented any of this? Maybe not. But Boehly made this target for his back by ripping up successful, pre-existing methods and insisting his were better. With that comes responsibility when it all goes to pot.
  7. Chelsea make Harvey Vale loan transfer decision amid Graham Potter injury crisis Harvey Vale struggled for minutes during his maiden loan outing to Hull City with his progress halted by injury earlier in the season and now he has been recalled by Chelsea https://www.football.london/Chelsea-fc/news/harvey-vale-Chelsea-loan-transfer-25968399 Harvey Vale has returned to Chelsea with his loan at Hull City set to end prematurely. The Blues youngster joined the Tigers in the summer on a year-long loan but has struggled for minutes during his time on Humberside. football.london understands that Vale has made his return to west London despite featuring in Hull's FA Cup match against Fulham at the weekend. The 19-year-old becomes the club's second player to return to Cobham this month, following Jayden Wareham's spell with Leyton Orient also coming to an end. Vale made just two Championship appearances in addition to his FA Cup outing with Hull, playing just 137 minutes of football. The possibility of more appears seemed fraught, despite Hull boss Liam Rosenior being very complimentary about the England youth international. READ MORE: Four things learned as Joao Felix debut exposes brutal Chelsea realities in defeat to Fulham In December, he said: "They’ve both [Vale and Xavier Simson] made an excellent impression on me. Harvey’s got some outstanding abilities and is a really good athlete." Vale will remain with the Blues for the remainder of the season, having already featured for the club in the Papa Johns Trophy. Having already featured for two senior sides in 2022/23, he is ineligible to feature for another club and his remaining minutes for the season will come for either Chelsea's under-23 side or in Graham Potter's team. The academy product signed a new three-year deal before heading to the MKM Stadium in the summer.
  8. I am well off the boil with him now until this age thing is straightened out IF he is 22, going on 23, then he is not exactly lighting things up at that age, which he should be when he is that old
  9. It could take the club up to ten years if they rebuilt the stadium “stand by stand” while supporters have been warned that it could take as much as 18 months to clear up the demolition site. Chelsea could yet find an alternative site but none of the proposals put forward during the Roman Abramovich era are still on the table and the new owners are starting afresh. No decision can be made without the permission of the Chelsea Pitch Owners who are effectively freeholders of the current Stamford Bridge site.
  10. Massive game for Potter the rot has to stop
  11. Benjamin Mendy found not guilty on seven counts but awaits retrial over two charges The Manchester City star has been found not guilty of five rape charges, one count of attempted rape and a separate accusation of sexual assault. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/benjamin-mendy-found-not-guilty-28947202 Benjamin Mendy has been found not guilty of five rape charges, one count of attempted rape and a separate accusation of sexual assault. However, Manchester City star faces a retrial in June after the jury failed to reach verdicts on two counts, one of rape and the other, attempted rape. After 14 days of consideration at Chester Crown Court, Judge Steven Everett dismissed a jury made up of seven men and four women, the Mirror reports. They had initially been ordered to reach unanimous decisions on all 18 charges against Mendy, 28, and his co-accused Louis Saha Matturie, 41. During the 12th day of deliberations on Wednesday, Judge Everett announced he would accept a majority decision but the jury of 11 were still unable to reach a verdict, meaning the judge was forced to bring the ongoing trial from August to a close. Addressing the jury, Judge Everett said: “It is not unusual that jurors don’t reach verdicts on some counts. You have to be true to your duty.” He excused them from any further jury duty for seven years. Mendy, of Mottram St Andrew, Chesire, has denied all charges. The France star has been suspended without pay by Manchester City since he was first charged in September 2021. Matturie, of Eccles, Salford, has been found not guilty of three counts of rape regarding two teenagers. The jury failed to reach verdicts on three additional rape counts and three allegations of sexual assault against him by five other women. Four weeks into the trial, Mendy and Matturie were found not guilty of an additional count of rape against a 19-year-old woman after video evidence was shown in court that proved consensual intercourse took place. After the jury was discharged, Matthew Conway, representing the prosecution said they would be seeking a retrial on the counts the jury failed to reach verdicts on. Mr Conway said: “The prosecution has made a decision. We have made a decision today, which is to proceed on these counts in two separate trials and we seek today a provisional case management.” The retrial is due to begin on June 26 and is expected to last two to three weeks. Mr Matturie will be tried separately with his trial initially due in mid-September. In a statement, Man City said: "Manchester City FC notes the verdict from Chester Crown Court today, where a jury has found Benjamin Mendy not guilty of seven charges. The jury is hung on two charges and the trial is now over. Given there are open matters related to this case, the Club is not in a position to comment further at this time."
  12. now this too Chelsea and Newcastle to miss out on Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/Chelsea-fc-newcastle-moukoko-dortmund-transfer-b1052801.html Chelsea and Newcastle are set to miss out on wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko with Borussia Dortmund finally agreeing terms on a contract extension. Standard Sport understands the 18-year-old discussed a deal worth over £150,000 a week to join Newcastle on a free transfer when his contract expired at the end of the season. Saudi-backed Newcastle are targeting Champions League qualification and securing the best free transfers is part of their strategy to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. Chelsea and Barcelona were also known to be monitoring the Germany international, who looked likely to be leaving Dortmund earlier this window as he struggled to reach an agreement with Dortmund. Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke told Sky Germany on Thursday that Moukoko's exit was a real possibility. "It is legitimate that [Moukoko] is now trying to get a good position for himself," he said. “But it is just as legitimate that we have our ideas and if that is not congruent, then the cooperation will just not be continued. "That is the ultimate consequence, which can also happen. But of course, we hope that he stays with us. I think the whole process is quite normal. The difference is simply that he is only 18 years old and was already at the World Cup. This, of course, makes the whole thing even more public." However, Sky Germany now claim a compromise between the player and club has been reached with Moukoko set to commit to BVB for the foreseeable.

  19. Thiago Silva’s wife makes crazy suggestion that just might work https://www.Chelsea-news.co/2023/01/thiago-silvas-wife-makes-crazy-suggestion-that-just-might-work/ Thiago Silva’s wife Belle is always a good follow when Chelsea are doing well – but right now she’s suffering like the rest of us. Her husband is one of the few players on the team who can’t be held responsible for any of our issues this season, and she knows it. Her Tweet after the Blues lost to Fulham tonight summed up her feelings on the whole team – and plenty of supporters would agree with her. She lamented the fact that there was only one Thiago Silva – if we had one in midfield and one in attack to go with the one we have in defence, we’d be a lot better off. It’s seems like a ridiculous suggestion – but is it really that far off? We couldn’t do much worse, that’s for sure. Our project now is to find the Thiago Silvas of the future as soon as we can.
