yes, they need a LB as well (Walker is not getting any younger at RB, which is why I suggested those 2) LB is their curse position over the years they never effectively filled it with a remotely WC player, Cancelo did oki at times there as a right footer there, but he has weirdly flamed out they have spent (this is cray!) over £250m on just fullbacks (just in t fees, and add-ons, lol) since Pep has arrived soon over £300m I wager 🤪 Lewis looks pretty decent at right back, but not WC and if Walker leaves/ages out, they literally are down to only one other fullback the pedestrian, very meh LB Sergio Gómez Ake is far better at CB (he is actually quite decent there, not great, but decent) than LB, its one big reason we let him go overall Citeh are FUCKED at fullback, especially if the soon to be 33yo Walker goes down alleged raper Mendy is still in deep shit legally, and he was never that great anyway I was surprised they left Spuds buy Destiny Udogie (bruising speed merchant 20yo 1.88m LB from Italy via Nigeria) on the cheap last summer Destiny on the left and Dumfries on the right, in the Pep system, would be twin 6-2 American footie NFL free safety-bodied terrors

we should have taken Bayern's £40m back in the day before he blew out his Achilles
-
will they move for their ex player Pedro Porro now that Sporting fucked Spuds? perhaps they move for Dumfries?

Clearlake should hire him for their financial press releases! Here we go! CLEARLAKE SELLS MAJORITY INTEREST IN FLOWORKS TO WYNNCHURCH CAPITAL Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates, “Clearlake”) today announced it has completed the sale of a majority interest in FloWorks International, LLC (“FloWorks” or the “Company”) to Wynnchurch Capital, L.P. (“Wynnchurch”).

Clearlake is an extremely aggressive private equity and hedge fund management firm with a boatload of quants who can twist 55,000 page (not joking, many are THAT complex) derivative contracts until they scream. In just two years, Clearlake quadrupled its assets under management to about $72 billion as of May 2022, since its predecessor flagship fund closed in May 2020. I would not be shocked at all to see their May 2023 report show well over 100 billion USD under management now, as they shorted the hell out of the stock market right before it started to crash and burn last year and also bought up distressed assets at pennies on the pound (well on the dollar, lol).

wow, treacherous Portuguese Ornstein: https://theathletic.com/4135097/2023/01/30/ornstein-porro-spurs-Chelsea-world-cup-fernandez/ Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Pedro Porro is off after Sporting Lisbon reneged on terms of the proposed deal. The 23-year-old right wing-back was set to join Spurs and has been left distraught after Sporting president Frederico Varandas told him he would be allowed to leave following Saturday’s Portuguese League Cup final. Porro now looks set to miss out on the switch despite talks reaching an advanced stage and Sporting lining up Barcelona’s Hector Bellerin as a replacement. The performances of Porro for Sporting were rewarded with an international debut for Spain in March 2021, which came in a World Cup qualifier against Georgia. This campaign, he has been a regular presence for Ruben Amorim’s side, recording three goals and 11 assists in 25 matches across all competitions. Sporting sit fourth in the Primeira Liga.

The only other time in the last 5 years or more I have been this sure of a young CMF or DMF as I am about Bellingham and Enzo was Aurélien Tchouaméni Bellingham is a pipe dream and tbh, given our needs, Enzo in my opinion will have a bigger impact than Bells would have atm there are so few world class or near or potenetially (as in next year or so) world class CMF/DMF's out there 20 on the planet that I put there (and I am sure many here will say hell no to some of my stretches), and even fewer 25yo and under and deep holding defensive playmakers are the rarest of all (in red) other than Kante-style disruptors (only 2m or 3 of those, Kante, Barella, maybe Caicedo, not convinced on him as that, you maybe could make a case for Camavinga, and then the non listed Manu Kone, but they are not there yet in terms of that unique role, only Barella really is for sure, and even he is not prime Kante level) Jude Bellingham Joshua Kimmich Pedri Enzo Fernández Aurélien Tchouameni Gavi Federico Valverde Nicolò Barella Bruno Guimarães Kante when fit Casemiro Frenkie de Jong Rodri Luka Modric Leon Goretzka Marco Verratti Sergej Milinković-Savić Declan Rice (I can hear the howls now) Eduardo Camavinga Moisés Caicedo Bernardo Silva is too much of an AMF to list here, and Foden is NOT a CMF, no clue why T-Markt keeps listing him there

Osimhen is something special, but I do not think we can afford him this coming summer I am not sure if we rate Dušan Vlahović that much, we never have made a move for him, under two ownership regimes now there were two young ones I so wanted and we missed out on both last summer (we tried for both, especially Šeško) Hugo Ekitiké (no way PSG gives him up now) Benjamin Šeško (RB Salzburg, so there is a chance still) other than those, the best conventional deals are Ivan Toney, IF he doesn't get suspended for gambling, and Jonathan David BUT they will be very expensive as well and so that leaves (for me) Rasmus Højlund (19yo, 1.91m Dane at Atalanta, and not crazy expensive yet, huge potential) the rest not listed and who are actually available bore me a bit atm (the thought of them coming here is not awe-inspiring, lol) I think DDF has huge potential, and would love to buy Højlund and then call it a day this summer I am not going to get my hopes up for Osimhen (he is in the same league for us as Bellingham, ie. it would be insanely good to get both or one, but its likely a pipe dream for both or even one)

I do not have an immense amount of hope atm for Broja and I rate our offensive incomings higher than you apparently do

https://theathletic.com/4060920/2023/01/06/jude-soonsup-bell-Chelsea-departure/ Chelsea academy striker Jude Soonsup-Bell is going to leave the club this month. The Athletic reported in November that the highly-rated forward, who turns 19 next week, was considering his future at Chelsea and this was likely going to be his last season at Stamford Bridge. Soonsup-Bell’s current deal expires in the summer, but talks over an extension stalled last January when he began to consider his future. The teenager has now decided to bring forward his departure. Clubs in the Premier League and elsewhere in Europe have been monitoring the situation and are ready to take advantage of Soonsup-Bell becoming available. The terms of his exit will have to be discussed between Chelsea and his next team, but won’t be a problem. The teenager made his senior debut for Chelsea under previous coach Thomas Tuchel just 13 months ago and has been touted as a great prospect at the club’s academy for some time. For example, during the 2019-20 campaign, he scored 26 goals in all competitions for various Chelsea youth sides in just 17 appearances. In February 2021, he became the first Chelsea player in 59 years to score four times in a FA Youth Cup tie. Despite playing just 122 minutes for the Under-21s in the Premier League 2 this season, he has still scored two goals and registered an assist. One of the reasons for Soonsup-Bell’s departure, after seven enjoyable years at Chelsea, is that he is considering the pathway into the first team and that he will benefit from going elsewhere.
-
he has been good longer than 9 months, he really started to rise with that loan to the smaller club, Defensa y Justicia, which he helped drag to 2 continental trophies in 2020/21, then helped River Plate win the league title
