  1. What part of what I posted isnt true? He did not show up, and now claims it is passport issues. Both those are facts, not rumours.
  2. I couldn't care less that we missed out on Higuain. It is no real long term loss at all. I never wanted in the first place. Look at ever single line-up I make. He isnt in any.
  3. If this is the new Roman model going forward he has to sell. We lose Courtois on a free next year, Hazard will leave for half what he worth (or less) Willian will be 30 going on 31 so resale is shot. Pedro will be 32. Alonso value will plummet this year. If Emerson doesn't come good in a huge way we are fucked at LB. Kante will deffo bolt as well I fear. Unless Morata has a huge year his resale value will be shite. Who knows what will happen to Bats. God help us if Azpi or AC or Rudiger get hurt. Willian is now going AWOL and is going to be poison in the locker room if we force him to stay against his will. We are digging a hole for ourselves that will be insanely hard to get out of for 2019-2020 without a new owner who will splash massive cash.
  4. by cover you mean sub for him? cuz if you play Kante, Jorginho and Vecino all at same time you have a big problem with creativity and offensive thrusts there is ZERO chance that Vecino can play AMF well
  5. William just went AWOL and didn't show up to training camp claims it is passport issues https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6905429/willian-chelsea-training-passport/
  6. he's very close to signing a 3 year contract (€4.5m) he is over 30 so that puts post paid to any desires we may have to hijack, we dont do multi years for over 30's
  7. we need to have a 'De Laurentiis Is a Right Proper Cunt' thread Maurizio Sarri slammed as 'one-dimensional' by Napoli chief http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6010505/Chelsea-manager-Maurizio-Sarri-slammed-one-dimensional-Napoli-chief.html
  8. Unless we sell Bakayoko or Drinkwater (or a combo of 2 out of three between Cahill and Moses and Zouma) we are done buying. I am convinced. £60m net was what Roman said at beginning of window and so far that has held up. We will be have to be 2016-2017 lucky to finish top 4 with the lot we have.
  9. Maybe in bizarro reverso world. How much have you watched him play? I have seen him around 10 Serie A games just this year, maybe 25 overall, plus the WC. He is profoundly ordinary. I have listed 20 plus (including his teammate Roberto Gagliardini) who would be far better buys for what is his role.
  10. Hell yes they have!! especially holding onto Icardi!!!
  11. Abramovich warned us all at beginning of window. £60m net spend. I certainly thought that meant a shit tonne of sales and use that for upgrades. Looks like I was dead wrong. Unbelievable we didn't dump Bakayoko, Cahill, Moses, Zouma, Drinkwater, and Courtois. That would have least gave us £170m to play with and NONE of those save Courtois is going to play for shit this year. That amount of cash could have gotten a really good keeper to replace Courtois, plus Bailey, and Fekir. Add in the already paid for Jorginho and it would have been a great window.
  12. you be lucky if 22 quid got you 2 pints and 2 pies now
  13. Bayern Munich accept Inter offer for Vidal https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/bayern-munich-accept-inter-offer-for-vidal-56038 Not that I want him AT ALL, but this might free up Vecino as they now have up to SEVEN CMF's
  14. Yep, I have been watching it on Italian sports telly all morning. Thanks for the confirmation
  15. Mbappe? oh, wait...................................
  16. If Jose Callejon was 27 or 28 I would bite Napolis hand off to swap for a 27 or 28 YO Willian.
  17. He is better at Spanish and Italian. Football wise, MAYBE (it just KILLS me how shite Bakayoko turned out to be, had massive hopes for him, Drinkwater we LOST OUR MINDS when he not only bought him, but paid £32m!!!) Roberto Gagliardini? YES Vecino? Not so much I do rate Baka and Drinkwater a Mammoth and Large Standard respectively
  18. They will have to sell somebody, they would have an insane amount of CMF's (and NOT ONE DMF!!) Arturo Vidal Niccolo Barella from Cagliari <<< they are trying to fight off Roma for him too Dennis Praet Sampdoria <<<< he is actually IN Milan right now with his agent, they just showed it on Italian telly! LOLOL Radja Nainggolan <<<<< sigh, what could have been Marcelo Brozovic Joao Mario Matías Vecino <<<<<<<<<< not convinced Roberto Gagliardini <<<<<<<<<< if we had any brains, THIS is the one we should be chasing Borja Valero they must be thinking of playing a 3 6 1 !!!!!!! (Im having a laff of course) or am I?? 3–6–1 This uncommon modern formation focuses on ball possession in the midfield. In fact, it is very rare to see it as an initial formation, as it is more useful for maintaining a lead or tie score. Its more common variants are 3–4–2–1 or 3–4–3 diamond, which use two wing-backs. The lone forward must be tactically gifted, not only because he focuses on scoring but also on playing the ball back towards the own goal to assist with back passes to his teammates. Once the team is leading the game, there is an even stronger tactical focus on ball control, short passes and running down the clock. On the other hand, when the team is losing, at least one of the playmakers will more frequently play in the edge of the area to add depth to the attack. Guus Hiddink is one of the few coaches who has used this formation, for Australia during the 2006 World Cup. https://spielverlagerung.com/2015/12/06/the-3-6-1-a-logical-step/ Atlético created the 3-6-1 a couple of times against Barcelona years ago situationally. Diego Simeone is thus the official SV-Patron of this article.
  19. I doubt either are going to happen, Willian sure sounds like he is staying. Willian insists he is happy at Chelsea as Manchester United are dealt blow in pursuit of £65m star A reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford has long been mooted but Willian has insisted he is happy at Stamford Bridge https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/willian-insists-happy-chelsea-manchester-13005969 https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/sports/article/2001290158/willian-responds-to-manchester-united-transfer-links https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/996446/Chelsea-transfer-news-Willian-Man-Utd-Real-Madrid-Barcelona-rumours-gossip-news
  20. This is NOT going to make Higuain fans here happy. Nor Caldara (Juve were offended at Granny trying to lowball them for Caldara at £10m less than she offered for Rugani, btw, she is such a knob) fans, nor Rugani fans. Morata lovers will be over the moon. I also think this pretty much scuppers all hope of getting Martial. Willian may still be sold, but Martial is not like Bailey, he cannot play RW well. I also do not think Bailey is going down unless we sell Willian SOON, AND, to stick the knife in worse, the other great RWer who is available, Suso, is on verge of going to Roma from AC Milan, who need cash for the Higuain deal. Why Chelsea elected to pull the plug on the Daniele Rugani deal https://www.givemesport.com/1363787-why-chelsea-elected-to-pull-the-plug-on-the-daniele-rugani-deal?autoplay=off snip Chelsea have also been trying to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus. The 24-year-old Italian centre-back played under Sarri for two years during his successful loan spell at Empoli. However, a deal has failed to materialise and Chelsea have been forced to look at other options. The Times reports that their attempt to sign Rugani failed because Juventus wanted Chelsea to sign Gonzalo Higuain as part of the deal. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/chelsea-want-to-make-ngolo-kante-290k-top-earner-xzsp2l7wq The 30-year-old Argentine striker has been one of the most lethal hitmen in Serie A, scoring 111 goals in 177 appearances for Napoli and Juventus. Despite Alvaro Morata's struggles last season, Chelsea had doubts about Higuain and therefore elected not to continue their pursuit of Rugani, as per The Times. Juventus are looking to offload last season's top scorer following the €100m arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. You would imagine that Chelsea fans would have been keen to see Higuain playing regularly at Stamford Bridge this season. But it appears the Chelsea board did not agree. "I'm still waiting for the best Morata," Sarri said to reporters following a question regarding Higuain after Chelsea beat Inter 5-4 on penalties, as per Goal. "In the first match Morata did not play very well, in Australia [in a 1-0 defeat of Perth Glory]. But tonight, especially in the first 30 minutes, he improved a lot. "I am satisfied and I am very confident in him for the future." Following a strong start to his career in west London, Morata lost his confidence in front of goal. He only managed one Premier League goal in 2018 and consequently missed out on Spain's 23-man World Cup squad. Have Chelsea made a big mistake by passing on Higuain? this is all over Italian television (which I was streaming and my wife was translating for me) it looks like Higuain to AC Milan along with a swap of Bonucci for Caldara is about to go down Juventus-Milan, getting closer to the Bonucci-Caldara-Higuain affair http://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/serie-a/juve/2018/07/30-45893108/juventus-milan_sempre_pi_vicino_laffare_bonucci-caldara-higuain/ TURIN - The negotiation between Juventus and Milan has reached the final straight. Today the Juventus club has clarified to Gonzalo Higuain the intention to sell it and in the evening the match between the brother / agent Nicolas and Leonardo seems to have created the conditions for a landing in the Rossoneri. The formula is the onerous loan with a figure of around 20 million to be paid immediately plus another 35 to redemption. The only question mark is on the engagement of the Pipita but the parts do not seem distant. The deal between the two companies is broader and includes the exchange between Leonardo Bonucci and Mattia Caldara : in this case the two companies would have already outlined a meeting point because the evaluations are similar.
  21. DAMN he has lost a shit tonne of weight, looks so so much better
  22. Spalletti is now trying to pull the deal, he doesn't want to let Vecino go. Inter Coach Spalletti Reluctant To Part Ways With Chelsea Target Matias Vecino https://sempreinter.com/2018/07/31/inter-coach-spalletti-reluctant-to-part-ways-with-chelsea-target-matias-vecino/ Chelsea is not giving up on Matia Vecino, but for newly appointed Chelsea coach Sarri it will not be easy to bring the Uruguayan to London according to Corriere dello Sport. The Rome-based broadsheet reports that “Inter considers Vecino as a key player and Spalletti, who has done a great job on transforming him into a midfielder capable of combining the two phases of attack and defence does not want to give up on him.” Should Spalletti be forced to say goodbye to the player, he expects him to be replaced by a player with at least the same value or even a so called top-player. After the post World Cup vacation, Vecino returned to work with the group yesterday. Should he leave Inter, Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio will not be unprepared as the paper reports that: “Kovacic is the dream transfer, as Paredes the ideal playmaker for Spalletti, but neither of them have the characteristics of Vecino which would mean a change in the way of playing.”
  23. He is not very creative at all, from any of the 10 games or so I have seen him play. He is a bog standard holding CMF I am very underwhelmed by him. He also was one of the few Uruguayans on the pitch who struggled in the World Cup other than their GK and some of the subs. Indecisive, errant with passes, didn't do well marking He was subbed out for Lucas Torreira almost ever game. His rating from the France game
