that striker combo (Morata, Higs) fills me with tears (and not of joy) Also, Barkley is not up to level we need Barella there instead Isco as the number 10 (as Eden is almost surely gone) and my two choices of strikers (Jovic and Piatek) now that I could get behind especially is we upgrade or fullbacks (especially Alonso, who needs to GO)

I agree with this summation, I just hope (for all our sakes) he can crank it up for the next 6 months, if not longer. Most evidence seems to point to this not happening. Let us hope I am wrong.

I still contend that Zouma was perma-damaged with that massive injury and will never fully recovered to his pre-injury level. I have seen nothing to change my mind. I still think this too about Emerson (albeit to a lesser degree). Totally agree btw on Delph being garbage LB. Pep is growing weary of Mendy btw, and I really think he moves for Firpo or Chilwell in summer (maybe now, but I doubt that) Shitty REALLY need a back-up and soon replacement for Fernandinho. When he is out they are so fucked (as evidenced by this season). Now that De Bruyne is back (and soon fully recovered) and if Fernandinho stays healthy, I still say they will catch Victimpool.

4 3 1 2 IF Eden leaves yielding 4 backs then Kante Jorginho Barella then Isco or Fekir or Sarabia then Jovic and Piatek as striker duo THAT sounds great too! I like the sound of that
-
what do you think if of a 4 2 3 1 system, IF we had a great striker? the 4 defensive backs then a double pivot of Jorginho and Kante then Eden on left Isco or Fekir or Sarabia ( in the number 10 role) as central playmaker and Pulisic on the right topped off by Icardi or Jovic or Piatek
-
Isco is the one player that UJ and I really disagree on. I think he is overrated. If his knees are oki, would much rather go for Fekir. My number one AMF target is Kai Havertz, but Bayern (cunts) have him 90% in the bag, ffs. I also would go for Pablo Sarabia over Isco. Much more production for lower price. Its not that I dislike Isco, I just think that at around £80m to £100m or more, he is too costly for what we would get. £60m? Sign him up! No way RM drops that low I think.

Great comment. Many here way overstate AC's issues. Until that bloody Barca game, he was playing (overall) superb football IMHO, for a 21yo CB in the EPL. TAA (at 20!) is now a top 5 or 6 RB in world. Due to ages of the 4 or 5 in front of him (they wont be for long, 3 years max for 3 of them) the only RB I would take over him if we were given choice of any on planet would be Kimmich.
-
Unless Barca are guaranteeing him a starting position, which they will not, I assume, he is a fool to leave PSG IMHO. If he goes there, surely that must cock up the de Jong/de Ligt double deal a bit. Their MF will be crazy crowded if both Rabiot and de Jong come. Rabiot, de Jong, Rakitic, Artur, Vidal, Coutinho, Samper, Busquets, Rafinha, Aleña, and Denis Suarez (who is being sold) Thats 11, (soon 10) MFers! Roflmaooo. Signing those 2 (de Ligt/de Jong), PLUS Jovic or Piątek, would be a MASSIVE statement by us and might keep Eden from leaving. Hell, cheeky bid for Coutinho (supposedly he is being quietly shopped, with (god no!) the bin-dippers considering a grab-back.)

TBH, other than (and this is a huge one) another GREAT CB to pair with Koulibaly (hello Skriniar), that team was pretty complete and deep. You could argue for a true, first class CF too, as Milik has been blääääää. They should have moved for Edin Dzeko the split second they knew they were selling fat boy. But they were (and are) pretty damn loaded from top to bottom. Age will fuck them soon though, but certainly not when Sarri was there.
-
The only wingers on the planet, no stipulations as to availability or cost or position or feasibility due to age, or even want on team, who truly excite me are Mbappe, Neymar, Eden, Messi, CR7, Dembele, Sane, Salah, Jadon Sancho, Bernardo Silva, Insigne, Vinícius Júnior, Martial (but more as a CF TBH), Bale but do not want him), Sterling, Nicolas Pepe, Suso, and Memphis Depay. Potential wise (and these are a big drop off from above ATM) I have to add Pulisic, Chiesa, Iñaki Williams, David Neres, Reiss Nelson, Samuel Chukwueze, Hirving Lozano, Kingsley Coman, Mikel Oyarzabal, Thorgan Hazard, Steven Bergwijn, Richarlson, Gonçalo Guedes, Ismaïla Sarr, Rodrygo, Justin Kluivert, Paulinho, CHO, Alphonso Davies, Willem Geubbels, Javairô Dilrosun, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Maxwell Cornet, Keita Baldé, Ferrán Torres, Ademola Lookman, Julian Brandt, Cristian Pavón, Rodrigo De Paul, Fernando, Ezequiel Barco, Josip Brekalo, Moussa Diaby, Allan Saint-Maximin, Yann Karamoh, and Roger Guedes. Then the reclamation projects (who still have massive potential) of Malcom, Thomas Lemar, Bailey, Bernardeschi, and Asensio. Thats pretty much every winger I rate in one of those 3 categories, including 17yo's.
-
Yes, it is such a gamble unless you are SURE, like Mbappe or de Ligt sure, lolol. Unfortunately we are there perhaps for our striker (Piątek, who wont be CRAZY high priced, or to a lesser extent of a gamble, Jovic)

I might pay it, and there are no other available RWers not on that post I would pay anything near £72m for. No way. Mahrez is 28 in a month, sò hell no. £72m for one full under 30yo year? Nope. If Bailey was scoring at Pepe pace, then hell yes, but he has collapsed, which makes me a teenie bit cautious on Pepe but Pepe is not a fucked up kid, like Bailey, and Pepe is doing it on a far less talented team. Bernardeschi has regressed, Chiesa is still a LW in my book. Oh, Jadon Sancho. I would pay far more than £72m, BUT, he is really at the end of the day a LWer (although he could bench all but MAYBE Pepe out of any of my soable RWers), and also Shitty would block us. They would match price, then sell him, (maybe sell, if Pep is to be believed) to a non EPL club. Or keep him, as like I said, Mahrez is 30 in a couple years.
-
A wee bit, well it seems high compared to the £45m that was floated for months. TBH, I MIGHT pay it, I would like to see him close out year with 25ish goals en toto. The ONLY reason I hesitate on 72m is that it is his first truly big season. I work off of potential a lot, and he seems sky high, plus he is a marvellous athlete, which I rate high for the EPL. £55-60m is a great price in my book. Its pretty slim pickings for truly WC pure left-footed RWers atm.

this is why i TRULY think Willian is overrated Callejon Napoli RW and a year and a half OLDER than Willian PLUS his assists in same year order 11 7 13 17 17 so in 5 years 74 goals 65 assists! average of 28 total goals produced per year for 5 straight years Willan has but 88 goals in around FOURTEEN seasons! that's bloody 546 games! Many in shit leagues in last 5 full seasons 44 goals 42 assists 17 total produced per year and that is inflated (and for his career) by so so many non league goals and assists against shit teams he has NEVER scored more than EIGHT league goals in a year his yearly league totals I rest my case in terms of stats
-
Potential to me is not the next couple games its the longer term and Willian will be 31yo next summer he will soon start to slide downhill, in 2 years or so be a shell of what he is now (which is pretty shit in my book) I just want him gone for fair value We can have these philosophical convos on here all we want but week in, week out, I turn on telly and see him fuck up (with a lot of help from others, he is not the sole issue) the team it is hard to deal with football lately, bad football, and he and the fullbacks and shit strikers are to blame mostly there is no way I can take another 2 and half years of him as one of our starting wingers, zero chance same goes for Alonso I draw the line on those 2
-
I know you are not saying that about me I have not yet said 'stupid board' as I am sure the cash was really low now, if I see we turned down £20m or more plus Malcom I cannot promise I will at that point hold my tongue, lol

As much as I detest Willian, if Barca doesnt toss us at least £15, and in reality, £20m we are getting shivved from a 6 month ago valuation standpoint I am not 100% sold on Malcom, although I think he can be a very good player NOW If this was Nicolas Pepe and Lille wanted Willian plus £5 or £10m, I would bite their HAND OFF I would give William plus £25-30m, maybe more for Bernardo Silva and Willian plus at least £50 , £60m (or more, not joking) for Dembele
-
I SOOOOOOO much prefer him over Malcom I count Mbappe and Sterling as LWers playing out of position due to Neymar and Sane so only true RWers I would take over Pepe atm are Mo Salah Messi (although I never list him or CR7) Ousmane Dembélé (true RWer playing on left due to Messi) Bernardo Silva thats it Bale is too old for long term

Leeds just scored, 1 nil
