Italy Serie A January 3 January 18 fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk I forgot they slammed shut early!!!!!! I HATE the window system you should be able to buy whenever the fuck you want, except near the end and I do agree with cup-tied and no CL eligibility, etc we have only 7 days to get shit done in Italy
-
I tik we were deffo more intrested for months and months for Barella Paredes was only recently tossed into the mix and like I said Barella and Paredes are two different types of players, Barella is not a DH DMF, Paredes (and Tonali) are

I would say just go all out with playing our young, fuck worrying about 4th place IF we do fall far off the pace, but now, with CHO probably gone, and the club really looking like they are going to just roll on with the same old plonkers and even double down by trying to bring in washed up tubby Higs, I dunno. It is fun to watch some other clubs when we are doing oki, but if we derail and miss out again, PLUS do basically nothing about it, then lose Haz and CHO in summer and then (this will be the nail in coffin) do get t-banned for 4 windows then my misery over us may make any football really unbearable I seriously cannot take 2 or 3 more years straight of watching Willian, Alonso, Morata/Bats/Giroud/Higs, Azpi as a 30/31yo RB after another 4000 minute season, Barkley, Drinkwater, Moses (remember they wont be sold if still here and bans come) etc
-
This feels like Alex Sandro, Nainggolan, Koulibaly, Romagnoli, Sergi Roberto etc etc etc all over again. Players I adore, who would have made the club SO much better, who we went after over and over, and always fuck up or get fucked, then we drag in some SHIT, overpay for the turds, and end up keep the shit for years.
-
I think we are fucked tbh. The Italian papers have been saying it is Barella who is balking at the deal for days, Cagliari President wants the deal done. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK My dark mood is getting worse daily Ever since it became obvious that CHO is leaving (whether this window, next, or on a free) I have been in a real funk I also get a horrid feeling we are going to end up with Higuain and I really fear not just for a 6 month loan
-
I didnt so much mean resale, I apoligise if it looked like that I was focusing on a 4 year run vis-a-vis age KK maybe be the exception, but most backs go to shit after they turn older than 30 or 31 obviously there are exception, but look at so many huge names who are on pure downward slide now that they are 31 or older Ramos and Pique and Marcelo are perfect examples Hummels and Boateng's massive decline happened before they even turned 30

This coming summer is his last true huge cash-cost go-round, IMHO. 28,29,30,31yo and sell is doable 29,30,31,32 and sell is already decreased and 30,31,32,33 and sell is a fail

He might be an upgrade over Giroud as backup? Then 3rd striker when we bring in true quality.

32 goals in 34 games for Süper Lig side Kasımpaşa.

Because she is mobbed up and knows where many bones are buried. TBH I dont want to get into the entire history of Roman and his wealth (it is ugly, ugly shite, the typical Yeltsin-era oligarchic rape of Russian national resources tale, I will leave it at that), but all one needs to do is to look at current events to see that the entire thing is dodgy as hell. We are in a really bad geo-political situation. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/roman-abramovich-on-list-of-six-russian-oligarchs-targeted-by-uk-intelligence-over-links-to-putin/ar-BBQEq9K I desperately want the club sold.

Matt Law and others who I mostly trust covered the whole saga. I have posted this, starting back in the summer and continuing up until the present (unfortunately). Not just me but so many on this board. They even gave the exact date the last offer, the £65m one, came in, it was the Friday before we travelled back from Australia. Willian himself, whilst not getting into the monetary figures, confirmed the Barca had made multiple offers. Marina is a puppet of Abramovich, and I do think she has a BAD footballing brain, and bad negotiating skills, as well as very poor future-forward judgement. Her track record is abysmal, other than wringing out profits from the loan army and other business/sponsorship deals that she very likely had no true hand in definitively shaping. I absolutely stand by my slating her. If you think otherwise, I respect that that is your opinion.

I have posted countless times on this. It's flogging a dead horse at this point.

I was totally fine with Willian up until Conte's last year 2015-17 he was really really good then he fucking pissed me off with emojigate and started also playing like shit (and is worse now) I thought he MIGHT overcome and turn it around he is still pacey (when he wants to be) he is capable of great defence for a winger but he is footballing brain DEAD he slows up whole system BADLY he is also now a real ball hog

I would give Willian plus £20m plus UJ's left jacob for Nicolas Pepe

I am going to work off nightmare scenario Eden leaves for a pure cash deal CHO leaves for a pure cash deal so there we sit now IF we also sold Willian for Malcom plus cash AND bought Lozano and a cut-rate deal on (another blast from the past) Leon Bailey (and had Sarri rehab back to 2017-18 form) This is what we would be looking at for wingers LW Pulisic (right footed) turns 21 in September best USA player, so huge marketing inflow LW Lozano (right footed) turns 24 in July best Mexican player, so huge marketing inflow RW Malcom (left footed) turns 22 in February RW Bailey (left footed) turns 22 in August best Jamaican player, but that is small beer in terms of marketing average age of those four is 22 Pedro LW/RW cover (ambipedal) turns 32 in July, so next year or the year after is his last hurrah, and is the best over 30yo Spanish winger atm (only plus 30 Spanish players overall worth more are Pique and Ramos, as David Silva turns 34 next year) in reality, every one of those 5 can play either wing, so positions are fluid I would rate those wingers as a group at least 10, 20 goals to the good over the present group we have now (yes Eden included) odds are very high at least one goes top 10 superstar level you also could swap Bailey out for Suso (25yo the first half of the season) and the best Spanish RW on the planet
-
It is not £50m plus Malcom It is Malcom plus enough cash to equal a £50m valuation lets say they rate Malcom at £30m, they would toss in £20m I would take that in flash they paid £37m for him, so that is £57m in summer 2018 market value we all (well most) are freaking out over the board not taking £65m for William last summer from them well, he is older now (hit the big 3-0) so IF we did this, I will NOT lose my mind over an £8m difference and TBH, I can almost guarantee we would have paid EPL tax on that buy (plus our board is shit at lowering prices on buys), and paid £45m for Malcom if we bought him after we sold Willian to Barca last summer and then swooped for him so its about equal all in all

Take MARINA I want her the hell away from our team. In fact all the SIBNEFT mafia.

I stated that the 2018-19 numbers were for summer only. We dont know who we sell, who we buy yet for this window. And yes all those are from TM. I never stated those figures are an amortised profit/loss accounting statement nor are they representational of EBITDA. They are a simple zero sum calculus of net transfer fee spending and not inclusive of salaries, interest, insurance, or secondary expenditures such as long term conditional performance bonuses.

I need to see a link proving this. Here is a scientific study from the peer-reviewed British Journal of Sports Medicine that seems to show otherwise. Elite football teams that do not have a winter break lose on average 303 player-days more per season to injuries than those teams that do: a comparison among 35 professional European teams https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/early/2018/11/14/bjsports-2018-099506 Abstract Objective To compare injury rates among professional men’s football teams that have a winter break in their league season schedule with corresponding rates in teams that do not. Methods 56 football teams from 15 European countries were prospectively followed for seven seasons (2010/2011–2016/2017)—a total of 155 team-seasons. Individual training, match exposure and time-loss injuries were registered. Four different injury rates were analysed over four periods within the season, and linear regression was performed on team-level data to analyse the effect of winter break on each of the injury rates. Crude analyses and analyses adjusted for climatic region were performed. Results 9660 injuries were reported during 1 447 011 exposure hours. English teams had no winter break scheduled in the season calendar: the other European teams had a mean winter break scheduled for 10.0 days. Teams without a winter break lost on average 303 days more per season due to injuries than teams with a winter break during the whole season (p<0.001). The results were similar across the three periods August–December (p=0.013), January–March (p<0.001) and April–May (p=0.050). Teams without a winter break also had a higher incidence of severe injuries than teams with a winter break during the whole season (2.1 severe injuries more per season for teams without a winter break, p=0.002), as well as during the period January–March (p=0.003). A winter break was not associated with higher team training attendance or team match availability. Climatic region was also associated with injury rates. Conclusions The absence of a scheduled winter break was associated with a higher injury burden, both before and during the two periods following the time that many European teams take a winter break. Teams without a winter break (English clubs) had a higher incidence of severe injuries following the time of the year that other teams (other European clubs) had their scheduled break.
