PSG ready to rival Bayern Munich for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi after Maurizio Sarri snub https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6727381/PSG-ready-rival-Bayern-Munich-fuming-Chelsea-winger-Callum-Hudson-Odoi.html

You cannot only change things that you wish (in this case an outcome) when you redo the temporal time-space continuum. None of us can predict what would happen, as retrocausality enters the realms of possibility, and you are utilising a relational interpretation to previous existing events, when changing fundamentals will introduce transactional interpretations and potential paradoxes. You also have to allow that multiverse theory may very well render this entire conversation meaningless.

Don Balon is arguably the worst footie site/paper on the planet. Pure lies, 99.9999% of the time. Literally just make it all up, the more ridiculous the better.

THIS utterly sums up Sarri https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/sarri-on-kante-position-i-need-a-player-to-move-the-ball/dicj1z2l8vtz18tz4ii1zgo37 snip As he looks for a way to salvage his side's season, Sarri was asked if his insistence on playing Kante out of his natural role could be harming his side, and the Italian explained the France star does not have the right characteristics to play there in his style. "In that position, I want a player able to move the ball very fast," he said at a press conference. "This is not the best characteristic of N'Golo. N'Golo is very useful for us, but this one is not his best characteristic." When it was pointed out that the midfielder has won a World Cup and two Premier League titles, Sarri replied: "But in another system." snip He has to go.

at EVERY level except the fucking sponsorships that allow the cunts on the board brag about 'record profits' the new stadium was cancelled, the current set-up is costing us hundreds of millions of quid in lost revenue over a medium to longer term event horizon the owner is globally targeted as a Putin money-man and is being passively hunted, has been refused a visa, and refused entry if he works in country at all, AND if shit really hits the fan, we may be seized (NOT a joke at all) we have not had a DoF now for ages, the board is utterly numpty as fuck in terms of football IQ we are potentially facing two full years of both transfer and Euro footie bans, yet no urgency detected we have an insane amount of loan army players who NEED to be sold (promote 3, keep 8 others) as there is more than likely a hard cap coming in and the market will be saturated and we will yet again get raped on the sell price we turned down £620m in fucking hard, real offers this past summer, now we will get raped as players leave on frees, or for pennies on the pound we have made insanely poor buys (DRINKWATER!!! as exhibit fucking A) and hires, due to factors listed above and yet very little of these have been sorted yet on a perm basis we have RENEWED shit players or players who are rapidly falling back to an unacceptable level due to age and wear and tear The team is long term being destroyed as a football WC power right in front of our eyes. It is criminal that this is being tolerated to the level it is. The team desperately needs to be sold.

you are cherry picking genetic freaks (I always point out some just to be fair, but they are RARE, truly exceptions, Murray is obviously one) Drogba had ONE year beyond the 30/31yo age that was great, when he was 31/32 his 32/33yo and onward seasons PLUMMETED, never remotely as good and I gave Icardi until he was a full 31yo (in my 5 year peak positing) That said, it is simple maths, with, as stated, some rare exceptions some positions more than others fullbacks and DMF's especially WC RB's NONE over 29yo (unless you count absolute part-timer and not even RB now a lot of the time, Dani Alves, he would be CRUSHED defensively if you put him on a middling EPL team) ONE over 28 (and TBH I no longer rate him WC at fullback, after this shit year, he looks spent and is NOT good enough for us at RB) Azpi who is 29yo, 30yo this summer, he can still function as a CB in a back 3 IMHO Even at 28yo you only have 3 atm , Kyle Walker and (arguably) Mário Fernandes of CSKA and (again arguably) Kieran Trippier WC LB's NONE over 30yo One at 30yo (the rapidly in decline (further proving my point) Marcelo One at 29yo (Jordi Alba) that is it WC DMF's ONE over 30yo, the genetic freak Fernandinho (33yo) that is it other positions players can perhaps last a bit longer Strikers sometimes, but look at Higs for instance has just plummeted as he ages, and he even (I admit) looks really fit appearance wise (I am very happy he isn't, atm, a fat ass), but is slowing quickly and reflexes are going I DO hope he still comes good though sure there are some genetic freaks, and also slower leagues but the EPL today is overall a viscous-paced frenetic league

The Masterminds THE INCOMPARABLE LEGACY OF HELENIO HERRERA ‘He who plays for himself plays for the opposition. He who plays for the team, plays for himself. He who doesn’t give it all, gives nothing’ http://thesefootballtimes.co/2015/12/17/the-incomparable-legacy-of-helenio-herrera/ Helenio Herrera was one of the most original managers football has seen, in most ways imaginable. He ruled his teams with a combination of dictatorial discipline, gruesome training regimes, bizarre psychological habits, military-style training camps, and strict dietary plans. Nobody possessed a fiercer will to win – and nobody went further in order to achieve it. His methods could be cruel and heartless, his teams ruthless and cynical. Throughout his two most successful spells, with Barcelona from 1958 to 1960, and with Internazionale from 1960 to 1968, his eccentric persona infiltrated the press. The colourful phrases and affronts attributed to him – correctly or not – merited their own dictionary. An egocentric, he revelled in the attention. When he published his memoirs, according to Sid Lowe’s book Fear and Loathing in La Liga (2013), the blurb read: “This Herrera is the devil! Now he’s writing memoirs! May God forgive us! As if he hasn’t made enough noise already! As if the papers don’t dedicate him enough attention already! As if his words weren’t already invading every home, every office, every workshop and every public space! As if he wasn’t admired enough already! As if he wasn’t hated enough already!” Herrera claimed to have invented several aspects of modern football. Some assertions were false, but most were not. They include training camps and the allegedly destructive catenaccio system synonymous with Italian defensive football. He was the first modern manager. He elevated the coach from a peripheral figure to one of fame, power and influence. He was the first tactician to take credit for victories, and to command salaries in a similar bracket to his star players. He applied shrewd motivational techniques, and monitored his players’ private lives. Critics often felt he went too far in pursuit of victory. More than once, these included his own players. “I’ve been accused of being tyrannical and completely ruthless with my players,” he said, according to Jonathan Wilson’s book Inverting the Pyramid: The History of Football Tactics (2008). “But I merely implemented things that were later copied by every single club: hard work, perfectionism, physical training, diets, and three days of concentration before every game.” The demands of abstention were modelled on Herrera’s own private life. He never smoked and rarely drank. According to his daughter, Luna, his pasta dishes contained only olive oil and parmesan. He did yoga every morning. When awaking, he would tell himself: “I am strong, calm, I fear nothing, I am beautiful.” He was even wary of drinking too much water, hiding the bottle on the floor and guarding it with his feet when dining with his children. A relentless notion of discipline drove a fervent personality that could have no credible imitator. “Go ahead and judge him as the mood takes you,” Gianni Brera, the influential Italian football columnist, wrote in 1966. “Clown and genius, buffoon and ascetic, rogue and model father, sultan and faithful husband, swaggering fool and quiet achiever, delinquent and competent, megalomaniac and health fanatic. Herrera is all of the above and more.” SNIP

He is INSANE to not switch formations and totally switch tactics with these mostly SHIT players we have I mean shit now as the now is the temporal vector we all inhabit, I am not talking about 3, 5 years ago in terms of a straight Sarriball 4 3 3 we lack one CB (Luiz is joke, a bad one) 2 Fullbacks (BOTH are sub par, Alonso massively so, Azpi is spent and inept offensively) 2 or 3 midfielders (Kante will never work out in Sarriball, unless we get a vastly better DH DMF (Jorginho is an EPL fraud) AND a killer AMF) a RW (both are laughably poor, and I am NOT yet at all sold on Pulisic, other than as a marketing bonanza) a CF (NOT at ALL sold on Higs, he has massive flop potential written all over him, so hope I am dead wrong) that's 7 or 8 of the outfield 10 that need replacing to play Sarriball ZERO chance Roman backs the board to liquidate and then WC upgrade the team its not going to happen he doesn't give a toss anymore The club needs to be sold.

If we are going to make a huge money move for him, this summer is probably it in terms of being remotely worth it. We would only get 3 full full seasons out of him before he hits 30yo. At most he has maybe 5 truly peak (and that last one, when he turns 31, is shaky) seasons left, especially in the meat grinder that is the EPL. Icardi is almost guaranteed to not be a genetic freak like CR7 or Zlatan. AND Callum Wilson is a YEAR (almost exactly) OLDER than Icardi and has those BAD knees I can see the board buying Wilson, ROFLMAOOOOOO Only strikers I rate (who are remotely available) Icardi Dybala (not convinced he can be a straight nine) Werner Jovic I would go, all in all (and especially because of events with that gold-digging baby-machine whore of a wifey of Mauro) with who you said Werner, then Jovic IF he was 22 to 26, BY far the number one pure striker I would want would be Lewandowski he is at this exact moment, the best striker on the planet Shame he is already 30

Here is a dream Simeone wins it this year Ratcliffe buys us Hires Simeone liquidates all the dross Simeone would toss a bish like Alonso or Willian through a window
-
This may be his year, its wide open
-
cannot go there until he wins the CL its why Messi and CR7 cannot be greatest without a WC I never bend those rules of thumb
-
not so much basing it off this result obviously Schalke are BY FAR the worst CL team left, one of the worst round of 16 teams in the last 10 years but Shitty are simply devastating and deep now that Juve are in trouble I probably will slide them up to favourites just above AM, Barca, PSG still think Juve may pull a shocker comeback should be interesting AM is incredibly disciplined though and have the best MF in the world IMHO also, the player on Shitty that I truly rate as almost Alonso bad (Otamendi, MASSIVE fraud) burnt them tonight so hard to take all EPL teams serious when SHIT like Alonso and Otamendi make first team
-
I hate seeing that cunt Morata all in ecstasy and on a superb winning team
-
Might be Shitty's CL year
