  1. Because Roman doesn't give a shit anymore, and he is a wanted man globally, so far bigger things on his mind. The team needs desperately to be sold. Ratcliffe please. Or Bezos, lolol.

  16. As it stands, there are only 4 sub 30yo acceptable (and remotely available targets) Icardi Dybala Werner Jovic none will be easy at all getting one is a absolute must if we have any hopes of getting back into CL and title contention plus a shit tonne other upgrades everyone but Kepa, Rudiger, and Kante (assuming Hazard and CHO leave and Reece James is not ready to go full time starting RB), all but those needs to be replaced/upgraded its a monstrous task, but if we liquidated (a huge chunk of the loan army including the ex first-teamers, plus the Eden and CHO cash) we will have close to or even more than £600m if the bans actually do hit, and hit before we are well into the upgrades, we are fucked for years
  17. Pretty much agree bruv! Good post.
  18. Matt Law's Chelsea briefing Chelsea rule themselves out of pre-season cup By Matt Law Football News Correspondent Sarri at the friendly between Chelsea and Perth Glory in July (credit: Darren Walsh/Getty Images) Chelsea are set to skip this summer’s lucrative International Champions Cup in favour of tailoring their own pre-season plans. The Blues have already confirmed they will play one pre-season game in Japan in July and that is expected to be followed by a second match in Asia. It is also anticipated that Chelsea will hold a European training camp to prepare for the new season. Ironically, the planned schedule would be far more in keeping with the wishes of head coach Maurizio Sarri, who is expected to have been sacked by then. Sarri was dismayed by Chelsea’s pre-season programme last summer, which saw him fly with the squad to Australia immediately after his appointment. “I would change it completely, if I can,” said Sarri ahead of this season. “I arrived in the middle of July, so the problem was there. I accept it, but, for the future, it will be better to change it. But my perfect programme of pre-season is not completely in line with the programme of the club. So we have to arrive at a compromise.” The Blues played Perth Glory before competing in the money-spinning ICC against Inter Milan, Arsenal, and Lyon. Chelsea’s final friendly against Lyon took place on August 7, two days after the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City and four days before the start of the Premier League season. It seems a compromise between the commercial needs of the club and the football requirements has been struck with the trip to Japan keeping sponsors Yokohama happy. And fewer matches at Chelsea’s choosing, in venues they are happy with, together with a European training camp, should keep whoever is in charge of the team satisfied. With another new head coach potentially in charge and Chelsea needing to make up ground on Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, this year’s pre-season preparations need to be right.
  19. BENCHED Callum Hudson-Odoi: Chelsea forward has played just 19 minutes since hope of January transfer to Bayern Munich ended https://talksport.com/football/496885/callum-hudson-odoi-chelsea-minutes-january/ plus there is Sarri and Zola's gaslighting sod them both

  21. we should dispatch Malmö but I have a real problem seeing us beating (in our current state) Napoli (they have to be the favourites overall, a superior team to us, the only players we have who would start are Kepa, Rudiger, Kante, and Hazard (either he or Isigne would have to move to the RW) Inter (provided they sort Icardi) Sevilla (provided they knock out Lazio, and they are up nil 1 going back home) and will perhaps struggle mightily with Arsenal RB Salzburg (if they beat Brugge (who won one nil at home, and have a couple superb players), remember they DESTROYED RB Leipzig Eintracht Frankfurt Bayer Leverkusen Benfica perhaps even Valencia Villarreal we REALLY need a lucky draw IF we had to go through 4 of those first 8 teams, including 2 or all 3 of the first 3 there is almost no chance we win KILLS me to say that, just kills me! my dog how far we have fallen
