they play a 3 4 1 2 they have two monster CF's Jovic and Haller, deffo better than Arse's pair Haller is probably out, as is(for sure) their other monster offensive player, Ante Rebic (SS), who is suspended on yellows they also are missing due to injury two partial starters (the out for the year Taleb Tawatha (LB, Jetro Willems can play), and the day to day injured AMF Marc Stedera) They have a superb teen CB (who I have been talking abut for ages) Even N'Dicka a decent DMF in 32 vet Gelson Fernandes a very dangerous super pacey RB/RMF in Danny da Costa and a very dangerous LMF in Filip Kostic Mijat Gacinovic can be effective at AMF as well they are pretty weak at CB other than N'Dicka and their traditional MF is not that great we dodged a huge bullet with Haller probably out and Rebic for sure but Jovic is a beast ny number want at CF (if we cannot get Icardi) but he is so gone this summer, so yet another board insanely massive cock-up

For the hosts, Eintracht Frankfurt, forward Sebastien Haller is a doubt due to an abdominal issue. The side making its first European semifinal appearance since 1979-80 will also be without the services of forward Ante Rebic (suspended), midfielder Marc Stendera (back) and defender Taleb Tawatha (ankle). massive breaks for us, especially with no Rudiger

Aina is gone, Torino is exercising his buy option, Baba is a LEFT BACK, and obviously has been written off long ago in terms of playing on our first team. That leaves Reece and Azpi, and as soon as the bans are over Azpi has to go as a starter. He is no longer a top quality RB, we may keep him as a reserve CB but that is pissing away 25 or 30m. Too many minutes over too many years has burned him out. He is so limited offensively, as is Alonso and Zappa and Emerson. Those 4 are just horrid crossers. Reece may end up playing a lot of CB as well, so this is a good buy. We are not going to get him anyway, he is going to be snapped up this summer whilst we are banned. Wan-Bissaka will get snatched up too. I am so hoping Denzel Dumfries doesnt move them summer, stays at PSV, and we can swoop for him in summer 2020. He is a beast, 1.89m tall, explosive, and a superb tackler. Great at crosses too.

Chelsea target £35m-rated Nice right-back Youcef Atal this summer - if they can delay Fifa ban https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/04/29/chelsea-target-35m-rated-nice-right-back-youcef-atal-summer/ Chelsea have included Nice right-back Youcef Atal on a list of possible transfer targets this summer, should their Fifa ban be delayed. The exciting 22 year-old is being tracked by a number of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, and would cost at least €40 million (£34.6m), although that price could go up. Atal became the first Algerian to score a hat-trick in Ligue 1 for 33 years at the weekend, in Nice’s 3-0 win over Guingamp, prompting coach Patrick Vieira to try and dampen down the interest and insist he is not for sale. However, Atal, who played on the left of midfield in that game, has already been scouted by clubs around Europe after a series of impressive performances; not least as a quick and skilful dribbler. It is therefore expected that Nice will have a fight on their hands should a bid be made and they try and keep him. Atal only joined Nice last summer from Belgian club Kortrijk and has become a star of the Algerian national team which will compete in the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. snip

Matt Law's Chelsea briefing Club legend Cech's potential new role By Matt Law Football News Correspondent Petr Cech could return to Chelsea in the summer (Credit: Getty) Chelsea’s decision to prepare a key role for club legend Petr Cech has won the approval of the club’s players. As revealed by Telegraph Sport last week, Chelsea expect their former goalkeeper Cech to return to the club to take on elements of the job left behind by ex-technical director Michael Emenalo. One duty Emenalo performed well was to provide a link between the players, head coach and the club’s board. Members of Chelsea’s squad have felt the loss of Emenalo, as head coach Maurizio Sarri has been unable to provide answers over contracts or transfer decisions. Players hope that the return of Cech, who has announced his playing retirement with Arsenal at the end of the season, will give them a point of contact above the head coach. Sarri has consistently stated that decisions over contracts and transfers are not taken by him, which has led to some frustration among players keen to discuss their futures. It was also noted during a bad run of results, when Sarri was on the brink of being sacked, that there were no messages coming from the board to the players. Emenalo used to either reassure players that the coach would be staying or dish out rollickings on the orders of owner Roman Abramovich when it was clear the coach’s words were not being listened to. With Abramovich unable to work in the UK because of his visa problems, the Chelsea owner is no longer a regular visitor to the club’s Cobham training ground. But Cech would be able to fill that void by providing a voice from the board to the players and passing messages back. Cech was among a group of former players who used to have a direct route into Abramovich and the Russian is known to value his opinion and playing experience. The return of Cech will also please Chelsea supporters at a time when there has been a disconnect between the club and the fans. Some fans have chanted against Sarri and his style of football while others have stayed away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks. There has also been annoyance over the perceived lack of football experience on the Chelsea board, but Cech would be seen as a positive addition. European clubs such as Bayern Munich and Ajax have a record of appointing their legendary former players into positions of power to keep a connection with successful periods in their history. Cech won four Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Europa League, four FA Cups and three League Cups during 11 incredible years at Chelsea.

This is now a must, due to the bans. I also think the board is going to cave in on Luiz and give him the 3 year contract extension he is demanding. They sure as hell better sell his arse in 2020, I cant take 3 more years of Azpi, Luiz, and Alonso as 3/4 of our back 4. Shoot me now.

Sarri should have played Ampadu more, grrrrrr. Shame we can't call up Reece James. He can play CB.

CIES Football Observatory n°260 - 29/04/2019 Demography RB Leipzig signed its footballers at the youngest age http://www.football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/b5wp/2018/260/en/ The 260th edition of the CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post analyses the age at which players fielded during this season in 24 European top divisions were signed by their clubs of employment. Academy graduates are not included in the sample. RB Leipzig recruited its footballers at the youngest age (21.43 years on average), while MKE Ankaragücü signed them at the oldest one (29.28 years). The second and third lowest values for age at recruitment at big-5 league level were registered for two other teams with a transfer strategy clearly focused on the signing of young talents: Real Madrid (21.95 years on average) and Olympique Lyonnais (22.64 years). Many other very competitive teams are in the top 20 positions of the rankings. At the opposite end of the table is Parma (27.35 years). CSKA Moskva is the club from the 19 further European top divisions surveyed that signed its squad members at the youngest age: 21.9 years on average. The Russian side outranks the club having fielded so far the youngest footballers in domestic league games during current season: FC Nordsjælland (see Demographic Atlas). At third position is RB Salzburg, ahead of five Dutch and two Belgian teams. I agree, and overall, the team just looked much sharper with CHO in versus Wilian or Pedro at RW, he is a constant threat at RW, especially to cross the ball. Is he at a great level yet? NO, but playing more gets him closer. I hope he is fine after his injury. An Achilles blow-out is not a joke. It is serious and can affect explosiveness.

I love being right. Warned about this donkey since I joined. Sarri demanded him, and the worst board of any top 25 club obliged the old smoker. All 3 need to go. Somehow we managed to find worse £40m plus striker than gel boy. Due to the bans we are going to have to just hope Giroud can still play and Tammy steps up, unless we bring back Morata for a year. Hell, try the turtle at CF. At least he can shoot (which makes it so maddening he cannot cross).

it is going to come down to last game of the season I think Us (Watford at the Bridge) Arse (Home v Brighton) Spuds (away at Bournemouth) Manure (away at Huddersfield) all 4 of us should win those games We have by far the hardest game, but it is at home We also have the hardest last game (away at Leicester) Spuds have the second hardest, Everton at home Arse the 3rd hardest (or 2nd hardest, away at Burnley) Manure has a cakewalk, a probably already relegated (unless they win v Palace, a draw is not ggod enough to catch BHA, even though BHA will lose both their last 2 games, as their next game is v Shitty) Cardiff
-
correct for us it is simple we win the last 2 we finish 4th guaranteed, unless spurs win a game then lose a game OR draw both OR lose both, then we are 3rd guaranteed
-
no a win and loss leaves them at 73 if we win both, we are at 74 if they they win and draw, we are fucked for 3rd even if we win both (they are plus 8 GD over us, no way we can make that up even if they draw one and win 1 nil in the other, as we need to win the last 2 games by at LEAST a total of 9 goals between the two games, say 6 1 and 4 nil (will NEVER happen, and they may win a game by more than 1 or 2 goals (Bournemouth and Everton is who they play)
-
Maunure WILL win their last 2 games Cardiff and Huddersfield the two worst teams (Fulham is finally playing oki, even though they are relegated) in the EPL they will end up at 71 points BUT even if we lose one and win one, they cannot catch us (GD too great) If we lose and a draw or lose both Manure will go to CL IF Arse doesnt win BOTH, a draw and a win for Arse leaves them at 70 points, Manure will beat them by one point
-
now we do UNLESS Arse have a draw or a loss if we win one and draw one that is 72 points Arse have 66 so if they win both 72 and even though we are finally above them in GD it is only by one if we draw, no gain, lets say we win by 2 in the other game, we are plus 3 all Arse needs to do is win one by 1 and one by 2 and we tie on GD, BUT lose out as they have far more goals scored (plus 9 over us) IF we win by one and draw the other and Arse win both , even by 1 nil and 1 nil they go to CL and we do not Arse's 2 games left our two games left 2 of the 3 best non top 6 teams on paper odds favour Arse to take more points it is going to be a grinder, especially that away at Leicester
