Verrati, who I LOVE is a great comparison if he is even 3/4ers of that, we got a real gem you could make a strong case that Marco Verratti was the best CMF in the world for THIS season (de Jong is the closest competition) he has been magnificent for PSG, even better player Gilmour reminds me of a WEE bit (and now I am just getting silly, as we are now getting up to football gods level lolol) Xavi

IF we cock this up it will go instantly into the top transfer disasters in modern club history surely top 5 to 7 and number one for humiliation De Bruyne no buyback clause <<< I will NEVER forgive nor forget Torres buy, until Kepa (perhaps) and Drinkwater, the worst buy in club history Drinkwater buy <<< for sheer stupidity, it is hard to top this in terms of buys, £55+m potentially down the shitter and we all knew he was SHIT for Chels, same with £16m shit away on the Higs LOAN 2018 non sale of Willian for £65m, 2018 non sale of Alonso for £45m the non timely Courtois 2017 sale which led to the 2018 panic sale and panic buy of Kepa (IF Kepa is a complete bust then the 2-way money lost (panic sale, panic buy)is INSANE, at least £115m to £120m, and possibly more) Salah no buyback clause non timely sale of Hazard (only because it is quite possible, if we only end up with £90m en toto, it will be around £90-100m less than the year before,) Bakayoko buy (he and Shevchenko were the two I got the worst wrong in terms of being happy with the transfers and then BOOM) Robben premature sale, although he forced our hand and we made a great profit the multiyear Alex Sando Juve assfuck of Marina the multiyear assfuck of Marina by the poison dwarf over Koulibaly Andriy Shevchenko buy (it still baffles me how poor he was here, grrr) Zappacosta buy Shaun Wright-Phillips buy (still a WTF??? given the huge price we paid) Emerson buy Baba buy Juan Cuadrado buy Higs loan, ffs the David Luiz BUYBACK, zero problem with the first buy and the superb sale, but he never should have been re-purchased, so so stupid Yuri Zhirkov buy, just smdh the buy and then non use of Filipe Luís (fucking Mou) I will not list small priced shit buys, and did not list buys who sucked as players but we made good profit on or nearly broke even

Former AS Roma and Ghana midfielder Barusso hails 'inspirational' Chelsea legend Essien https://www.goal.com/en/news/former-as-roma-and-ghana-midfielder-barusso-hails/1o6931kmpqme21hy3tnt8h863s The ex-Nania FC player has nothing but kind words about his former international colleague Former AS Roma midfielder Ahmed Apimah Barusso reveals he took inspiration from erstwhile Chelsea ace and former international team-mate Michael Essien in reaching the elite stage. After years in the Italian lower divisions, the former Nania FC man earned his big break in 2007 when he signed for Roma from Serie B side Rimini. His breakthrough, together with a fine start at Stadio Olimpico, secured him a place in Ghana's squad for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) where he played together with Essien. “I was always arguing with my coach at Rimini. He told me I had to break into the national team set up and be like Michael Essien,” Barusso, whose career was weighed down by injuries, told CitiSports. “Anytime Chelsea was playing that season, he would tell me to stop everything I was doing and watch the game and take notes on Essien’s performance. ”Michael Essien was a very great player at the time, and we played in a similar position. ”I had no choice but to watch because if I wasn’t able to answer his questions the following day, I’d be in trouble." Essien, currently on the books of Azerbaijani fold Sabail, remains one of the most accomplished Ghanaian footballers. The 37-year-old won the Ligue 1 title twice during his time with French giants Lyon. After moving to Chelsea in 2005, he helped the Blues win the league in 2005-06 and 2009-10, lifted the FA Cup four times, the League Cup once, the Community Shield once and the Uefa Champions League in 2011-12. Ahead of the start of the 2012-13 season, the Ghanaian joined Spanish giants Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal, reuniting with former manager Jose Mourinho. After the Madrid stint, Essien would return to make five league appearances at Stamford Bridge before joining AC Milan on a permanent deal in 2014. The Accra-born played for Bastia in France after leaving Ghanaian outfit Liberty Professionals. He was also on the books of Greek outfit Panathinaikos in 2015-16. At international level, the utility man was among the group that qualified Ghana to their first-ever Fifa World Cup tournament in 2006, going ahead to play at the final tournament. He also laced his boots for the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup after missing the 2010 edition due to injury.

Jude Bellingham 'rejects Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund' By Ben Knapton | 1h https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-utd/transfer-talk/news/jude-bellingham-rejects-man-utd-for-dortmund_402202.html Birmimgham City starlet Jude Bellingham has reportedly snubbed Manchester United in favour of Borussia Dortmund. The 16-year-old has emerged as a highly sought-after prospect following his performances in the Championship this season - with United, Dortmund and Chelsea all credited with an interest in the midfielder. Bellingham appeared to be edging towards a move to Old Trafford after supposedly being shown around the training ground, but the Red Devils may now be forced to concede defeat in the race for the midfielder. According to Sport Bild, Bellingham is favouring a switch to Dortmund following reports that United were unwilling to meet Birmingham's financial demands. Bellingham would become the latest English youngster to ply his trade in the Bundesliga, with current Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho supposedly emerging as a leading target for United ahead of the summer transfer window. Bellingham has registered four goals and three assists for Birmingham this term, and the teenager's current deal with the Championship outfit is set to expire next summer. snip

Samuel Eto'o dispels Jose Mourinho myth after Chelsea and Inter Milan spells Jose Mourinho is notorious for ruffling feathers in the dressing room, but former Inter Milan and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o has leapt to the Special One's defence https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/samuel-etoo-dispels-jose-mourinho-22179150 Samuel Eto’o has issued a passionate defence of “top guy” Jose Mourinho, rubbishing claims that his former manager is difficult to work with. The former Cameroon striker first played under Mourinho at Inter Milan, playing a crucial part in their famous Serie A and Champions League double in 2010. He then enjoyed a brief stint under the Portuguese at Chelsea, scoring 12 goals in the 2013/14 campaign before leaving to join fellow English side Everton. Mourinho, who was appointed Tottenham manager back in November, has become somewhat notorious for losing the dressing room during his third season with clubs. But Eto’o has leapt to the Special One’s defence, denying claims that he causes controversy behind the scenes. “Jose is, firstly, a friend,” he told Spanish outlet Marca. “He's a person who's upfront and when he doesn't like something, he tells you. We both have strong temperaments and we understood each other well. “He's one of the best people I have found in football. People try to present him as controversial, but it's a lie. snip

well, since Roman has bought the team we have had, at one time or another, if just for a year or too, but then perhaps again the best in the world GK Cech CB Terry LB Ashley Cole DMF Claude Makélélé DMF Kante AMF Lampard CF Didier Drogba and Hazard as 2nd best LWer (after Neymar) 3rd if you count CR7, but he plays all the over the pitch, so hard to just call him a winger (Mbappe is like that now) so it isn't like he have not had best in world talent before (Havertz obviously, if he stays at AMF will be the best after De Bruyne slows down), those two are just streets ahead of the others on the planet there atm if we were to snag Alaba, he has been the best LB on the planet for ages, until Davies exploded this season, and forced him to CB (as did injuries at CB for Bayern) We also cocked up multiple shots at the number best LB at the time, Alex Sandro (fuck Jordi Alba, always detested him, he would have gotten smashed up in the EPL, little spoilt dwarf, Marcelo was a joke as a defender, worse than Alonso, or close) fucking sucks that Oblak turned us down in 2018 or we would have the best GK now too Werner is arguably the best SS or CF with two up top on the planet (Dybala would be his only real competition there) In 3 or 4 years I predict Camavinga will be the best or 2nd DMF on the planet, IF Kimmich goes back to RB, and as he is 8 years younger, so will get there anyway (with completion from Tonali who I also have been pushing hard for ages) Saúl Ñíguez is the best pure CMF on the planet, unless, unless you count Frenckie de Jong (obviously not buyable) as a pure CMF, and even then, I think they are probably tied, with slight edge to Saul atm Hell, de Ligt (swap for Jorginho and Emerson?) has best CB on the planet POTENTIAL (not remotely there yet but the lad was still a teen at the very beginning of this season) IF we somehow did a swap with Real, Kante for Varane, we would have the best or 2nd best CB on the planet there is always a method to my madness, lolol if we had not fucked about and cocked up so many sales and buys between summer 2016 and summer 2019, we could have had the cash to pay for most of those, some then, some now (and had Oblak a year before he turn us down, when we were coming off a championship year and had CL footie to offer)
-
I never rated him, he has a poor footie IQ and is trouble outside the the team environs (obviously) when French players go bad, they really go bad (mentally/behaviour) <<< broadbrush cheapshot, lolol, but is often borne out Ousmane Dembélé is archetypal in that regards

this is totally anecdotal, but a German presenter (who partners with an native English speaker) said that Havertz had shit luck with players he set up missing so many sitters and/or decent chances and also cocking up a counters or flow of play key passes from him wish I could recall the bloke's name, but every time I see him present a game he is a fucking encyclopaedia on German football
-
we have arguably the most complex MF situation of any top 20 team, especially IF we buy Havertz and do not sell Kante insane talent, but also so young in certain players, and then hard to work in players (Kante, Jorginho, Mount, RLC, Kovacic,(to a point), Barkley, Ampadu (DMF or CB?), Gallagher all of whom have nebulous best positions) plus Gilmour, Ziyech (can play AMF but will be a winger mostly I think) and then possibly Havertz (he is great no matter where he plays) and finally youth team Tino Anjorin (loan him out to Germany or the Dutch Legue) plus the need to be sold or released Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Kenedy, Marco van Ginkel, Charly Musonda, Danilo Pantic, Izzy Brown, Lewis Baker, Nathan, Lucas Piazon Victor Moses (who plays at RMF at times) (Pasalic is soon sold) btw some above could be called part-time wingers, wingbacks etc as well 24 total possibly (23 when Pasalic is sold, 22 if no Havertz buy) and we are still SUPPOSEDLY looking at CMF and DMF (surely only when we start to sell off) plus there are the younger loanees and academy lads (like Jacob Maddox, George McEachran,, Henry Lawrence, Luke McCormick, Jon Russell, Tariq Uwakwe, Thierno Ballo, etc etc) it's fucking bonkers!!!!!
-
HARD PASS he never became the player he could have and is now will be 28 in less than 90 days he is a French African/Polish Emerson 27/28 year old LBs who are VASTLY better <<< Alaba, Telles, Nicolás Tagliafico, Lucas Digne (27 in 5 weeks), Marcel Halstenberg maybe even Wendell (exact, to the day same day age as Digne) << not sure on this hell, even a 29yo Alex Sandro (especially if we can do a free swap for Emerson IF money is tight)

magical year, and if not for that fucking no pen call when Sami Hyypiä SMASHED Kezman in the box (then Eiður Guðjohnsen flashed it just wide) in the 2nd half of 2nd leg of the CL SF at Shitfield, we would have won the CL that year as well, I am so convinced one the ten most frustrating Chels things in no order 1. 2005 CL SF v the dippers 2. CL 2008 Moscow (Terry's PK) 3. Selling de Bruyne with no buyback 4. losing the fucking FIFA World Club Cup 1-nil to Corinthians in 2012 (only major still contested trophy we do not have) 5. a multiple one, the 3 fucking Super Cup loses (2012, 2013 (FUCK, Martinez 121st minute goal, then losing in pens when Lukaku missed), 2019 (another fuck!!) thank fuck we won it in 1998 6. Roman getting arsed by the Home Office over Putin/Trump and thus pulling the plug on the new stadium 7. Tom Henning Øvrebø, and Barca, CL 2009 < FFFFFFFFFucking cunt 8. 2007–08 (did 2008 and Manure suck or what??) losing the EPL title on last day to Manure 9. 2016–17 FA Cup final 2-1 loss to Arse 10. losing on pens to the fucking scousers in 2006/7 CL SF bonus picks, Carlo getting sacked too early no buy back on Salah (arguable as we may not have done it even with a clause, and I admit it is hindsight) that SHIT 10th place Mo season buying Torres going out to PSG and Luiz in back to back CL round of 16's (2014/15 and 2015/16) <<< this was a main driver to us buying him back Marina not selling Willian for £65m to Barca in 2018 Kepa buy (provisional, but looking worse every month) the Drinkwater buy losing the 2008 League Cup final to SPUDS (GRRR, and I broke a toe (I think), roflmaooo, kicking a door and my mum tossed me out of the house for 5 hours, I was only 15 so couldn't even go to a pub and drown my sorrows and numb my poor foot) and then the Kepa game, ie. losing it the 2019 final to Shitty on pens, and finally our atrocious 2 wins versus 7 losses record (that really is pathetic, lolol) in the Community Shield in the Roman era I probably missed some but those come to me easily 4 minutes in it still ENRAGES ME

Premier League player names to be replaced on shirts by Black Lives Matter https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jun/11/premier-league-shirts-to-show-support-for-black-lives-matter-and-nhs-minute-silence-coronavirus A minute’s silence will be held before each match in the first round of the restarted Premier League to honour those who have died with Covid-19. Heart-shaped badges paying tribute to NHS workers will be embroidered into team kit, and various measures of support for the Black Lives Matter movement were also agreed upon at Thursday’s meeting between top-flight clubs. The Guardian understands that the league will have no problem if players or teams wish to take a knee before games, as some clubs have done before recent friendlies. The names on the back of players’ shirts will be replaced, for at least the first set of games, by the words Black Lives Matter, following an initiative driven by club captains this week. One club explained that their kit staff had been primed to order shirts reflecting the change. Black Lives Matter badges are also likely to be displayed on shirts, along with their NHS equivalents, although their exact placement is yet to be finalised. The issue of what happens if a player removes his shirt to reveal a slogan in support of the movement was raised, after referees expressed concerns about the appropriateness of issuing a mandatory yellow card in such cases. Officials are expected to be asked to use their discretion.

Tiago too (then we sold him and I cried ) his loss percentage in the league was 2.94%, just once in 34 appearances (a 0–1 loss at Manchester City on 16 October 2004), which is the lowest in history for any player having appeared at least 20 times

£75m is madness for him in this COVID-19 market (and even non COVID) so many far cheaper options out there David Alaba Theo Hernández Alex Telles Robin Gosens Alex Sandro (swap for Emerson) Nicolás Tagliafico Sergio Reguilón Luca Pellegrini Lloyd Kelly (has been hurt all season, now healthy, but is English, huge foe a LB (1.9m, no clue why he is now listed as only 1.78m, he is a full 6-3) pacey, 21yo) Rayan Aït Nouri (19yo who Shitty have also been scouting) completely bonkers wild card Robert Skov, 24yo Danish ex winger, he scored 31 goals in 2018/19, now has been played at LB in 9 and a half games for TSG Hoffenheim, 3 goals, 3 assists from there (I saw two of the games at LB and scored a goal, and a assist v Augsburg, and had an assist versus Bayern Munich, the game winner in fact superb free kick taker
