  1. ‘I know I have room to improve’: Kai Havertz makes vow to Chelsea FC fans Kai Havertz vows to keep working hard to improve his game at Chelsea FC https://www.thesportreview.com/2020/12/chelsea-fc-news-kai-havertz-fans/ Kai Havertz has vowed to keep working harder than ever to improve his game as he looks to write his name into Chelsea FC folklore. The Chelsea FC attacker has been settling into life at Stamford Bridge after having signed for the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window. Havertz, 21, has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea FC first-team this season and he made five appearances in the Champions League group stage to help Frank Lampard’s men progress through to the last 16.
  2. Carlo Ancelotti: What I really think about Frank Lampard at Chelsea FC Carlo Ancelotti rates Chelsea FC's start to life under Frank Lampard since his appointment at Stamford Bridge https://www.thesportreview.com/2020/12/chelsea-fc-news-ancelotti-lampard/ Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he has been highly impressed by the start Frank Lampard has made to life as Chelsea FC’s manager. The former England midfielder was brought in at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2019 and he led the Blues to a fourth-placed finish in his first season in charge. The west London side spent big in the summer transfer window, bringing in the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Edouard Mendy to strengthen Lampard’s squad. The Blues have made a solid start to the new season and are currently considered to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title as things stand. Ancelotti led Chelsea FC to the Premier League title and FA Cup during his time in charge of the west London side. And the Everton boss has now admitted that he has been highly impressed by the way Lampard has begun life in charge at the west London club. Speaking in an interview before Everton’s home clash against Chelsea FC on Saturday, Ancelotti said: “I think he’s doing really well. “He did really well before Chelsea, he did really well last season and Chelsea are doing really well now. “He has a fantastic squad, a fantastic team and so his job is really good. “Our relationship has changed because before it was a relationship between a manager and a player, now it’s between colleagues. “I am pleased and I am happy to see him again. Chelsea are in a really good moment. I think after a difficult start they start to play like they want and like they are able to do.” Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Tuesday night with a trip to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
  3. these could be had for less than 40m quid a pop, some far less we need winger depth, especially for next year when Puli and Ziyech will be gone for international duty Hirving Lozano Gabriel Veron (I think he was one of the 'young South American players' that we were supposedly going to buy in summer 2021) Leon Bailey Silas Wamangituka (has scored a brace in back to back games, including destroying Dortmund) 21yo, 1.89m, strong as a bull, super pacey, huge upside Ousmane Dembélé (Barca is saying 40m euros takes him) Moussa Diaby Jesús Corona (name discount?) Ismaïla Sarr (as long as Watford do not get promoted) Riccardo Orsolini Jens Petter Hauge (7 goals, 3 assists for AC Milan, in only 639 minutes) Samu Chukwueze Jérémy Doku
  4. Sancho has been shit in multiple games this season he was horrid in the 1 5 Stuttgart pounding, Reus was even worse, they are so fucked without Håland ZERO chance he is, atm, worth the £135m or so Dortmund want I would say £75m max only 3 players on the planet I would pay over £100m for are Mbappe and Håland and (I can hear the screams now, lol) maybe Kane (but he turns 28 in the coming summer, so it isn't like you are going to more than 4 or 5 absolute prime years max out of him, and to prise him away would take Coutinho/Hazard money (or more), which is just crazy) maybe Davies (100m on the nose MAX), but we have Ben so fuck that De Bruyne turns 30yo in 6 months, so nope (although he is by far the best AMF at this moment) Mane and Salah turn 30 during (Mane) and right after(Salah) next season, so hard pass on dropping 100m or more I am off the boil a wee bit on Sterling (defo would not turn him down for the squad at a decent price, but a decent price will never be had for him) Neymar turns 30 in a little over a year, so nope TA-A is too poor defensively and Reece is on pace to potentially be a better all-around RB, we shall know 3 years from now or so if this is true VVD could be 30yo the next time he plays a completive match, and we have no idea how he will recover, as he is huge man who will put insane strain on that knee Felix looks to be blowing up a bit, but zero shot I would drop £100+ million on him atm (maybe down the road) and I am not sure if his game is that tailor made for the EPL, as he is so slight of figure and can be bullied now Zero chance I would drop £100m on Oblak (or any keeper) that is just crazy, especially as Oblak is 29 in a year, and for £110m we damn well better get 7 plus years out of him, and how good is he going to be when he is 34, 35, 36yo (he is pretty short (less than an inch taller than Kepa) so not like can rely on size when his relaxes and leaping slow down) Samir Handanovic is 36 and starting to show real age, and 34yo's Manuel Neuer and Kasper Schmeichel are the only other great keepers over 33yo. A Buffon is a true freak. No way is Gimenez or Marquinhos worth 100m Maybe De Ligt is down the road, but not atm. That is it for any players who would be remotely said to be candidates for £100m transfers. Ansu Fati may, may get there, but far too soon to say, same for Youssoufa Moukoko.
  5. we can help fund that golden oldies spend by offering to buy the seemingly now out-of-favour (no idea why) Laporte off them he is WC when healthy, best uncapped player on the planet IMHO, and big (1.91m) a left-footer, and pretty pacey, plus a very decent passer doubt they would ever sell him until he is in his 30's (he turns 27 right after the season ends) cant hurt to ask, lolol hell toss in Jorginho as makeweight, Pep (for some reason) still covets him
  6. I have faith he eventually settles in it is up to Lamps to sort him out position-wise
  7. this is yet another reason why I have been saying we need another winger this coming summer (said we needed one last summer (2020) too, but we had already dropped a shedload of coin)
  8. Mourinho with the pictures when he won the league with Chelsea on the wall in his Spurs office .
  9. Nice 'interested in signing Fikayo Tomori on loan' with defender struggling for playing time at Chelsea https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9047583/Nice-interested-signing-Chelsea-defender-Fikayo-Tomori-loan.html
  10. I would say his career is hanging by a thread, and he certainly is not Chels level plus he is not even eligible to play atm, like you stated
  11. more than one Alisson still out with a bad hip injury VVD done for the season probably Joe Gomez done for the season Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain still injured, has not played since last season. He produced 10 goals (8 goals and 2 assists) in half a season's minutes last year, so not exactly unproductive when he does play. and now this Liverpool sweating over the fitness of striker Diego Jota following knee injury https://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/premier-league/liverpool/liverpool-sweating-over-the-fitness-of-striker-diego-jota-following-knee-injury-39855150.html Liverpool are waiting to discover the extent of a knee injury suffered by Diogo Jota. The Portuguese forward has been in stunning form for Liverpool since signing for the club from Wolves last summer, firing nine goals in 17 appearances so far. Yet he will miss Sunday's game at Fulham due to a knee problem, with club medical staff waiting on the results of further tests before discovering the extent of the problem. Klopp described Jota's injury as 'a knock' in his latest press conference and club officials remain hopeful that he does not require an extended period on the sidelines. His injury will raise question marks over Klopp's decision to pick the striker for Wednesday night's Champions League game against Midtjylland, even though the club had already secured their place in the knock-out stages of the competition prior to kick-off. "You can make changes but you need a few key positions," declared Klopp as he explained his decision to play big names in Denmark. "That's why Fabinho played and the decision for Mo, who looked fine and that's why we didn't take him off. He had no issues." Jota's absence in the hectic month of December would be another hammer blow to Klopp, who is already trying to navigate his way through a challenging season littered with high-profile injuries. The issues inspired former Liverpool midfielder Steve McManaman to suggest Liverpool need to sign defenders in next month's transfer window. "They need to do something about the central defensive area in January, that’s clear,” said McManaman. "They let (Dejan) Lovren go last summer and never replaced him. What you don’t expect is to get two or three injuries in that position. “I don’t know what the finances are at Liverpool, but if you are asking me whether I would bring somebody in during the next transfer window if I had the money to buy a good centre-half, the answer is yes. "If Joe Gomez is out for a significant amount of time and Virgil van Dijk is as well, you have to look at it."

  14. Surprise as player returns to Chelsea due to ‘serious private reasons’ – Loan move cut short http://sportwitness.co.uk/surprise-player-returns-chelsea-due-serious-private-reasons-loan-move-cut-short/ Earlier today, second division Dutch side MVV Maastricht confirmed Chelsea midfielder George McEachran’s loan deal has been terminated. The 20-year-old came up through the ranks of the west London club’s youth system and after spending the second half of last season on loan at SC Cambuur, he returned to the Netherlands on a loan deal in the summer. Frank Lampard’s side agreed a temporary deal with MVV Maastricht for McEachran’s loan move late in the last transfer window. The Blues owned player managed an assist after playing for 100 minutes across three matches in the Dutch second division. MVV surprised everyone today by confirming on their official website that’s McEachran’s season-long loan deal has been cut short ‘immediately for serious private reasons’. McEachran occasionally trained with the English club’s first team when Maurizio Sarri was in charge at Stamford Bridge and was also on the bench during Chelsea’s Europa League win over MOL Vidi in 2018. The U17 World Cup winner with England is yet to make his first team debut for Chelsea.
