  7. so sick of all the yank assclowning ‘Pulisic is too good for Chelsea, he’s being wasted’ – USMNT legend Lalas hails ‘incredible’ talent https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/pulisic-too-good-for-Chelsea-being-wasted-usmnt-lalas-incredible-/1q4r6ys46ggul1x51mmkpxypg0 Fans slate staggering US clip discussing Christian Pulisic as 'LeBron James of soccer' A hilarious viral clip of American fans calling Chelsea's Christian Pulisic one of the greatest players in the world and a "central midfielder" has left fans in hysterics https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/christian-pulisic-american-fans-lebron-25752243 Fans have been left in awe after a video clip emerged of an American TV show where Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic was likened to LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. An American fan attempted to flog a signed Pulisic jersey for around £1,130 on the TV show Pawn Stars as he made some extravagant claims. The clip has since made its way to UK Twitter where English fans have been left stunned at how little supporters back in his homeland knew about the player. While the American is his nation’s youngest ever captain and even won the Champions League last season, regular Premier League viewers will be aware that his level is far below that of Messi’s or Ronaldo’s.
  8. John Terry to return to Chelsea to assist with youth development https://theathletic.com/news/john-terry-to-return-to-Chelsea-to-assist-with-youth-development/R5nBDXRm26Am/ John Terry is expected to return to Chelsea to assist the youth development side of the club. The former defender has been out of work since leaving his job as an assistant head coach at Aston Villa. The Athletic understands he has registered an interest in various vacancies across England’s top two divisions but was politely let down. He recognises that it would be incredibly difficult to land a Premier League job at this stage of his career, but the second tier, he hopes, is very much in his reach. Terry, as it stands, is to return to Chelsea — the club he played for between 1998 and 2017. The 41-year-old has been a regular visitor to Chelsea’s training ground and attended youth matches ever since he left the club in 2017. It helps that his house is just a few miles away from the base in Cobham, Surrey. One source suggests that his close bond with former team-mate Petr Cech, who is now Chelsea’s technical and performance advisor, plus loan technical officer Carlo Cudicini and academy director Neil Bath has helped pave the way for his return. What about becoming a manager? Terry’s yet to be offered a job big enough to satisfy his ambitions. The suggestion from those who know him well has always been that Terry will take his time to pick the right destination. Championship clubs with a low budget have been dismissed in the past. “He wants an exciting project where he will be able to build his own team with sufficient backing,” says an associate with knowledge. Why is he returning to Chelsea? He is preparing to help out players in the lower age groups at Chelsea. It’s understood he will be working away from the first team and with the academy. Perhaps, after completing his pro licence earlier this year, he just wants to stay involved and continue learning until the right opportunity comes up. Is there anything else I need to know? Plenty. For more on Terry and what comes next, The Athletic’s Gregg Evans and Simon Johnson have taken a closer look. Go Deeper below. Go Deeper John Terry – what happens next? Gregg Evans and Simon Johnson
  9. staggeringly poor contractual management so far clown car level
  10. Fatu was, I no longer think this, due to his crazy injuries ter Stegen has saved their ass SO many times lately and if the right number came in they would sell Ronald Araújo, but I can see him edging into the untouchable part, fair enough I certainly would take him here, if AC goes he needs to lose that HORRID blonde dye job, btw, LOLOL
  11. Vlahovic would be the true nightmare as that massively increases the odds that fucking RM ends up with BOTH Mbappe and Håland AND Vlahovic has potential to be almost as good, especially on Citeh
  12. Fati is damaged goods for me anyway Puig for sure they would sell (I do not want him) and I think any I listed would be sold IF a high offer came in I am not interested in any (of those listed) save for de Jong and maybe Dest, and de Jong is too expensive Marc-André ter Stegen Pedri Gavi are all untouchable (and de Jong is borderline there as well, due to price) IF de Jong, Pedri, and Gavi all were out (Covid or injury), and nothing added, this would be the worst Barca side in my lifetime that is why it pisses me off to see them pull in a class player like Ferran
  13. Oh, I never claimed they were viable targets, was ust listing any who even a remote case could be make for Davies seems to regained a lot of his form atm btw and yes, age comes into play for some I do feel confident in saying the first 3 would be an upgrade and likely Mendes too, especially given his age and upside the others are very flip a coin Theo is, as always, my choice
  14. I fucking hate seeing Barca being given a lifeline
  15. I think he could and would bench any of our wingers I do understand the Spain part, as his GF (Luis Enrique's daughter, talk abaut a good way to get Spain NT time, lol) lives in Barcelona
  16. I think we are crazy to not try and scupper that £38m ( a fucking steal) sale of Ferran Torres to Barca from Citeh that kid is going to be special and can play a straight up CF (he is almost 6 1 too, so has good height) if need be he is vastly better than all our other wingers, and I think would be a great option at CF for some games instead of Lukaku (who I am so unhappy with) I am still shocked Citeh are selling him he is only 21yo and yet already has 22 caps and 12 goals (super return rate) for the Spanish Sr team
  17. well, upgrade means you are only talking about a handful of players on the planet maybe 5 Alphonso Davies Andrew Robertson Theo Hernández very soon, if not now: Nuno Mendes and arguably Ferland Mendy (limited offensively though) Leonardo Spinazzola would be in that mix, but he blew out his Achilles that's it atm unless you start tossing in two LMFers who also play LWB Saka and maybe Gosens
  18. big problem is Theo is not available in January
  19. yes, the 1 billion euro renovation has been delayed they are a hot mess Gerard Piqué Sergio Busquets are rinsed, done as top players as is (and has been) that little worm Alba they will sell many players to cover debts de Jong is up for sale. for instance, but will be insanely expensive not that I want any other than him and maybe Dest, but take yer pick, all of these are up for sale Neto Iñaki Peña Ronald Araújo Eric García Clément Lenglet Óscar Mingueza Samuel Umtiti Jordi Alba pure cunt Álex Balde Sergiño Dest Moussa Wagué Frenkie de Jong Riqui Puig Sergi Roberto Nico González Philippe Coutinho Ansu Fati close to being perma wrecked with injuries, massive risk, insane gamble Ez Abde Ousmane Dembélé hell no Yusuf Demir Álex Collado Memphis Depay Martin Braithwaite Luuk de Jong
  20. Glad to see Pulisic's name in the old rumour barrel, even if it is fake news. Bust IMHO. We paid almost £60m for him.
