  1. Willian, maybe, although really can't see how he'd fit, Eto, yes... Five years ago. Feel sorry for zhirkhov, showed such promise when he first arrived here( for £18m I believe, the same amount we paid for shirley) being dubbed "the Russian Ronaldinho" remember him scoring against inter in pre season shortly before he got injured and missed the beginning of the season, possibly affecting his Chelsea career . can't see him joining an elite club now, I may be wrong. Sorry I realise this is going of subject slightly, maybe it's the price tag but can't help drawing comparisons between the 2 players ( yuri + shirley) Hope shirley has a far better start and Chelsea career!
  2. I never really post on here although I read it everyday, obviously Rooney, as you say will sell an awful lot of shirts, he's not exactly a shoddy player! He would certainly help with any possible striker issues we might have, and as time goes on he may be able to drop slightly deeper as we've see this year for utd (as he gets older/improvements come through) he's gonna cost a lot of money obviously, but in terms of the 'greater good' wouldn't be a bad signing in my opinion. Feel free to correct me if you disagree.
  3. s was literally starting to type the same thing.
  4. thought i'd share this, AS ITS AWESOME. apoligies if its been posted previously
  5. Just seen this on twitter "#CFC have offered £36m for Hulk while #PSGsubmitted a bid of £49m, however the striker prefers #CFC. #PSG ready to improve salary package" SOURCE :@ChelsTransfer
  6. http://www.mirrorfoo...icle874525.html "Those players may have succeeded in getting rid of Villas-Boas, as some of them had brought about the downfall of Luiz Felipe Scolari, briefed against Avram Grant. But this time round they are also expendable, responsible, set to pay the price. This time round there will be no second chance. Indeed, however Chelsea respond to the latest bout managerial instability, the die has been cast. Should the players continue to lose, it will only prove they deserve to go. Should they start winning, now that Villas-Boas has left, it will demonstrate they do not deserve to stay" too right
  7. Pretty disgraceful really, gotta feel sorry for him, did the best he could with an inherited team. as some of the papers are saying i think a fair few of the players have to accept at least some responsibility for the clubs current situation. This surely isn't what "football fans" want to see , Chelsea supporters or not.
  8. when i clicked on the top link, the page also showed a picture of new Spain & Germany shirts, which appear to use the template that we see in the Blue/Red/White shirt...... http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll349/Todosobrecamisetas/EUROjerseys.jpg
  9. He's wearing a Valencia shirt in this one.
  10. you're kidding right? what an incredibly ignorant statement
  11. hope this finally is over, also hope barca will now release a 'how to get away with publicly tapping up players over years' book.
  12. haha! did anyone notice, on chelseafc.com, when the yellow and navy background loads, the visible sleeves on the left and right hand sides of the site, had champions patches on launch day and couple of days after that, but now it just looks like badly photoshop'd standard pl badges..... ......i realise this is an incredibly sad thing to notice! lol
  13. just to let anyone who may be interested know, m and m direct are now selling last seasons tech fit short sleeve shirts for 11.99 http://www.mandmdire...064.htm?LID=WG2
  14. its highly likely that at least 3 of them wont be here this time next year, and Lukaku is only 18....
  15. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14221107.stm The deal for the Serbian will be completed on Thursday, subject to the player passing a medical, the Belgian club announced on their website.Anderlecht have confirmed they have agreed a deal to sign Liverpool forward Milan Jovanovic. Jovanovic moved to Anfield from Standard Liege last summer on a free transfer, signing a three-year deal. But he failed to command a place in the Liverpool side, making just 10 league appearances and not scoring. Jovanovic joined Standard Liege in 2006 and helped them win back-to-back Belgian titles in 2007/08 and 2008/09. The 30-year-old, who has also played for Shakhtar Donetsk and Lokomotiv Moscow, made his international debut for Serbia in a 2-0 win over Finland in June 2007 and has won 35 caps. Liverpool, who have spent close to £50m on Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and Charlie Adam during the summer, are looking to offload a number of fringe players in their squad.
  16. http://www.footballtransfertavern.com/2011/08/premiership/quite-frankly-at-15m-the-guys-a-gem-and-boas-knows-it Chelsea boss Andre-Villas Boas has identified French midfielder Yann M’Vila as the ideal replacement for the injury prone Michael Essien, as he looks to bolster his midfield by the start of the new season. Essien has been ruled out of action for up to six months with a serious knee injury, and despite reports suggesting that an attempt to resign Scott Parker on loan was on the cards, The People claims it is the Rennes star man that is now top of Chelsea’s wish list. At just 21, M’Vila has established himself as a key part of the Rennes set up and one of the most consistent midfielders in the French league. Chelsea are expected to complete the signing of Barcelona reserve Oriol Romeu for around £4.5m in the next day or so, however the French international is likely to cost the Blues at least £15m after signing a contract last year keeping him at the French club until 2015. Chelsea have been relatively quiet in the transfer window so far, with Villas-Boas believed to have been keen on assessing the current crop fully before looking at players to bring in. With chief executive Ron Gourlay adamant the club will be making at least two signings over the next week or so, M’Vila has been identified as the ideal immediate replacement for Essien, as well as a player for the future at Chelsea. Chelsea have lacked consistency in previous campaigns where Essien has been ruled out, with the likes of both Mikel and Ramires unable to fill the Ghanaian’s boots adequately when asked. Despite being relatively inexperienced at the top level, M’Vila has proven himself as one of the great young talents in Europe at the moment and is believed to have attracted attention from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham. With the signing of goalkeeper Thibaud Courtois complete and Remou awaiting his medical at the club, Chelsea are also reported to be interesting in signing Adnerlecht forward Romelu Lukaku. It seems that what has often been described as an ‘ageing’ Chelsea side are now looking to youth rather than experience in their attempt to challenge on all fronts and rectify the failures of the last campaign. With the backing of Abramovich behind Chelsea, Rennes will undoubtedly be looking to push the transfer fee above £15m, but if M’Vila is able to replicate the kind of consistency and ability that he has demonstrated in Ligue 1 over in the Premier League, then this kind of fee would be far from outrageous and may even turn out to be a bargain for the West London outfit. Thoughts.......?
  17. will he still qualify as homegrown? thought they would have to play here for 3 years before they were 20. I may be very wrong though!
  18. Di Matteo!!! what a freakin legend !!!!!
  19. in a way i feel it would be a hugely useful signing, considering the age of all our forwards currently, i fear that if we don't sign him it may be one we live to regret, not that thats a fair reason to buy any one, but he clearly does have at least some talent !
  20. http://justchelsea.com/chelsea-sign-portos-falcao/3128 Nothing on chelseafc.com ??? dont know if this is reliable at all
  21. Wasn't sure what to make of him being linked with us over the last few days, but am now really pleased he's been appointed, Glad we have a manager who is hopefully young enough not to be stuck in his ways, and willing to take a risk to find out what works best, kind of as we have done with him! Good luck Andre, Welcome back to Chelsea !
  22. The home and away kits are alright i guess, BUT WHAT ARE THIS SEASONS CARDIGANS GONNA LOOK LIKE !?
  23. totally agree, love this shirt! been looking to buy it for years now!
