http://thechels.net/2011/03/the-chelsea-stadium-move/ - apologies if this has been posted somewhere along the line previously. interesting reading, would be a great shame to leave Stamford bridge, but really now think it is a case of when, not if.

if we do sign a player like sneijder, i think we'll sign someone who dosen't mind being understudy to Lampard for a couple of seasons, can't see Sneijder willing to do that, although would be great to have him here.

http://www.skysports.com/football/transfer_clockwatch/0,23710,14896,00.html The Editor: Reports are emerging that Liverpool have agreed a £35million fee with Newcastle for Andy Carroll. Nothing confirmed as yet but we'll bring you more as we get it. Follow me on Twitter - @skysportsed good sign? also reports that Torres has been granted permission to have a medical at chelsea
-
haha! thats what I was getting at, I certainly hope your right, and we've learnt from previous mistakes! Cant be that long before they do start selling 'em though!
-
I wonder if you can buy Torres shirts from the megastore yet?!.......lol
-
Don't think you could call him a main player in the national team. He's only made one appearance , admittedly an impressive one, but surely with the way the french first team is heading, and with kakuta's performances at the U-19's, don't thhink it'll be long untill he's part of the France squad. Anyway, appearances for national teams don't mean in anyway that a player is superior to another.

Good idea! Especially seeing as bergovic would also count as a homegrown player

Currently in a pub garden overheard a guy talking who was talking about being a cobham groundsman, ( seemed kinda ligit , apparently a palace fan, but was wearing training gear ) asked him about ramires, said he's already been there, which kinda makes me wonder why things apparently seem to be on the go slow. I also told him to tell em to get auguero, he said he'd try!

To be honest, i'm mainly worried about what this seasons team cardigans are gonna look like.

We did, it was rejected by santos. But hopefully we'll be preparing a new one.

Neymar's not leaving Santos! Brazilians confident Chelsea and West Ham target will stay put Santos are increasingly confident they can see off Chelsea and West Ham's interest in 18-year-old wonderkid Neymar. The Brazilians have already rejected a £17million bid from Stamford Bridge and they intend to offer a hefty salary increase to the forward. Neymar Silva, the player's father, said earlier this summer that the initial approach from West Ham was a dream opportunity, but talks with Santos have changed the landscape. The player prematurely compared to Pele has been called up for new Brazil boss Mano Menezes's first squad and Neymar Snr said: 'His dream was to make the national team while playing in Santos - and that objective has been achieved. 'So I think there is no reason to consider leaving the country. Therefore, we will do of everything to keep him here.' It is not much more than six months since Neymar signed a five-year deal at Santos that set his release clause at nearly £30m. However, a stunning run of form and scoring record has attracted interest from across Europe, leading Santos to explore ways of offering him a better deal. The Brazilians covered Robinho's £160,000 a week Manchester City wages by getting sponsors on board and a similar move to exploit image rights has been explored for both Neymar and outstanding team-mate Paulo Henrique Ganso. Ganso is a 20-year-old playmaker who has interested Manchester rivals United and City among others and he is also in Menezes's Brazil squad. Santos president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro has promised a 'surprise' after the team play Vitoria in the Brazilian Cup final. He is preparing a new bid to take Robinho on an extended loan from City and wants Neymar to remain alongside the Brazil star. 'After the Cup final there will be some good news,' he teased. 'We hope to see Neymar and Robinho here for ever.' Read more: http://www.dailymail...l#ixzz0uzwspmcW Aguero anyone?!

would be pretty happy with Ramires and Neymar, or maybe even Lukaku, and loan him back to Anderlecht for a season or so. Things seem to have gone a bit quiet on that front as of recent though.

Hodgson – Torres doesn’t want to stay with Liverpool! Posted on July 25, 2010 by adminThe new Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that he has spoken to the Spanish striker Fernando Torres, and says the hitman is very unhappy with the Liverpool club as a whole, and there is little he can now do to persuade him to stay. Torres has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, or possibly Man City, and the two clubs will certainly be heartened by today’s admission. “Unfortunately, I cannot do much more,” said Hodgson. “His beef is with the club and not me.” “Fernando’s situation has nothing to do with me, he made that perfectly clear over the phone during the World Cup and when I met him face-to-face. “He knows what I would like to do with the club. He knows how much I value him. “But his issues are with what has gone on in the past rather than the future. If he has problems with the club for things in the past, it is difficult for me to dismiss that.” But Hodgson also said that he hoped that Torres would still honour his contract with the club, despite his misgivings. “People forget he is a Liverpool player,” he added. “One year ago he signed a four-year contract. I hope he will commit himself by honouring his contract.” http://justchelsea.com/hodgson-torres-doesnt-want-to-stay-with-liverpool/2363

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/blogs/football-spy/Chelsea-Transfer-news-special-video-Who-do-the-champions-need-to-sign-to-defend-their-premier-league-title-Football-Spy-Files-has-the-answer-article534315.html Football spy video, Chelsea Special - he seems to think there's a better chance of us signing Aguero than Torres now. Dont really know if this is any kind of decent source, but still I hope he's right!

Well you never know, he might say " I don't fancy playing for the champions of England, i'd much rather go and be man citeh's 15th midfielder, and I might even get to play in the 'your-ropey' cup " ! Lol

"Chelsea are reported to have made a bid worth €20million to bring Santos wonderkid Neymar to Stamford Bridge.Yesterday it was claimed that the Blues were close to producing an offer, and according to Brazilian sources today this plan was put into action. Globoesporte claim that Carlo Ancelotti's team have acted after an earlier bid of €15million was turned down by the Peixe. Neymar, 18, has also been a target for English rivals Manchester City and West Ham. All bids for the forward however have so far been rejected by Santos President Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro, who has stated in the past he would not accept a penny less than the player's buy out clause- a hefty €35million.Sources close to the teenager on the other hand have stated their willingness to talk with foreign suitors. Neymar's father Neymar da Silva had declared at the time of West Ham's rejected bid that "it would be a great opportunity for my son, with the possibility of playing for a major European club in such a short time, fighting for the biggest championships and becoming one of the best players in the world". Goal.com but fairly encouraging. http://bit.ly/bOEOCp

I agree, it may have been good its been quiet so far. its Certainly a good thing we haven't publicly named him as a target, other wise as Gianfranco_Z has said, Citeh would have been all over him by now, also according to the FC Santos website we've had a bid rejected for Neymar, so maybe that means were finally gonna get the transfer ball rolling!
-
totally agree with you there, Di Santo has had quite a few chances to impress now in the premiership, and unfortunately hasn't. in a game like today's would have much rather what Borini has to offer.... unless he's off in the U19's. not entirely sure
-
CARLO! GET AGUERO!! THERES 756 POSTS ON THIS FORUM ALONE SAYING WHAT A WELCOME SIGNING IT WOULD BE ! forget Torres, Aguero and Lukaku, surely the future! ..................with more than a bit of Sturridge and Borrini of course!
-
I don't think that's necessarily true, I'd think we'd be his favoured destination. Now Ballack's gone he may see it as a perfect opportunity. Also not very often you see a highly sought after player like Schweinsteiger wearing the shirt of someone like Lampard ( who plays for a team he's been linked with ) out in public for all photographers to see! that may just be wishful thinking however!
-
hope its not true, personally don't think it is. Think things like the Torres rumours would have been totally quashed by now if it was the case. like to hope so anyway !
-
Surely the club must know what a popular signing he would be. I was browsing another chelsea forum yesterday, and they've got best part of another 40 pages all saying the same thing as these! If we miss out on him, I and a whole lotta other people are gonna be gutted!

"Chelsea will swoop for controversial Uruguay World Cup 2010 striker Luis Suarez if they fail to force through Fernando Torres' switch from Liverpool, according to The People. Suarez, 23, followed a sensational 49-goal domestic season with Ajax with threein South Africa. Despite hitting the headlines for his goal-line handball in the quarter-final victory against Ghana, his displays impressed manager Carlo Ancelotti and he could be be set to make a bid if his pursuit of Torres is unsuccessful. Liverpool superstar Torres remains his main target but his injury in the World Cup final, loyalty to the Reds and extremely high price-tag could all prove to be prohibitive. Suarez would be available for half the £50 million Chelsea are prepared to pay for the Spaniard and has recently expressed a desire to come to the Premier League this summer " admittedly it is from goal.com http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2010/07/12/2022309/chelsea-see-ajax-striker-luis-suarez-as-alternative- half the price, and younger, what y'all think ?
