  1. We have cleared plenty of deadwood loanees this season and still have tons left to be shipped. Out of the current set of loanees (as of 2/8/2019), I would only have Dujon sterling, Jake-Clarke Salter, Ampadu and pasalic on our books next year. The rest have no future at the club (morata, moses, musonda, nathan, miazga, baker).
  2. I dont see RLC as a traditional no.10. His main asset is his strength and drive on the ball, rather than his continous movement (aka mount). I feel RLC in a proper no.10 role might be wasted. Just looking at the scoring return of willian and pulisic and relying on them as our no.1 goal scorers will be too much. CHO looks far more of a traditional winger than a second striker. And pedro is way too hit and miss to be given a nod ahead of proven goal scorers like tammy and michy. I am happy that frank is experimenting and trying to get the best formation, but in my opinion, 4-diamond-2 looks to be the worst fit for the current crop of players.
  3. In a position to position analysis Cahill - zouma/tomori Zappacosta - James Higuain - Tammy and batshuayi
  4. I feel diamond should not be played. Our strikers are our biggest shortcomings. Putting 2 of them on the pitch while sacrificing wide players would be redundant. I would rather we play 4-2-3-1. And when RLC comes in, I would hope we shift to 4-3-3.
  5. Why would we risk injuring jorginho and/or kovacic? I am sure these guys are working overtime in the training and learning the new ways. These friendlies and just a way of getting match fitness.
  6. Does not matter. Anything that floats the english media bubble.
  7. Financially it makes sense to sell him for even 10mil โ‚ฌ. I mean we bought him for 25milโ‚ฌ, so he has 2 years left which is 12.5milโ‚ฌ amortized value on the book or 6.25mโ‚ฌ for this season. If he stays we incur 6.25milโ‚ฌ + wages (50,000โ‚ฌ per week) 2.5milโ‚ฌ. Which is around 8.75milโ‚ฌ for this on our books. If we sell him for even 10milโ‚ฌ, and keep Reece, we incur a loss of 2.5milโ‚ฌ + Reece's wages (which can't be more than 1milโ‚ฌ at this moment) = 3.5milโ‚ฌ. hell even if we sell zappacosta for just 5mil, we would be pulling even on how much Zappa is going to cost anyways. I honestly want us to sell the deadwood and be rid of all the players like zappacosta, drinkwater, bakayoko before this season starts.
  8. 5mil? I hope that's a loan fee. Did not we buy him for 20mil?
  9. Needs a change of scenery. Will be nothing but worse than Deadwood here. Mount, Barkley for Cam, Kante, jorginho, RLC and kova for CMs. Should be enough
  10. Reece -- Zappa Willian -- Kenedy CHO -- Palmer RLC -- Drinkwater Ampadu - Loan
  11. He might not view him as a DM/CM. The only 45 mins he played was as a CB where we are already loaded with Luiz, Rudi, andreas, Zouma and tomori. Getting ampadu a loan would probably be the best for him.
  12. Simple point: why would mbappe choose us over lets say, Real madrid. We can sell all of the squad, liquidate the club etc etc, but all of it is MOOT, unless the player himself looks at us as a viable option.
  13. Oh Yes. Forgot that he was a united youth product. Would be a "Homecoming" them.
  14. I hope we keep him. The season can be long, and he is a goal scorer if not anything else. Giroud wont be here after this season, and we will need to buy 2 strikers then. Plus Michy's stock might be at its lowest right now. He really can help us get a lot of extra quids with a half decent season.
  15. If united actually buy him, we should sell them DD for free. As a good will.
  16. Now, if she can sell baka and drinkwater and recoup their fees, THAT would be an out of this world acheivement.
  17. I feel that's what cech's job is. So that such shit buys don't happen.
  18. Mount plays the same position that kovacic did for the majority of the last season season - amf. And I can bet good money that he will atleast start this season in the same position.
  19. I can say the same thing mate. You can keep saying lamps wanted him, does not make it right. Atleast I am not about something with proof which is the last season and infact last 4 seasons of kovacic's rather short career (at the age of 25). You are deriving correlations. "Since this has happened, that must have happened". But we do know that's not how this board works. This is the same board that had us playing a mid season friendly that would have been 4 days before the fa cup final had we been in it. That's the level of this board. Also the delay could have been regarding the fee itself? Was not he touted to be a 30mil buy just before the El final? Maybe we wanted to play the waiting game, and then finally pressed the panic button. As for the latter part of the post, how is mount supposed to get those "chances" to impress when we have players like drinkwater, bakayoko, kovacic blocking his path. Is not that my point anyways? ๐Ÿ˜‚
  20. Most of our transfers happen at deadline day or close to deadline day. Look at our very recent past. It gives absolutely no proof that lamps actually has a say in it. Even a 5 year old following the club would have decided on the same for higuain. Again, how that proofs that lamps was actually involved in beyond me. We are trying to rebuild here. Trying to change the way the club works. And yet, the first signing of the new era smacks about the same shit we have been doing for the past 5-6 years. And of course transfer fee matters, no matter if we are banned or not. I thought the whole point about this new Chelsea was that the likes of mounts/ampadus get their shot. Hard to see it happening when we have a 50mil kovacic blocking their path and providing us shit. Like I said, sorry if I can not be giddy regarding this bang average player. I "HOPE" he proves me wrong too, but I too have seen enough of this boy to know he does not have the talent or literally anything in his skill kit to do that. So I won't be holding my breath over it.
