I don't understand some of the posters here. First they say Ivanovic will be first choice RB next season and if we are after a RB, then it should be a back-up. Then they say they rather have Azpilicueta than VdW, but I think Azpi will want a staring role more than Van der Wiel, so this doesn't make much sense. I would release/sell Bosingwa and Ferreira and buy Van der Wiel, than make Hutch the 3rd choice RB, like Ferreira was this and last season. Ivanovič will probably play a fair share of the games in the CB position, because of the Terry "racist" scandal and injuries to Cahill. I just think that VdW is more likely to accept the back-up RB role than Azpilicueta or Isla and he will only cost 8 million €, which is half the money than Bosingwa was bought for. There are very few good young RB around and I think that Gregory is a good choice (not a perfect choice), because he is an attacking full back who can cross, dribble and also shoot (his goal in UCL this year for example) unfortunately, he is not a good defender, but I would only use him against teams than play defensive and "park the bus" in Stamford Bridge.

I think Ramires played in a 2-man midfield when he was playing for Brasil ... he did a good job with Lucas Leiva and I think he could do a good job if he has a "passing" player next to him. That player could be Mikel or Modrič if we buy him.

Scored 2 goals against Marseille yesterday ... first one was a penalty and the second one was a real beauty (half scissor kick) from the edge of the box. I think he is a very good player and I think he could add something new to our midfield, which is very one-dimensional at the moment.

But I think 35-40mil is too much for Hazard, I mean we got Mata for 24mil and he had more experience in a better league, he was a World Cup winner with Spain and he had more experience in Champions League. I know Hazard is younger and maybe even more talented than Mata, but I think it's too risky to sign him for such a huge fee ... it will only add more pressure on him, like it did with Torres. I think a figure around 25-30mil is much more realistic and anything more than 30mil is too much IMO. If Lille get greedy and ask for more money we should just go for Jovetič or Shaqiri who are less expensive but equally talented.

Out: Anelka, Alex In: Cahill and a young right winger (KDB, Reus, Ilicic, Jovetic, El Shaarawy) I don't think the winter transfer period is the right time for big changes, so I would wait untill the summer to unload players like Kalou, Malouda, Ferreira and maybe Bosingwa and Mikel. We just need a CB to replace Alex and a right winger to replace Anelka, but if a right player for the right price comes along (Modrič, Hazard, Goetze, Cavani, Hamšik ...) I would buy them in January, otherwise I would wait until the summer.
