Cahill has been outstanding again tonight.
-
Great shift by Eto'o. Dat backheel.
-
Matic and Hazard have been brilliant so far.
-
People are watching Wolfsburg games for Ricardo Rodriguez now lol?
-
Why cherry pick those opinions to make him look bad?He won 4 tackles in the Stoke game. More than any other player on the United team, they're talking bollocks. They've been playing the more defensively stable Valencia/Young duo all season song and have still been leaking goals for fun. Unfair to pin United's defensive failures on him alone.

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has told BBC's Football Focus he wants to step up to the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Belgian, 23, has been in brilliant form for the Blues this season, scoring 11 goals in 34 appearances. "These players are the best on the planet," he said of Barcelona's Messi and Real Madrid's Ronaldo. "They score one, two, three goals every game. It's something you've got to aim for - to go up to get to their level." Argentina forward Messi, 26, and Portugal counterpart Ronaldo, 29, have won the last six World Player of the Year titles between them. Hazard for oppositionEden Hazard embarked on 16 dribbles v Man City - no other player in the game made more than six Hazard, who joined Chelsea from Lille in 2012 for a reported £32m, added: "They are obviously top, top level players. "To get to their level, it's a case of working hard every day in training, enjoying myself and expressing myself as much as I can on the football field." Hazard also stated that he is rightly considered as one of the stars of world football. "I'd probably say I'm up there with some of the best, but we've got to realise there are lots and lots of good players in the world," he continued. "What I would like to do is shed the adjective 'young' because that would mean I've crossed that barrier and gone one step further in my career."

There's a difference between criticizing someone's play and outright abusing your own players. Funny thing is if I went around this forum calling the same posters calling Torres these same names, I'd be banned in an instant. It's understandable in the heat of a moment but he's not even playing yet he's still getting it. Anyway it's on the mods to clean up the forum. They'll continue with their mindless trash as long as they continue to allow it. EDIT: "The ridiculous fan support he still gets." BREAKING: FOOTBALL FANS SUPPORTING THEIR OWN PLAYERS SHOCKER

Oscar has his strengths but creativity and vision isn't one of them. No idea why people are so butthurt about it.
-
Ronaldo scores 50 goals a season. Hazard will most likely never be able to match that. It's a lazy comparison. Ronaldo is a lethal goalscorer who has exceptional movement off the ball, Hazard is a wizard with the ball at his feet and prefers to assist.
-
Who's defending Torres here? I mean he's had some standout performances this season ( Bayern Munich, Spurs away, Schalke away, Man City, Southampton away) but obviously (4 League goals) still isn't good enough. The sitter against Sunderland sealed it for me. I'm just saying calling him a cunt, piece of shit and abusing a Chelsea player over and over again is a bit redundant, no? You can pretty much predict what's being said as soon as this thread is bumped. Just because our moronic board overpaid for someone who's suffered multiple injuries, fucked up his knee and was clearly on the wane before he signed doesn't mean he deserves to be called all sorts of names under the sun. Like it or not, he still has a crucial role to play this season. Eto'o, Torres and Ba all get abuse but they all work their bollocks off and play their roles well.

Don't be short-sighted. We almost single handedly rejuvenated Liverpool with the sale of Sturridge, Utd will bounce back like we did when we finished 6th. Anyway, this is a thread about Matic. Let's stay on topic.

So you've never said anything in the heat of the moment? I was having a mini-meltdown at the time because of how stupid it was to sell there, people have said worse. Move on.I love Mourinho I just refuse to worship the ground he walks on like some posters on here. The club won trophies without him and will continue to do so if he left us again. And lol at you replying so quickly couldn't edit the post in time. That post really annoyed me.
-
Only thing I disagreed with Mourinho on was selling him to United. I had no problem selling Mata because it's a waste having a player of his quality sit on the bench all season. And it wasn't solely a Jose victory. Chelsea won, we're not Mourinho FC. So because I don't bum lick Mourinho's arse like you do, I'm automatically not fit to support Chelsea anymore? Going by your logic, since Rafa was in charge at the time, we shouldn't have celebrated Ivanovic's winner in Amsterdam last year.
-
Why do people keep comparing him to Ronaldo? I don't get it. Ronaldo has never been a great dribbler, he's just blessed with amazing pace, power and athleticism. Don't let the flicks, back heels and occasional trick fool you. Ronaldo is a pure forward and goalscorer. Eden is more of a creator with a playing style is reminiscent to Messi except nowhere near as explosive. He has the same combination of lightning acceleration, close control, balance & deceptive strength. Only difference is Messi is a killer, Eden doesn't have the same mentality......yet.
-
Hipster opinion but he reminds me of a more physically gifted Redondo.
-
Just remembered why I blocked you. Fuck off seriously. You're beyond annoying.
-
Fuck Suarez and Aguero, he's the best player in the League.
-
Zola was incredible but he's half the player this lad is. He has the potential to be the best player in the World and he knows it. Completely took the piss tonight only thing missing was a goal. He'll finally get the praise he deserves after that fucking performance and with more responiblity and expectations placed on his shoulders, I think he'll eventually develop that selfish streak he lacks. The move where he stood stationary, did a couple of body feints and back-heeled to Willian, the dribble where he went past 3 players and nutmegged the ref, outmuscling Demichelis and then serving the ball on the platter for Ramires or where he ghosted past Zabaleta like he wasn't there and Eto'o hit the post. He did it all tonight. I think he'll be our best ever player if Madrid don't come calling.
-
Where are the people who were claiming he wasn't needed and Yaya was a better defender? Bargain of the fucking century, £19m is nothing. In terms of pure talent he's easily the best DM in the World. He can do it all.
-
How many crucial goals does this fucking guy score? I feel guilty for wanting him dropped earlier. Monstrous performance, it's impossible to out-muscle him.
-
SIGN HIM UP ALREADY!!!!
-
Never been the biggest fan but he was JT esque tonight. Unreal performance, starting to look more than a backup.
-
Where are the haters? Like I said, these are the type of games he's suited for not against parked buses. Only mistake tonight was not finishing the chance he had but it was a 4v1. Willian could have created an easier chance than that.
-
Very good performance tonight. Maybe his best all 'round game. Held the ball up supremely well.
-
He had a nightmare 30 minutes or so but as soon as Ivanovic scored he was outstanding throughout. Fair play to Luiz.
