I imagine players like Suarez, Ronaldo, Messi & Neymar also suffer the same type of abuse every game. That's why I hardly blame them for diving at times.
-
As great as he's been he needs to release the ball earlier at times. Held onto it far too long during transitions.
-
His positioning and reluctance to shoot is incredibly frustrating. Somewhat glossed over another brilliant performance. Creating for your teammates is fine but every player needs a selfish streak or a killer instinct. Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Ibrahimovic are all renowned for their playmaking ability but they won't turn down a clear opportunity at goal. He's our top scorer and by far our best player this season (excluding our defenders) so no one will have a go at him for having a go. Can't believe Torres wasted that pass. If you're going to be a selfish cunt you have to finish that chance.
-
Hazard has been the difference in this game but his reluctance to get into scoring positions is infuriating. He hasn't taken a shot in like 3 games now.
-
Why has Hazard all of a sudden gone into 3rd gear?
-
There's no excuse for him not be getting a chance. Both Willian and Oscar are hopelessly out of form at the moment.
-
Hazard should be given a go at #10 with Salah and Schurrle either side.
-
Mata could have taken a heavy burden off Hazard these past few weeks. The burden of carrying this limited Chelsea team must be weighing on him heavily both mentally and physically. We're hopeless if he doesn't make a significant contribution or don't score off a set-piece/defensive error it seems.
-
You're delusional and it's hilarious you're still pretending our defensive fragility was solely because of Mata. You seriously don't know what Mata could have done for us? And I'm supposedly the one with the agenda. The 33 goals & 58 assists for us in 2 seasons must have never happened. We've improved defensively because Mourinho has finally decided on his first choice CB's, Azpilicueta has been in godly form and of course the purchase of Matic. We've been great defensively even without Oscar in the team.
-
Knew the Mata sale was going to bite us in the arse. We've basically become a one man team since Oscar lost his form. His influence on games has been practically non-existent since the goals have dried up.
-
Need this man back.
-
I'd start Ba for this game. Scored 2 last week (jammy or not) so will be full of confidence. He might be a better option than Eto'o in away games. It also gives Sammy a rest for Galatasaray.

Cole helped win 2 PL titles for us, I'm not saying Hazard isn't the better player but it's clearly a discussion for now. Cole had 2 great seasons for us and one outstanding one.Amazed at some of history revisionism going on in this thread. Ballack was apparently world class for us from the start, Essien was limited beyond a DM role and now Joe Cole isn't in Hazard's class. We definitely would have won the League in 06/07 if Cole didn't get injured.
-
We're talking about what they did under Mourinho so bringing up the 09-10 season is completely irrelevant. Also anyone who describes Essien as a DM is clearly uninformed. Obviously, he could play that role admirably as emphasized by his performance against Gerrard in the 08/09 CL QF's but he clearly did the most damage in a B2B role. Hazard is better than Cole simply because of his superior intelligence and his physical gifts. I think if we compare their ball skills there isn't that much of a difference between the two. Hazard is brilliant but Cole was destined for greatness as well before injuries completely derailed his career. Shameless plug in. (When I had loads of time)
-
Essien over Ballack easily. It shouldn't even be debatable either. Ballack only came good for us after Avram Grant took over. PF over Ivanovic and FOR NOW...Cole over Hazard too.
-
Should have come on against Tottenham when they went down to 10.
-
Good player but think we could do with someone a lot more mobile and superior defensively. Funny how his status has skyrocketed since he played well against a 10 man Arsenal team though.
-
Bollocks. They have by far the best squad in the League. Garcia & Milner are about the same level Mikel and Ramires are. Dzeko was prolific in the Bundesliga, for Bosnia & has 17 goals in 29 app this season which isn't bad for a 3rd choice.
-
Fucking City. They had one fucking job. We desperately needed that replay. Those wankers are all but guaranteed a trophy as well now.
-
Need a last minute City equalizer. How is Josh doing btw? Suspect not very well by the lack of comments about him.
-
As good as the results have been we're beyond awful to watch at the moment. We're at the point of the season where style hardly matters and only points matter but I don't think I can stomach another season of some of the turgid stuff we've played next year. People will blame it on the strikers but even the 04-07 teams were pretty ordinary to watch aside from Robben aside. I don't think anyone would describe his Inter & Real Madrid teams as entertaining either. Mourinho is one of the best managers of all time but does he have it in him to finally build not only a dominant team but an entertaining side like all the other managerial greats have? That's the only thing anyone can really hold against him. I long for a repeat of the 09-10 season again. Champagne football throughout. We're not far off from the squad to play that style of football either.
-
Spurs are unbelievably shit. They handed this game to us. Villa will give us a tougher game I reckon.
-
Think he'll be here next season but no way will he be a starter. He'll be lucky to get 15-20 starts.
-
5 please.
