You guys do realise no player apart from Messi is perfect right? He was sloppy on the ball today at times but he still got two assists and a goal. At least he wasn't repeatedly caught on the ball like Cesc today. He obviously needs to improve defensively though. He's usually very reliable but was woeful on that end today. Constantly out of position at crucial moments and gave away so many needless fouls.
-
He had two assists ffs.
-
Mikel showing pace ffs. And then taking the piss out of Besic and teaching him how to backheel properly lol.
-
Unreal performance today. He's lethal going forward in a 4-3-3, thought he was awful defensively though. He along with Matic left our back 4 exposed far too often.
-
Linesman/Ref correctly send Howard off for handling outside the box and the game is fucking over. So infuriating.

As a Torres fan for about over 10 years it hurts to see him become a complete laughing stock since he joined us. Hopefully the change of scenery does him good, he was too great a player for his career to end like this. Same thing with Shevchenko really, I can't bring myself to hate either player.

Just scored an unbelievable freekick for Gladbach for his 2nd. Wonderful curling freekick from about 30 yards out after coming on as a sub. BMG won 7-0 LOL (10-3 on aggregate). First was a penalty. If there's one thing he's better than Eden at it's set pieces (apart from penalties). Also think Thorgan has better shooting technique from long distances, can generate power behind his shots even without any momentum.
-
Good debut for Thorgan. Unlucky not to score today (hit the post).
-
He was shit in the first half like everyone else apart from Eden. He was outstanding in the 2nd and was the player that got a foothold on the game. Not Costa, Cesc, Schurrle or Hazard but him. His intelligence to fill in around the pitch when Hazard, Schurrle and most importantly Cesc drift out of position, gives us fluidity. His workrate and defensive ability also gives Fabregas the license to play deeper. Does his defensive work and then gets involved further up. Great curling shot that he was unlucky not to score from and then he played about 3 or 4 brilliant passes into space, most importantly the through pass in the build up to Diego's goal.
-
"Weak link" was the leader and orchestrator of that second half performance. Unlucky not to get a goal.
-
Unreal save by him on that 2nd Nugent chance. He's so good on 1v1's. Easily lol. Ivanovic, Oscar and Hazard also had impressive games. Ivan especially.
-
Da faq did they feed him pre-game? He was like Cafu in his prime today. Unbelievable performance. if only Costa picked him out for that chance, would have capped off a superb game.
-
Ivanovic and Oscar have been absolutely breathtaking in this half. Unreal. COSTA U BEAST!!!
-
Oscar finally woke up. Unreal performance to start this half.
-
Think we need to keep possession much better in the 2nd half. Too much hoofing and long balls.
-
Costa has been shit by the way. Needs to hold the ball up much better in the 2nd half.
-
Getting beat by a brilliant piece of skill ONE TIME doesn't mean he's getting roasted.
-
Sick and tired of Azpi playing at LB. We spent £15m on arguably the best in the World ffs and we're still playing him there. He offers absolutely no width or link-up play on that side.

It's amazing how great a talent Fabregas is. Probably the best teenage player there's ever been apart from the obvious few (Pele, R9). He was dominating the likes of Viera and Zidane at 18 which is absolutely insane. He's got the goalscoring ability of Frank Lampard (70 goals over his last 5 seasons which is better than some CM's career total) & the vision/playmaking ability of a true #10, the likes of Messi, Ronaldinho, Socrates, Rui Costa, Maradona, Riquelme, Laudrup, Zidane etc he's as good a passer as most of those players and in some cases even better. All that's left for him to prove as a player is if he can control and dictate games at the highest levels like greats such as Xavi, Pirlo, Scholes, Matthaus. His current manager certainly believes he can. For someone constantly described as not being a "Mourinho type player" ad nauseam, he's given him the best platform to make the most of his talents unlike Wenger and his boyhood club. He has a wizard in Hazard that will create space for him and pick him out for goalscoring chances, he's got several runners in Costa, Schurrle, Salah etc & most importantly, he's playing alongside workhorses like Oscar, Matic, Ramires that will cover up gaps and negate his average engine. More performances like Burnley yesterday and the accolades & trophies will come.
-
The run in the build-up to Schurrle's goal gets better everytime I see it.
-
Rambo is probably the happiest player after the Fabregas signing. I honestly believe he'll return to the level he was at in the 11/12 season. He was a bit of a square peg in a round hole these past two seasons but with the Matic and Fabregas signings he can finally return to his box to box role. More importantly, having him in the team means there's yet another runner for Cesc to pick out.
-
MY BOY!!! Call me crazy but I honestly believe he could be as good as Muller in a year or so. Most eyecatching today was how confident and composed he was on the ball. He'll get at least 20 in all comps easily!
-
He's so fucking good. Easily the best passer in the World. Thought he was very good defensively as well although playing with Oscar and Matic helps relieve pressure on that end.
-
He'd be far and away the best RB in the World if he was more comfortable on the ball. Not saying he needs to play like Lahm or bomb down the flanks like Ashley Cole in his prime but a little more composure on the ball to help retain possession would be helpful.
-
Thought he had an excellent first half. Is Jose trolling him by the way? We sign arguably the best LB in the World and we're still playing Azpi out of position. Was eagerly looking forward to their partnership tonight.
