  1. Lol, I can't believe Belgium are going to waste away their best ever crop of players. It's pretty damn obvious they're going nowhere with Wilmots. They've shown zero evolution as a team under him.
  2. Bale makes up for his lack of skill with his goals, pace and crossing ability.
  3. The fuck? Frank Lampard, Xavi, Drogba, Ibrahimovic etc beg to differ.
  4. It hasn't nothing to do with this game alone. His performances in the CL were why he was so highly rated before he came here. He's yet to show any of that for us. He was a £30m player for a reason.
  5. lol. The repetitive bile being spewed in this thread is making me to want Hazard to move to Madrid.
  6. Every aspect of his game is World Class apart from his shooting. He doesn't need to score 40 goals, no one asked that of Iniesta, Xavi and Zidane.
  7. Exactly. He's playing at an insanely high level now, which is all we've asked for. Wonder if Iniesta or Zidane would be rated in this era. He's not going to be stuck on -10 goals all season. He'll score 15-20, which is still incredibly high for a midfielder.
  8. Tired of people talking about his finishing after every game. He's World Class regardless, just appreciate the player.
  9. I remember Lampard couldn't finish his dinner in the first half of that season, that was the time period he was chasing Jimmy Greaves goal record. I remember he missed a crucial pen against City at the Etihad too.
  10. He just lost his place in the team with that piece of play. Azpi starts on Saturday.
  11. Remember Lampard in 09/10? Just 6 goals in his first 28 games and that ended up being his highest scoring season in his career (27 goals). Lets hope for something similar with Eden.
  12. It's a shame Hazard fucked up that pass. Was that his best ever in a Chelsea shirt?
  13. He was average today but he still should have gotten a game winning assist if the linesman didn't incorrectly flag him offside.
  14. He was miles ahead of everyone on the pitch today but the penalty and sitter he missed will mar his performance. Everything about his game is a level beyond his previous two seasons but his finishing has actually deteriorated. The chance at Old Trafford and the one today are his bread and butter.
  15. Cesc by far. De Bruyne's aren't great. His crossing in open play is immense though.
  16. Any gif of that goal? He made it look so easy......
  17. Scary thing is he's doing it without a striker.
  18. This forum overrates him so much. Oscar is clearly by far the superior player, even his crosses are much better.
  19. Pretty boring game apart from that wonder goal from Oscar. Playing in 3rd gear and the atmosphere is ridiculously piss poor for a London derby.
  20. Yeah, I agree with you. Eden is a phenomenon, a prodigiously gifted player that was always destined for greatness, same thing with Neymar and the rest of their ilk etc. It would be unfair to judge other players on the same progression scale. I'm not saying he isn't talented I just don't think he's particularly agile, skilled (dribbling) or strong to compensate for his small frame. He wouldn't be in competition for a starting spot with Traore, Hermann, Hahn, Raffael and Johnson if that wasn't the case. The level of competition he would be facing at Chelsea is far greater than that group. Keep in mind this is based on about 3 games I've seen so far.The few Gladbach fans I know think he's a superstar in the making that will/could be eventually be worth as much as £20m-£25m.
  21. Box-to-box?!?!? No chance, Thorgan is just as weak as Mata is on the ball. Can't see him making it here to be honest. Doesn't have his brothers strength or skill That's not to say he won't become a good player but I doubt it will be here especially under Jose.
  22. The way people on here calmly dismiss youth players before they've even gotten a chance never fails to amuse me. He's scored 32 goals in his last 2 seasons but apparently that's not good enough to start against a 4th division team. Chalobah was always overrated so I don't get the comparisons.
  23. Another game where a 36 year old is outperforming 90% of the players on the pitch. I don't know if this speaks volumes of Drogba's talent or a sad indictment on our supposedly strong squad. 3 goals in a week. Not bad. Are the idiots slagging him off when he was short of fitness going to hold their hands up?
