Our problems in the 2nd half of the season were. 1. Lack of rotation in the 1st half which led to fatigue. 2. Jose's reverting to defensive tactics at the first sign of adversity (5-3 vs Spurs) 3. Oscar disappearing for months players with unpredictable ability to revolutionize a match and Arda Turan is perfect for this. Maybe his stats are not the best in the world, but Xavi Hernandez or Iniesta do not have good statistics and are the best in the world in midfield. Turan can solve one of our big problems.Except Arda Turan offers us nothing different. He's a slower version of Willian, he's hailed for his defensive nous & ball carrying ability but he's not an X-factor type player or match-winner. He doesn't possess Hazard's 'chaos factor' & doesn't get goals/assists. No offense but I genuinely cannot believe you compared Turan to Xavi who had 9/30 assist season in his prime. Iniesta's lack of end product would've been a problem if he didn't play alongside Messi & consistently raise his game in the bigger matches. Arda also works for the team as the best. A player with a capacity of sacrifice unbecoming of a player of his quality.Workrate only gets you so far. We need quality not more grafters. Arda Turan would be a great signing. One of the few different players available on the market.What we need is a technically gifted goalscoring winger that exploits space. Jose has tried (and failed) with Salah & Schurrle but it's clear as day that's the one major profile our team lacks. We have far too many ball to feet players. It's one of the biggest reasons why we're such an awful counter attacking team, Arda won't solve that problem.

Because the few AM's better than him are clearly unattainable. I'd rather stick with him for at least another year & see if he can maintain consistency over an entire season than flogging him out the club because he isn't as good as Hazard. Hell, I've critiqued Oscar's flaw even while he was still loved pre-Mata sale. I've just grown increasingly defensive over the past year or so because of the outlandish & unfair **** said about him & his rise to the club's scapegoat after Torres left. Alot of our fans genuinely believe he lacks any talent whatsoever which is ridiculous. Oscar has pulled off some things over the past couple of seasons that Hazard can't even dream of.

No he isn't. Oscar is better, not even close. Saying "that's a given" doesn't make it true. Hell, I'd take Willian over Turan as well & I'm one of his biggest critics. Clearly isn't anything in this rumour, 28 year old midfielder that lacks pace, doesn't score or assist often.

If Rakitic can play for Barcelona, the infinitely more gifted Paul Pogba can. Don't really get the Ibra comparisons, two vastly different characters & players.

£12m is a good price for a player that doesn't fit the Mourinho mould & will clearly never a get a chance. Sell while his value is still high rather than sending him out on loans to obscure clubs & derails his career.

He's so gifted. He just glides around the pitch & has that Yaya Toure like ability to exploit gaps in the middle of the pitch. Easily our best prospect since JT. Hope he's loaned to a PL club next season.

Nowhere near Chelsea quality. The gulf is ability between him and RLC was staggering. He had potential as a CB but his career as a top flight player is all but over since he & the club decided he was apparently good enough to be a midfielder. I knew he wasn't Chelsea quality after the 2013 Play-off final & this was the final nail in the coffin. We should sell while he still has any value.

Regardless he's still a Milan legend considering he's arguably the best midfielder to ever play for them.
