  1. We would've been better off if he had just stuck to his guns & joined Tottenham. Both KDB & Mata would probably still be at the club rotating with Oscar & we wouldn't have to hear this workrate nonsense ever again.
  2. No offense, but you plain & simply don't understand football if you don't think Oscar wasn't a massive miss yesterday. Unlike most number #10's, he can build. We missed that immensely yesterday with Willian playing centrally. We almost ALWAYS play awful football whenever he doesn't play. Forget results for a minute, we need him if we don't want to be a complete eyesore.Unlike every other player on our team he has great synergy with our best players. He has a fine understanding with each one of Eden, Cesc & Costa. Can't say that for any of our other players.Key to our pressing gameSet pieces.. Seeing Willian, waste set piece after set piece yesterday made my toes curl. He's our form player.
  3. Is this the biggest signing in our history? It definitely feels that way for me. No pressure, Baba.
  4. Disagree. Piss poor start will ignite some signings imo.
  5. It isn't surprising Eden was much improved in the 2nd half once we started playing football. There's a common misconception about him being a counter-attacking player which is far from reality. He loves getting as much touches of the ball as possible & combining with teammates. Put him in a team like Barca, Madrid, City, Arsenal, Bayern, PSG & he'd go up about 2/3 levels.
  6. He was at the heart of our two best chances (the wrongly disallowed Ramires goal & the chance he obviously should've scored from). Ridiculous to kneejerk because of one missed chance as if the MoTM didn't miss about 4/5 better ones. Football fans are so fickle.
  7. We need a proper replacement for him. We're absolutely shocking whenever he doesn't play. It's been going on for ages now, glad more & more people are catching up. Willian isn't the answer.
  8. I'd give up my unborn baby boy to bring David Luiz back to this club. We've been gash in big games since he left.
  9. Thing is, had Ramires wrongly disallowed goal stood or Hazard scored. We would probably be talking about a 1-1 draw right about now. Football, eh?
  10. The one & only silver lining about this terrible start is there's still more than enough time for improvement. Despite conceding 2 in the 2nd half I thought it was a much improved performance from the 1st. Getting battered in embarrassing fashion should trigger some panic buying in the closing weeks of this month. Awful start to the season but with some much need signings & as players improve their fitness after a ridiculous late start to the season should give us more than enough time to recuperate. Tell you what, I wouldn't want to be in Mourinho's shoes right about now. He's going to get absolutely battered by the press after today & he only has himself to blame.
  11. Mourinho is going to get absolutely destroyed after today.
  12. The absolute state of Ramires. Which other top tier team would be giving this guy heavy minutes?
  13. Incredible performance by Pellegrini & City. I'd give my right arm & leg to play this way.
  14. Our fans actually think WIllian is a top class #10 HAHAHA
  15. All that "take pressure off the players" nonsense gets thrown out the window if we lose today. Knives are already out after this latest episode & rightfully so. There was no need to drag two professionals into his childish rants which ultimately led into the Sun's latest disgusting headline story about Eva. A win kills off the impending crisis stories & all of this is eventually forgotten. A loss would be a disaster for his job. I wouldn't place the blame on us being hated solely on Mourinho though. Both our fans & players have done tons of stupid shit in the past to place us in that position. Neither Madrid or Inter were truly hated imo, different matter altogether with us for several obvious reasons
  16. Everton have 3 special talents in Lukaku, Barkley & Stones.
  17. Yearly reminder that but for Moyes, Wayne Rooney would've been a Chelsea player instead of Diego Costa. Our club has a worrying obsession with strikers clearly past their physical prime.
  18. Have to say I was completely wrong about him. I thought he was another Willian or even worse, Cuadrado. Clear as day he's a level above both.
  19. Cracking goal. Looks better than Brown.
  20. Interesting that Vitesse are playing him as the deepest midfield almost like an Alonso/Carrick type player. Will be interesting to see how he develops in that role over the entire course of the season. Had a great game today apparently.
  21. Roma are going to be fun to watch this year. Salah & Dzeko will tear the League apart. More signings still to come apparently.
  22. Yeah, I'm not buying that Oscar "injury" either. Seems way too convenient, further strengthens my thoughts if he makes the bench on Sunday. EDIT: I wouldn't mind using another Luiz in big games alongside Matic which was scarily effective. The difference is Zouma isn't David Luiz. Technique, passing, pace, stamina etc isn't there. He just offers physicality in abundance.
  23. If playing good football doesn't matter only results, why watch the game at all then? Why not skip the unnecessary 90 minute charades & just read the final score on BBC? We literally haven't played a great game since Swansea away last season, friendlies included. It's a valid concern for me. Players like Hazard, Fabregas, Oscar need the ball, they aren't built for counter-attacking tactics. Btw, it's hilarious how whenever fans complain about our style, Arsenal is always brought up. Why not Barca, Madrid, PSG or Bayern who are light-years ahead of us in both style/results instead?
