He's completely devoid of any confidence right now & opposing managers know it. He's a walking corpse out there & we're practically starting games with 10 men. I understand managers backing their players but this is just ridiculous. He's playing with fire if Ivanovic is still starting come Sunday up against Sanchez/Walcott. Look Costa simply isn't WC by any stretch of the imagination. I couldn't care less about his goal record, Mario Gomez also had an insane record a few years ago as did Huntelaar. You say he didn't get any chances but I remember Hazard & Ivanovic putting him through in each half & him making a complete mess out of it. Unless he's spoonfed he usually doesn't score. World Class strikers can create their own chances for themselves & others. Costa can't. He gets regularly bossed by defenders that can match his overrated physicality as well. None of that aggro nonsense works in England. Would Barca, Bayern or Madrid sign a footballer like Diego Costa? We all know the answer. This is a World Class striker. Zero goals yet still put in an elite performance.

Klopp is just coming off a season worse than the one we're currently having. I'm not convinced. Ancelotti gave McEachran, Bruma & Kakuta chances. None of them were good enough.

Coutinho isn't close to Neymar & Hazard's talent level. He's a good dribbler but so are Bolasie & Victor Moses. He's literally only rated because of that & his 1/15 shot attempts. Definition of a highlight reel player. Looks nice but he's extremely inefficient. Just avoid this thread once Oscar returns from injury & our form magically improves. To be honest I just don't see how we can win this game. Both defenders & forwards are woefully out of form. Even if we score an early goal, no way our defence holds Everton out. Factor in the energy that will be surging through Goodison with everyone from the owner to tea lady feeling slighted by us it seems nigh on impossible to win. It's going to take a one man show from one of our star players to win this game & the only one capable of it hasn't put in a truly great performance since he won the PoTY awards. Coutinho probably won't even make the next Brazil squad lol. Oscar is the undisputed starter. Lucas Lima & Rafinha also impressed in the recent friendlies which might mean the end of Coutinho in a Selecao shirt for the time being at least.

Ivanovic will start so that gives us at least a 2 goal deficit. We're going to need 3 goals minimum to win this one.
