This is always the case with Mata in big games. Mata on the left wing is fine against the inferior sides but in big games, he needs to be played in the middle. Whenever he was moved to the middle due to tactial changes in a big game, he was our main man. He's not a winger.

He started off great in his first few months at Juve but then just faded away. He's very fast and pretty good on the ball but he seems to lack imagination and intelligence. Mehh Robben is a pure winger and his game is based far more on skill than CR and Sturridge. CR and Danny both make up for average/poor performances by scoring a goal all of sudden.

Some points: - We rely too much on Mata to create something. - Sturridge needs to learn not to dribble so much and to keep it more simple. - Drogba really needs to be more of a presence in the box And this is what's annoying about Mata's drifting, we lack a threat from the left wing.. The main reason why I'm hoping for a left winger so Mata can move into the middle, the area where he spends most of his time anyway.

Busquets plays at CB a lot, especially before Masche moved to Barca, and he does a decent job most of the time. Can't imagine him as a CB at any other team though.
