  1. Waste of immense talent. His attitude is terrible.
  2. 80,000 a week for Gary Cahill.. please let it not be true.
  3. He's simply too good and his consistency is out of this world.
  4. Benzema is turning into a f*cking phenomenon, what a player.
  5. He looks absolutely terrible in a Man Utd shirt. And looking at it makes me sad. Like others have said before, it would be heart-breaking. This will never happen though so there's nothing to worry about.
  6. Haha Lamps did nothing before he scored. Thank you Lamps! Thank you Cech!
  7. We celebrated a goal against Wolves like we won the World Cup haha, says a lot really.
  8. Romeu is only a option for the DM spot, which is filled by the world-class 23-year-old Busquets. Unless he somehow manages to surpass him, he won't be a regular. So unless he would be content with such a role, it would be a bad move by him. Though It's possible Barca would move him to CB..
  9. Wait what? We should be happy about that?
  10. The thing with Cahill is we don't have to play him a lot or anything, just in case of injuries/suspensions/fatigue (unless he does well), Bruma, however, would need to play to develop. Cahill is not Terry's replacement, he's back-up. We actually had to play Bosingwa in the centre because just two CBs were out injured..
  11. And what I'm saying is that with a back-up role, it will take years and years for him to develop. He needs regular football if we actually want him to become a worthy succesor to Terry, who's got two years max left. And that's why a back-up role is ideal for someone like Cahill who we don't expect to become a world-class player and will do at least a decent job when called upon as Bruma develops and hopefully reaches the level we hope he will at HSV. I do agree with the fact that we've been ripped-off but I do wonder how you're not used to it yet . We will always pay too much for players because of the obvious.
  12. Bruma is not ready for Chelsea. We all know about the high demands of being a CB for a top side. You have to deal with a lot of pressure, have to be consistent and you're not allowed to make mistakes (look at the treatment D. Luiz and Koscielny received). Bruma's talented for sure but not ready. He's doing well for HSV but still isn't good enough and most importantly, he lacks experience (crucial for a CB, how many CBs in their early 20s have a starting spot for top side? Pique was the only exception.). This is his first year he's been playing regularly at top level and at HSV he's allowed to make mistakes and plays with little pressure, compared to the pressure at Chelsea. He'll need at least two years of regular football before he's ready to play regularly at Chelsea, if he keeps improving, and by that time Terry's time as certainty in the starting line-up will be over. Look at the likes of Evans, Smalling and Jones. Evans has been in the Utd squad for a long time and he's almost 24. He's still not ready. Smalling, 22, is (very) talented but he's not ready for a starting spot either. And Jones is probably the most talented but he's been playing at RB and CM a lot more than CB as he's not of the minimum required level yet. Or what about Djourou, almost 25, at Arsenal. He was always seen as a big talent but whether he'll even make it at Arsenal is something to wonder about. The arrival of Cahill doesn't mean the end of Bruma at all. That all depends on the development of Bruma.
  13. Good news. Would make an excellent back-up and at 26, who knows how much he'll grow.
  14. Essien and Ramires are different players tbh, the only thing they share is their work-rate. But yeah, I too wasn't excited when he joined but he's made a big impact. Good for him and now the curse of the Chelsea #7 is gone. Only #9 is left..
  15. This is always the case with Mata in big games. Mata on the left wing is fine against the inferior sides but in big games, he needs to be played in the middle. Whenever he was moved to the middle due to tactial changes in a big game, he was our main man. He's not a winger.
  16. Haha you've been here long enough to know that's not true. Drogba always gets abuse (from at least a few people) if he's poor.
  17. Unless Sturridge scores a hattrick every game in the middle I don't understand why we would sacrifice the goals we get regularly from a non-striker.. EDIT: I now realise you're referring to the fact that Drogba will be away for the AFCON.
  18. Classic die-hard performance by our captain .
  19. Those are the kind of players that bring you European succes though. They don't do it on their own but are the main men. We really need some magic, Mata can be that player but he needs better, mostly right types, support.
  20. He sucks at tracking his marker though. Let's hope he's gives his all to challenge Romeu. Damn King is playing. Their defence is a mess without him. Hope Drogba's fired up.
  21. It's never boring supporting Controversea F.C. is it .
  22. He started off great in his first few months at Juve but then just faded away. He's very fast and pretty good on the ball but he seems to lack imagination and intelligence. Wouldn't mind him joining as a squad player at all if he ne's not too expensive as he's better than Kalou. But he's not the enforcement we're looking for imo, we should still go for someone like Hazard for the left wing.
  23. If that's true then there are some true idiots out there who apparently know little about football. But it doesn't even matter what fans on a forum say. Except for the manager, only the media can actually get to a player and there's no way a young (English) player would receive stick if he didn't perform after coming on. Even if he was playing reserve football, it wouldn't have mattered. He outgrew that level of football a long time ago.
