  1. You mean our defence is shit with Bosingwa.
  2. It lacks world-class players to be the best imo, filled with great potential throughout though, but it is a very enjoyable league. I have been following the league more and more and it's very entertaining. If only Dortmund didn't lose Sahin.. they could've become a top team with Reus joining in the summer.
  3. It's not a bad thing but like Spike said, it's a bonus and we lack pace in our side. There are plenty of fast players who turn out just fine even though they lose their speed btw (Giggs, Figo, Maradona, Ronaldo etc.). Walcott just lacks intelligence and technique and Owen would still be a quality striker if it wasn't for his terrible fitness really.
  4. Sadly he's not really fast, kind of Mata-ish.
  5. What was Mourinho thinking.. starting with 7 defenders and 3 attackers. No Ozil or Kaka to connect defence/midfield with attack. Pepe should be commited. Even Carvalho and Xabi were just kicking around.
  6. That was hilarious, worst defender in the league.
  7. I agree, good signs. Wonder how much pace he'll recover. And he needs his engine.
  8. I never said we couldn't afford it? But when you think about the fact that Drogba is on 100k a week, a contract he signed when he was still one of the best strikers around (also taking into account that attackers always get paid a lot more money), and read Cahill will receive 80k week, it doesn't seem right to me. You don't have to agree with me but that's just how I feel.
  9. Stressed out, nahh. Sorry for actually caring about our club making sane financial decisions, kind of worrying we can only attract a player of the calibre of Cahill for such wages (at least, so it seems).
  10. Waste of immense talent. His attitude is terrible.
  11. 80,000 a week for Gary Cahill.. please let it not be true.
  12. He's simply too good and his consistency is out of this world.
  13. Benzema is turning into a f*cking phenomenon, what a player.
  14. He looks absolutely terrible in a Man Utd shirt. And looking at it makes me sad. Like others have said before, it would be heart-breaking. This will never happen though so there's nothing to worry about.
  15. Haha Lamps did nothing before he scored. Thank you Lamps! Thank you Cech!
  16. We celebrated a goal against Wolves like we won the World Cup haha, says a lot really.
  17. Romeu is only a option for the DM spot, which is filled by the world-class 23-year-old Busquets. Unless he somehow manages to surpass him, he won't be a regular. So unless he would be content with such a role, it would be a bad move by him. Though It's possible Barca would move him to CB..
  18. Wait what? We should be happy about that?
  19. The thing with Cahill is we don't have to play him a lot or anything, just in case of injuries/suspensions/fatigue (unless he does well), Bruma, however, would need to play to develop. Cahill is not Terry's replacement, he's back-up. We actually had to play Bosingwa in the centre because just two CBs were out injured..
  20. And what I'm saying is that with a back-up role, it will take years and years for him to develop. He needs regular football if we actually want him to become a worthy succesor to Terry, who's got two years max left. And that's why a back-up role is ideal for someone like Cahill who we don't expect to become a world-class player and will do at least a decent job when called upon as Bruma develops and hopefully reaches the level we hope he will at HSV. I do agree with the fact that we've been ripped-off but I do wonder how you're not used to it yet . We will always pay too much for players because of the obvious.
  21. Bruma is not ready for Chelsea. We all know about the high demands of being a CB for a top side. You have to deal with a lot of pressure, have to be consistent and you're not allowed to make mistakes (look at the treatment D. Luiz and Koscielny received). Bruma's talented for sure but not ready. He's doing well for HSV but still isn't good enough and most importantly, he lacks experience (crucial for a CB, how many CBs in their early 20s have a starting spot for top side? Pique was the only exception.). This is his first year he's been playing regularly at top level and at HSV he's allowed to make mistakes and plays with little pressure, compared to the pressure at Chelsea. He'll need at least two years of regular football before he's ready to play regularly at Chelsea, if he keeps improving, and by that time Terry's time as certainty in the starting line-up will be over. Look at the likes of Evans, Smalling and Jones. Evans has been in the Utd squad for a long time and he's almost 24. He's still not ready. Smalling, 22, is (very) talented but he's not ready for a starting spot either. And Jones is probably the most talented but he's been playing at RB and CM a lot more than CB as he's not of the minimum required level yet. Or what about Djourou, almost 25, at Arsenal. He was always seen as a big talent but whether he'll even make it at Arsenal is something to wonder about. The arrival of Cahill doesn't mean the end of Bruma at all. That all depends on the development of Bruma.
