  1. You could've put more effort in your post imo..
  2. He must have complete control in his home. I can imagine the fights with his wife. She yells at him, he starts licking his teeth, she leaves the room.
  3. Agree with him not comparing to Ronaldo and Messi but Bale? No way. I would've agreed if you said Suarez or Robben. Bale is a better goal-scorer, definitely. It's also a huge part of his game, he's always looking to score goals. Hazard has a completely different style. He's a lot better in the build-up that leads to goals. Looking to create rather than look to score himself. But Bale also has the tendency to disappear. It would be unfair to compair their stats because of the huge difference in quality and effenciency in the final third between Chelsea and Real Madrid. I know those who create tend to get (a lot) less credit than those who score but someone who sees him on a weekly basis should recognize his quality. Goal-scorers have it easier. You don't play well, Bale in the CL final for example, but he scored. All is well. Hazard doesn't play well for Belgium but he does create the winning goals. All is not well.. Let's not go too far with the expectations for Hazard. He's definitely already up there with the very best. Bale, Neymar, Hazard and Reus are all on a similar level. Reus has a slight edge imo as he's just brilliant in all parts of the game. (Neymar's absolutely amazing for Brazil though)
  4. I highly doubt Costa will reach the level of the likes of RVP, Suarez and Aguero in his first season. So if you're expecting that, you will most likely be disappointed. He's good but they're better. He would have to make steps and grow. Kind of like Suarez did at Liverpool. But I do think he'll do well. And if he doesn't... well then he'll join the highly prestigious Chelsea striker graveyard.
  5. Ohh Costa. No confidence at all. Second time he waited too long to strike.
  6. Only joking WHS. I actually support the signing and think he'll do well at Chelsea. But he does have one big weakness, he loses the ball very easily. Even at Atletico.
  7. Costa looks awful haha. The striker curse has already got to him.
  8. Nice save. All is well as long as he performs. Can't wait for next season.
  9. This is what I'm looking forward to the most. His long passes are among the very best in the game. This has been and always will be Cesc's specialty. I've read so many comments saying how he's better as a 10. Absolutely not true. Fab is at his best right in the centre of the pitch. There he can receive the ball away from the crowded area, play it forward and join the attack from deep/making late runs. Even when he was playing as a 10 on paper, he would constantly drop deep. He's too slow (not physically, but mentally) for a true 10 and isn't the greatest at holding the ball in tight spaces. He can play there but he's simply not as good in that role. Fab likes to take his time on the ball, unless he spots a runner, and is much better coming at players. His style never suited Barca. He has always been so direct in his play and in his passing. He always wants to play it forward and reach the goal as quickly as possible. And Barca are anything but direct. And as for him being (physically) slow.. I find his lack of pace exaggerated but fair enough, he's not the fastest of players. But as the video above shows, the ball will always be faster than the players. I'm also convinced he'll surprise plenty of people on the defensive side on his game. He's very decent in this aspect and not nearly as bad as some make him out to be.
  10. Fabregas, Hazard and Diego Costa. Chelsea have regained their fear factor everybody.
  11. I think Mourinho should take note of City and Liverpool against the smaller sides and go with two strikers. Both City and Liverpool benefited massively because of the presence of two strikers. Willian - Fabregas - Matic - Hazard Costa - Lukaku There's no need for three-man midfield against sides that just sit back and give you all the opportunity to play until you reach the final third. Centre-backs aren't used to 1v1 situations because they usually face a lone striker so most really struggle when they are in such a situation. And luckily, both Costa and Lukaku aren't lost if they find themself in wide/wider positions. I would absolutely love to see that but I doubt that will be the case.
  12. That's what I was thinking. But I just found out he's been divorced for a while. Must be nice to get a fortune for doing nothing. But 15 years though Fabregas. Meeting the parents must've been fun.
  13. 15 years? Not so sure about this transfer anymore. He'd probably seduce Roman's woman. Edit: Never mind, didn't know he was divorced.
  14. No, not Torres.. That's it, he'll never leave.
  15. Thought I'd quote this again for those who missed it. Thanks Choulo. Something did seem wrong about those 'quotes'. The English media have been trying to make it seem Courtois and Lukaku, the most high-profile loanees, are very keen to leave for such a long time. I'm surprised so many people jumped the gun so quickly.
  16. Mehh.. Deco, Sneijder and Ozil were all crucial to his other teams.
  17. Decent but nothing special, even in his Arsenal days. Like you, one of my complaints was a lack of of goals from set-pieces. Mata's departure also meant a cut of roughly 15 goals in a season (not all ending up in direct assists for Mata of course). Fabregas would make the team a lot more dangerous from open play though.
  18. Costa wasn't the team's goal-scorer in 12/13. And I have to say, 10 goals and 7 assists in 24 starts is more than decent considering the circumstances (first year at Atletico, playing in different positions). And since we're going by statistics, 10 goals and 4 assists in 15 starts for Rayo Vallecano in 11/12. Not too shabby. I have a good feeling about this guy. He's had an interesting journey to the top. Seems like he's constantly had to prove himself. And more importantly, he's more than a goal-scorer. Think he'll do fine.
  19. 08/09, Lamps truly carried the team that season. He was amazing even when the team was seriously struggling.
  20. Aren't they the worst? They actually think they're a special bunch of people with superior knowledge. Most of the time it's just funny but it's times like this I realise I really can't stand them.
  21. One final time then.. Frank Lampard > Steven Gerrard
  22. Why does he have to be the so-called 'Lampard replacement'? If the club wants to buy Fabregas, it's because they think he will strengthen the team. Whether you agree with that or not is a different thing. This has nothing to do with Lamps.
  23. Possibly Costa, Fabregas and Luis in one summer. That would be the best transfer window ever.
  24. Definitely. He's a 'child of Arsenal', a true fan and only cares for Arsenal and all that crap. They actually believe that. This is business.
