I think if the Eurozone wasn't there to keep us in this "walking dead" state we'd probably go begging to the US and they'd have done pretty much the same. Back to the Arab states, if those revolutions trigger a chain reaction they along with the whole MiddleEast will get out of their Dark Ages sooner than expected.

I actually wonder whether it will affect some European states. The way I see things there really is not way up for the PIIGS in the foreseable future and eventually desperation may lead to revolutions.

The old puppet governments will be replaced by new puppet governments or else the countries will be isolated. Sure more freedom in the Arab world is a step in the right direction but you gotta question the freedom that the people of the west enjoy.
