He's disproved the need for competition this season. If anything we desperately need a 2nd choice goalkeeper (Hilario and Turnbull were and will always remain 3rd choice) for the cup games and in case Pete picks a knock.

I can see him getting a lot of stick in the future. Some football fans believe the game is about running around like headless chickens. Thus they are quick to resort to blaming commitment or determination once their team loses, instead of things that win you football matches at this level. Torres is a classy player and (unfortunately) they rarely waste their energy running around because they simply don't need to. He'll certainly get much flack for that in the future.

That's what our January transfer window was about. If our manager fails to have us finish above the likes of Tottenham there will be absolutely no way to defend him.

I'd be willing to talk about it before the Liverpool game, now it's just a knee-jerk reaction as this man has been our player of the season and one mistake won't erase all his world class performances.

It's definitely nothing emotional. The best thing about Ancelotti is that when his tactics work, the football we play is fucking brilliant. Scoring for fun and dominating games like we never did. For that I believe he deserves a proper chance to build his Chelsea, and as we all know 16 Oufield senior players for a team competing in 4 competitions is not a proper chance.Then again his annoying tendency to highlight his many weaknesses as a manager (rotation,youth management,tactics) often makes me think he's not the top manager we should be seeking stability with. I absolutely share your concern about Essien, at his best he's one of the best midfielders we've had in the last 10 years, but he's looked like a different player for a while now.

If I had to pick I'd be with the Carlo out bunch because they make too many sensible points which are being ignored or countered by arguements which a little more than wishful thinking. However I'm so bloody sick of this discussion I can't be bothered any more. We've examined Ancelotti's pros and cons before so this is really just rehearsing old stuff. So my opinion is: Do I want Ancelotti to be sacked ? No Do I believe he deserves to be sacked ? Yes Might not make sense but it is what it is.

Won't go into lengths analysing this but we lost mostly due to tactics,luck and Cech's fuck up. All are fixable, but right now we're a laughing stock.
