  1. Don't think he will leave. As with all "do you want ___ to leave" polls I'm not going to answer that question.
  2. I'd be worried if our Board or Ancelotti base their views on our loanees on stats.
  3. If believing that every single deal Chelsea make is a good one helps you sleep better at nights by all means don't let me stop you. Right now you're no better than everyone writing him off in October.
  4. Some old posts you've dug up there.I stand by that post despite his games recently. Now if he can perform like in the Fulham game against United, City etc I might consider having second thoughts.
  5. While I agree with all your points 100% (I know, you're shocked ) I'm struggling to see anything positive about this season. The only thing that I personally have gained from this season is some knowledge of how Ancelotti thinks. McEachran's progress has certainly surprised me but it's still not his break-through season, we're a couple of years away from that,
  6. Henry is pre-history. Van Persie is made of glass and if his gets more than 70k per week he's been a terrible signing for them considering his injury record. I don't rate Gibbs and I'm not particularly impressed with Vermaelen who along with Wilshere could be just an exception to the rule. I mean how many terrible CBs did they have before they hit a gold vein in Vermaelen? Wilshere could well be a "statistical mistake" like McEachran for Chelsea (or even Terry back in the day).
  7. Close but I'd pick Mikel for his consistent performing from August to December.
  8. Have they? I mean appart from Nasri and that twat they stole from Barcelona I can't say I'm impressed with who they've scouted.
  9. What would be the point of signing Ganso/Hazard if he's going to get the treatment Kakuta got?
  10. Robinho had all the potential to develop into Ronaldo Mark II.
  11. Quite good review but I was let down by this sentence Utterly simplistic and IMO false. The problems are quite deep and certainly deeper than something as vague as motivation. I'd also say that apart from Drogba's and Essien's form the worst thing about this season was the way we handled our youngsters.
  12. Bet he would struggle in a cold night at the Britiannia Stadium.
  13. What has twitter come to.. @Skalhuno ...
  14. Don't think I've hidden my views on the Torres deal.
  15. Nitpicking but how could he have lost agility without getting fatter?I also doubt he'll suffer much from a balance loss, he was never the strongest striker and it didn't stop him from being successful.
  16. Nah I meant I agree with the fact that 30m for Neymar makes as much sense as 50 for Torres. Any numbers? I remember that with the extension he signed he got as much as we offered him but I can't remember the precise figure.
  17. You'll get heat for this. But I can agree with How much does he earn now at Santos?
  18. Agreed but the most obvious difference is that it was mostly a different set of players against Ipswitch and Sunderland let us reach the end of their box without challenging our players.
  19. It would be (among everything else) a financial disaster. From TV deals to selling tickets it's will be a HUGE step back for Chelsea.
  20. Very interesting topic. While I firmly believe that with our best midfielders in form and playing our 4-3-3 our midfield is good enough for what we need it to do its rather a question of style rather than ability. To understand the reasons that caused such a question I feel we need to dwell in this squad's history ('istoree for you lurking Scousers). Ever since Mourinho we've been playing a brand of football that suits midfielders like Essien and where technical ability isn't vital. Our direct football brought results more often than visually attractive play. Roman's wish for a more attacking style was one of the reasons he hired Scolari who for all his faults turned us into a pretty impressive side in his first few months only to be let down by a squad that didn't match his vision. One of the main reasons behind Hiddink's success was that he opted to switch back to Mourinho's more defensive and direct tactics which our squad (read: midfielders) was designed and build for. Ancelotti, to his credit, took a far more attacking approach than his predecessors and (again to his credit) managed to get results out of that team along with very impressive football at times. While last season he did succeed in marrying our squad and his football I believe that at the end of the day our current midfield options don't suit the football he tries to play (not good enough, if you will). It'll only become even more painfully obvious if the switch to a midfield diamond isn't temporary. What's interesting now is what our club (Football Board + Ancelotti) plans for the future. While signing an Essien clone in Ramires probably points towards us continuing utilizing the "runner" type of midfielders its worth noticing that the majority our our young mids (Mikel, Kakuta, McEachran or even Matic who was a CFC player only a month ago) are technically at least equal to anyone we had in Mourinho's days.
  21. Relax, it's only a blip How can anyone still say that Wilkins' sacking is responsible for the shit we're in with a straight face is beyond me..
