  1. It's Koulibaly who needs to push for the move if we're to sign him.
  2. I think comparing Koulibaly to Bonucci from last season is kind of harsh. I don't watch Serie A much at all, but Bonucci is obviously the more seasoned defender and has grown into his role (helped with being coached by great coaches), whereas Koulibaly is still quite young (in defender age). It is similar to when people say Stones is shit, but fail to take his age into consideration and the coaches he's had (Moyes and Martinez are hardly great tactical minds), but under the right coach he can become a top centre back in the future.
  3. I have watcher neither Koulibaly or Maksimovic. However, I think we need to go for the best option and first choice otherwise we will end up signing a player who is inferior to our main target.
  4. If we sign Koulibaly, I hope for all you Koulibaly supporters he turns out to be worth it. I never know what to believe when the average fan raves about a player, only for them to go to a club and flop.

  6. Di Marzio still not reporting anything significant. I would hold out to see what he and his colleagues report first. "Calcio" "Gazetta" and all these other links seem purely guesswork and nothing sounds concrete at all. I would suspect the dealings are being kept under wraps as much as possible away from the Journalists as to not cause too much commotion. Kante and Michy signings were very similar as in regards to being wrapped up pretty swiftly, and also fairly quietly.
  7. Ever since Lampard left the club, I have been pining for a player of similar ilk - a player who will take 2/3 distance shots per game. I don't see this from any of our players (barring maybe Traore) and it is frustrating. I am not a Pogba groupie like many seem to be, but one thing I an envious of Utd for now, is they have a genuinely good distance shooter; one of those players who can just pull out a top draw shot and it flies into the top corner. Does anyone else agree we're missing this? I feel we've never replaced Lamps' goals from midfield.
  8. I still fail to understand how Di Marzio has no new updates, yet Goal.com, Guardian and the Express do! Something is up with that.
  9. So are most of the so called "journalists" being linked on here. Barring Di Marzio and his colleagues, I would take rumours with a big grain of salt.
  10. Sorry, don't know how to correctly put twitter posts into this thread.

  12. Who is that Donkey asking that? It's fans like those who make our fanbase look like a laughing stock with their constant want, want, want, ungrateful shits.
  13. Who is that Ghoulam fella? He plays for Napoli? Why would he be putting these cryptic messages out, surely Napoli would disallow that.
  14. Dunno mate, but 3 goals in 3 games is a great start. It will be good to see how he develops. I think staying in England has helped as he's used to the style of the game here in England. Bamford is a strange one, I always thought he would do well, but then he was loaned around and never really imposed himself at any club. Last season loan was a mistake as Palace never needed strikers, whereas Tammy is getting chances because Bristol are short on forwards. Good loan.
  15. Any quotes from that article or is this the typical narrative the media is following on from after our poor season and somewhat limited transfer activity? He told the press yesterday the market is tough at the moment because of the crazy fees, so I assume this is what the article means by "frustrated"
  16. Tomori is more than reliable. About time we put some faith in the lad and let him learn from JT just like the big man himself learnt from Desailly instead of chasing some one season wonder CB in the Seria A. Koulibaly has one good season, isn't even Premier League experienced and is going for almost the same fee as Stones went to City for.
  17. When the hell did this lad become "world class", can I ask? Never heard of him before this season, now all of a sudden he's blown up. At 25 years old it seems odd his name hasn't been touted around before now considering the market for defenders isn't huge. I hope he isn't another Mangala or Otamendi - rated highly after one season and then looks average in the Premier League.
  18. Would rather we show some faith in Timori if can't get this guy. I mean sure he's done well in Italy for the past season, but Timori has shown he can be relied upon. He may be young, but what does that matter if he's capable.
  19. Please no. He is a CM and should stay that way. We have a talented young defender in TImori in the ranks, why not just use him if this is possibly a plan. Clarke-Salter deserves a chance too.
  20. His agent has come out and said there's been contact with Arsenal, but no agreement is in place. Sounds like somebody is telling porkies and running with false stories.
  21. Well that's the same for any team. What if Utd get an injury to Smalling? What if City lose Otamendi? What if Arsenal lose Bellerin? etc, etc.
