I'm not so sure Joao Mario is what Conte is looking for, Carvalho definitely not, he's a dm, he can't exactly do what a real b2b would be able to do (although I would love to sign him, I'm a fan). I myself suggested Kante as a b2b, even though I think he'd be more suited to be the dm, and that is already stretching it, but if that is the path we have to follow, then so be it; Gueye could be a good shout, but then take Kante and slap it as b2b, think he could give us more quality. Yes Azpi goes nowhere, I agree. Iva as a cover, I agree. Baba? Meh, it's either him or Kenedy as a backup LB, I'd prefer Kenedy. We need a proper starter either on the left or the right.

I say, bring on that United team to the Bridge, with all due respect, José will have to earn with hard work those 3 points and after the match a round of applause for both Antonio and him. (Really hope our players are up to the challenge though.) The fee is excessive, but this is today's market, either all English clubs should refuse to pay exorbitant sums, or we'll have to follow suit and adapt ourselves to remain competitive. Sadly I think the latter will have to take place.

A little worrying if we're spending so much on strikers, and our first two signings are going to be strikers. Where are those CM, CB, FB.
-
Well that comment had nothing to do with the fans, he had nothing but good words about Chelsea fans. No one has been behind the scenes both at Chelsea and United, so I've no idea why people are raging at those comments. People try to defend Courtois for far more dumb quotes and yet they bash José for every little thing.
-
Thank you, that's the message I've been trying to let through. I really think we would have more chances to get a deal with the player going for Pogba/Dybala than him.
-
Fuck me, selling Matic and keeping Mikel considered as an astute market dealing. I've heard them all.
-
They could agree a fee with the club, but does any of you seriously think Leonardo would go out of Juve and leave Gigi, Barzagli and Chiellini? I don't really think so.
-
If our objective for the midfield area is to replace Mikel with someone slightly better, Lord help us.
-
Ah, alright my bad.
-
I loved his latest part about managing style. Then again the average fan would be scratching his head trying to understand that unknown language "Attack all the time because it looks pretty" Thread is already quite busy, with people over scrutinizing his every word so they can try to bash him. Gonna be quite fun, obsessed I would define them. Ironic. He's had nothing to say but good things about Chelsea's fans, that's what's important. Once Conte will be sacked, because it's gonna happen, useless to hang about, I think that connection I still have with the club could be as good as gone. A man can still hope though.

Bonucci ain't going away from Juventus, it's all but wishful thinking.
-
If we pull our thumbs out our own arse (as we seem to have already done, but it's still early days) And we get those CB-LB-CMx2 I've no doubt we'll be challenging this year already. We won't win it, but we'll be at worst, third. That, and of course, if the players, as Vialli said, will shut up and listen to Antonio.

Popular beliefs not dissimilar from Baba Yaga or other folk tales. I've replied to cookie cutter posts such as this innumerable times before.

I don't even know how that "he's past it" narrative, picked up in here. José walked the league with a team that could've imploded at any moment (just as it did last season.) Longest time at the top of the league? Does anyone remember or are we only picking up the perceived "shit"? Most of all with that average defence and midfield.
-
As long as he doesn't badmouth the club at every opportunity he gets, doesn't moan about wanting transfers to "bigger clubs" and gives his 100% on the pitch, he'll be fine. Nationality has very little to do with it.
-
He said he's going to sign 4 players, and they already have the third, only not official. Get ours coming Asap. "I respect all clubs, especially one that was my home for seven years."
-
That's a nice team he's building if these rumours are true, I would be surprised if he doesn't add at least another CB and/or CM. Can't wait for that Conte/José Head to Head.
-
Well, a man can dream even from his darkest corner of hopeless desperation.
-
Can you really blame me? Yes, I've said it, i'm not sure about that midfield, especially with Fabregas in there. The Nainggolan deal is in all likelihood dead, if we get Witsel I'd rather we get no one, I've no idea who could we sign as b2b type of player; there is Allan, Gomes (We won't go for him at that price) and then? B2b who can do what Nainggolan does are at a shortage nowadays. (Unless we keep Mikel, eh, shoot me now.) We still need a FB; Ivanovic, Azpi, Baba is a shit trio. As for AM, I'd be ok with Willian, Hazard, Pedro, Traoré; I think it's quality, maybe next season we can upgrade on someone as long as we fix CB,LB, CM.
-
I think it's either him or Baba, both are not good enough to be nailed on starters and we can't have both in our lineup, only one slot as back up lb; we need that defensively solid/good while attacking FB to be the starter together with Azpi. Me personally? I wouldn't mind seeing Baba's back.
-
Will make sure to try and catch it somehow.
-
From these latest rumours: Courtois/Bego (Lopez?) ?/Ivanovic-Koulibaly/Terry-Cahill/Zouma (Until Recover)-Azpi/ (Baba?) Willian/Pedro-Fabregas/(Rlc?)-Kante/Matic-Hazard/(Kenedy?) Bats/Traoré-Diego/Pellé Guess if we get Morata one of Kenedy/Traoré will have no space whatsoever, hopefully it will be Kenedy because I think Traoré can become the superior player. Not too sure about that midfield either, I hope Conte will realize soon enough how useless is Fabregas, and we desprately need a new FB.
-
Yes please. Get him out of here.
-
Told you he would use a 4-4-2 (4-2-4) Until he realizes how useless is Fabregas. But we need to bring in that new FB. I could get some serious retina damages if I have to watch more Ivanovic at rb. I'm ok with Cahill being there until Zouma is completely recovered.

Obviously it doesn't mean I will never root for them again, put a good season, two, three, I'll be here defending fiercely, more than you do. But for now I'm wary, as I said, they didn't do enough yet for me to say "It's a one off, it won't happen anymore." And with "good season" I don't mean Win PL, CL and all that. Hell for me they can be 8th, matters little as long as I know they gave their all. Yes, his body language wasn't that good, but maybe because he wasn't satisfied with the team? It's not like he's an emotionless thug. (I don't know how much credibility I can give to that article.) Tomo, trust me when I tell you this; José didn't say anything much when during the summer no targets were acquired. Conte will dismantle the club if that will somehow happen and he recognizes it could've been done, he doesn't spare anything. Siege mentality? You ain't seen nothing yet. All, and I say all the players during the Euro, after a win: "Our group is strong; We've a fantastic group; They underestimated us, now we've brought respect back for our team; (To Italian journalists) That mistake against Ibra, it's only because he was offside, otherwise you wouldn't praise me now." It was a gospel. Antonio at the press conference, every single conference, he picked apart the journos, how they never backed him and the team, how everyone believes we're a shit team and so on and so on. And the federation as well for not giving him more time to train wit the full team. Of course sometimes it was toned down, others, a little less, but it was there. You know why it worked at Juventus and Italy? Because the players believed in him, and most of all, they have balls.
