He is incredible, i am not sure sure what i am more impressed by; his amazing talent or the fact he plays at high level despite many injuries during his career. injuries typically pile up on the body but not for Robben. Freak of nature. Also Julian Nagelsmann is tremendously talented young coach, hope they pass Dortmund and get automatic CL qualification

Saul Niguez and Jorginho are other quality midfielders that I would like to have at Chelsea.
-
Nainggolan is more likely, but easily i would prefer Verratti and i believe pretty much everyone on this forum would agree. Type of player that can take Chelsea to the next level. Huge fan of Adrien Rabiot too, one of my favorite B2B midfielders in the game.

For whatever it is the Madrid fans I know are convinced that Morata will play for Conte next season. Believing he has one foot out of the door and his girlfriend already relocated to London. They seem confident but I am not sure, I am skeptical of such certainty in the transfers market.

David Alaba or Alex Sandro as No.1 left wing-back targets?
Clockwork replied to nathangeorge99's topic in Transfer Archives
Yup Alex Telles or Benjamin Mendy are more realistic options and should be considered. -
Question is how much is he going to cost? I have seen him priced in the £50 range and as high as 63m. That is madness, for someone witch such low credentials and medium potential. Basically a high risk and low reward investment. At a reasonable price that changes something though.

With that loss pretty much secures the title for us. Disagree with the bottle narrative though, I do not believe Spurs bottled anything. They had won like 9 straight PL games before this loss. They made it a title race when a few months ago no one believed they were in the title race and made some Chelsea fans nervous. Even if they were completely perfect down the stretch they still needed us to lose one game and draw one game. This is not a bottle job imho.

forum mentality, either you are garbage or great no middle ground.

If we are signing another RF/RW then it would make sense to sell Willian. Pedro is the better player, and he is more versatile too. Can play ST, RW/LW, and WB. That is a surprise for me initially I thought Willian could be versatile to play WB but Conte has played Pedro in those rare occasions.

The problem with this analysis is that a few things needs to be considered. The majority of those minutes comes from Real easiest games when Benz is rested or games is in control where the opposition is most vulnerable to a beat down. Those numbers are skewed quite a bit. You also have Luxury of more goal scoring opportunities at Real Madrid His goal records at Juventus should also be looked at it, gives more complete picture. I do like Morata and at a reasonable price i would welcome him, but I have doubt if he can carry the goal scoring load. He does a lot of good things on the pitch so I understand why Conte likes him.
-
I like Morata but you need more upfront in terms of goal threat. Play him alongside another Striker or someone like Sanchez who would share that role and interchange out wide.
-
If you sell Matic it would make sense signing him, or switch to a 3 man midfields. He would a decent signing if you are looking for a rotational player but more then that you will be disappointed. I don't see Matic being sold, hard to see him going from a regular to being shipped. reverting to 3 midfielder not sure about that either. We are likely going to win the PL, to take the next step or retain it we need more great players not players that are marginally better then we have.
-
Nope, unless he is forced on Conte and he has no alternative options. He is not type of striker Conte wants; he wants a striker that works for the team.

Which part, no team has won back to back CL? that is fact, the CL started in 1993 and no team has won it back 2 back years. There have been repeated European Cup winners, last one happening under the great Milan side in the late 80s. Or disputing that Real Madrid are not a great side? they have won 2 out of the last 3 CL, and if they win this one that would make it 3 out of 4. magnificent accomplishment.
-
Real Madrid are a great side though, they are likely to repeat as CL winner. And that would be the first time that has every happened. The quality of the opponent should not be forgotten. Atletico are a good side, not the best under Simeone but i seriously doubt we would beat this team. Alti are not the same pressing team they were in the past, they have actually changed a bit they are much more attacking then previously. The emphasis on pressing is not the same, and that might be due to personals and the fact it is just extremely hard to play the way they have done years after years. Simeone Alti at their prime were the best pressing team i have ever seen. Still a great achievement for them. But i wonder if it is time for him to go elsewhere because i can't seem them competing with Barca and Real any time soon.

Speaking of being Black and having short hair Naby Keita has both physical features and for the slightest he doesn't remained me of Ramires. We should go after him. Now Bakayoko similarity with Ramires; both energy players and aggressive ball winners. He likes to drive the ball from midfield just like Ramires was famously known for, End result typically getting fouled or losing the ball when colliding or trapped between opposing players. Both thrive in space and games depend on it. Both have awful and consistent first touches, prone to losing the ball. Both are limited passers. Both dependent on their physical ability. Not similar: Ramires liked to play off the ball and dangerous at it and threatening goal scorer. Bakayoko not as goal threatening, more disciplined and holding his position.

Very uninspiring just a tad better then Ramires was. The guy is a black hole in Monaco team.

Calm your ass; I use that phrase quite often with my friends when they get heated or overreact over silly and random stuff. It wasent ment to be rude, without vocal tone I see it has no place on the forum. So I apologize. Word of advice though you should reread your own posts before calling others rude. Not everybody has sold Hazard, one poster said it best this speculation will only rest this summer; when Hazard makes it definitive. I think he will stay but it wouldn't surprise if he left.
-
Calm your ass, no one said Isco is as good as Hazard or want him to replace Eden. It was if you are going to lose Hazard then getting Isco in return would soften the blow somewhat. Isco is a great player in his own right, not as impactful and influential as Hazard, but he can do things Hazard couldn't do from creativity and passing. If Isco wasent at Real Madrid, he would Walk in to Barcelona midfield. He is a great player. if you admit Hazard will one day move to Madrid, what is wrong with the timing? When is a better time? He has proven everything in England, only critique of him is unproven in CL. Can Chelsea challenge with the best of them and does Hazard believe it?
-
I don't know what will happen; want to keep Hazard obviously. But if it did i would push for Isco in return and money of course. Isco is the most similar to Hazard, not as explosive though.
-
I agree this summer is the best opportunity to sign him, after that no chance. Imo he is the best talent since Neymar. I really hope we sign him. He is not going anywhere to be second choice, i am sure that is something he has learned from Anthony Martiel. Comfortability with the manager will be a priority, not sure how fuzzy he will feel with Mourinho.
-
I wouldn't worry about that, the way football is played today it actually benefits him. This would be a legit concern if your wide FW/AM played like wingers and stayed out wide.
-
I want Kylian Mbappe to replace Costa; he is already better then Lukaku. Younger and higher potential.
-
Just doesn't do it for me, i can't fathom a club wanting to reach the elite of european football and having him as their leading ST.
-
Versatile player that could play LB/CB. Given he could cover for Cahill and Alonso, and may even start over one of them.
